  1. You guys are on drugs.. lol
  2. R31 most pure, R32 most hardcore, R34 most effective, R33 best compromise.
  3. I'll take the clutch fan if I can fit it to an R32 gt-r .
  4. I can't see any reason why it couldn't.. basically as long as you follow the guidelines for the gas it will behave like any other refrigerant. He wont give me a warranty however lol.
  5. Count me in, i'll bring my habibs and we'll all sit on the side lines and yell for you to give it a bit bro. Also, we have a neat party trick everyone loves where I sit in my sick beast and they stand in front and hold the car while I unleash. That way I do mad burnouts which all the ladies love. Also I'll bring my cuz who has mad sick photo video recording skills and will make sure to get everyones number plates on TV doing fully sick things!
  6. Thanks Bozz, the mechanic I spoke to wasn't happy about putting HC into a system designed for 134A is the compression issue the likely reason why? Or does 134a have exactly the same problem?
  7. Also Bozz I am interested in how you went about DIY you should post an article up about it because i'm sure a few people are interested.
  8. Well I spent a lot of time talking to a rep from HiChill yesterday which was fascinating. Basically Bozz is on the money about the deal. HiChill is simply a mix of iso-propane and butane (called hichill -30). You can buy it off the shelf from R&E parts in Glen Waverley - aristoc road. The mechanic next door is going to put it in my 94 gts-t which is currently running R134a, all that is involved is a flush (most importantly to remove lubricant which converts to acid in the presence of moisture) and new receiver/dryer which I have been advised is recommended for any re-gas anyway (if you like doing things properly). It is flammable but there appears to be a lot of misinformation about this and the relevance of the flammability of less than 300gs of butane, when you consider you have 50L of petrol or LPG anyway . If you have an early model R32 which is installed with R12 then usually it's as simple as removing old gas and installing hichill. R12 doesn't use the nasty lubricant and hence a flush isn't required. I called around a few places and prices are generally around 60-80 for a straight re-gas and 200-300 for a flush and new dryer.
  9. Kudos i'm fairly certain are Australian, and one of the guys that works for them is on the forums.. can link you his name if you like he's very helpful.
  10. In your first post you list it as HR32? as in gts-t chassis not GT-R chassis? GT-R would be BNR32. <quote> rust in door well - V Bad not impossible to fix and not terminal.. try and get a photo. Certainly not something you would expect in a 20k GT-R? degassed air con - All imports must be degassed as part of compliance, unfortunately it usually happens overseas in all the wrong ways. sump plug (need to check it's there now) - The workshop may have simply been changing the oil? However if it was run with no oil even if sump plug is there now, running the gearbox with no oil is V Bad. bubbling in rear window tint - Normal, get a new tint. weird non standard wing - Has a standard wing with a lip as well? missing badges - Normal japanese head unit doesn't receive local frequency radio - Normal
  11. HyChill sounds great but it seems difficult to get?
  12. Has any body checked to see what compatability there is between clutch fans. The long and short of it is I need one for an R32 gtr, I have the fan off a gtr but not the thermocore that it bolts onto. I have an RB20 clutch fan core.. can I make these work? . Similarly can R33 fans be used?
  13. Got mine through the 15 year rule. When I bought mine importers were just loaded on 32 gtrs.
  14. Looking an R32 regassed as it appears the AC works but not very well (although the same is true of the heat -.-). I have never done this before so i'm wondering if it's a pretty simple process that could get done by a local mechanic (who recently started advertising that they regas) or if it's better to go to an AC specialist etc.
  15. http://www.kudosmotorsports.com/catalog/dr...80_281_335.html Make sure you get the right one As far as I could find this is the cheapest place for genuine parts.
  16. swap ya
  17. ALso interested for both my 4 doors . ps. CeJay that is a friggen awesome picture of your car.. colour looks amazing there!
  18. I enjoyed this one ... nice 'gt-r' boys http://www.youtube.com/user/VicHighwayPatr.../14/3lZ8Wx7MdWI
  19. One thing that strikes me.. and I will caveat this by saying I know nothing of good exhaust design .. but why have the dual tips each side? it looks like a single on each side would be more efficient :S.
  20. Herm not the kind of project to undertake lightly. Would suggest it is probably more sensible to get the car you have running well before attempting something like that. I have been down the path before and generally what happens is just never actually get to enjoy the car because you spend the whole time fixing problems that really never needed fixing in the first place . It would make far more sense to go for a 25/30 auto in any case.
  21. For the money why not just invest in a better kit? Anyways I have never seen it done but it would be fairly simple to do yes.
