  1. How did you go with the bleed guide? Obviously not successful?
  2. This is my understanding, Tractive effort is the amount of force the vehicle can exert (the amount it can pull). Generally it is referred as either continuous or maximum i'm guessing you have maximum there which would simply be the highest reading seen while on the dyno.. which is typical at the lowest revs. So it isn't really a measure of the engine so much as a measure of the ability of the entire car. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tractive_force
  3. Hehe car is at a workshop atm.. but thanks for that advice I will definitely check ASAP. I definitely have an early R32 GT-R gearbox (push type) as that's the clutch I just put in it . I also definitely have a GTS-4 master cylinder.
  4. I had exactly what you described. Bought a new pedal box fixed it completely. The old one had been welded up in an attempt to fix the bending that often occurs on the stock unit. You can even buy a Nismo one which is much stronger.
  5. Ya i've had advice from professionals that I should use a gts-4 master and gt-r slave :S. But most advice points to gts-4 master and slave. The question I guess is what is the difference in slaves? do they all bolt up the same (even push on pull?).
  6. Dang boned because I have GTS4 (with RB26) + GT-R gearbox so i'm guessing that package wont work in my case. Oooh just notice you have the same thing??
  7. Is anyone aware of the differences between this and a gt-r install? In particular I have an R32 early gt-r gearbox with a gts-4 master. What replacement would be the best option?
  8. Yes I believe you are correct as well.. and I don't want to trial by fire . I'm sure the GT-R unit uses the booster, but i'm also sure it is often removed because it doesn't add a lot to the equation. In this case to people switch to gts-t masters?
  9. O'brien are dirt in my books. I used this guy last time on my 4-door and he was very pro. Capital Auto Glass 0404 877 626
  10. Hmm well I have a GT-R gearbox so i'm guessing I need this one => http://www.kudosmotorsports.com/catalog/ni...3334-p-384.html Is it worth changing the slave as well to be sure? The symptoms are that as it gets hotter the clutch pedal moves higher up the pedal to the point of it slipping on 35+ days.
  11. Just to chime in that there is another factory super turbo. Golf GT http://www.webwombat.com.au/motoring/news_...f-gt-review.htm Love these cars and enjoyed the episode from mighty mods .
  12. Wouldn't even matter what was inside the car.. the photos from Okinawa win . Going to have to do some training (karate) there soon!
  13. I have no idea what these are and where to get them . Can anyone enlighten me as i've been informed that my slave/master is rooted. Sorry for the noob question.
  14. Seen a few RAID stickers on cop cars. Also seen the plod on the corner of Gratton and Elizabeth writting tickets for cyclists and pedestrians breaking the law. They had every side of the road covered and were seeing people on one side of the intersection and pulling them over on the other. A few seatbelts and mobile phones . Was good to not be on the receiving end but i'm guessing a lot of people had a bad day.
  15. Lets see some more R32 4-door spots! I want to be spotted god damn it.. I even stuck my Sau sticker on
  16. Most of the mods you have mentioned can be done without really presenting a big problem for defects. The stock airbox is more than adequate for almost all power needs, don't waste your time on them just keep it stock. That said I know of one skyline that had the stock airbox cut up to fit the pod inside it.. so that the stock cover would bolt on over the top and the pod was invisible from above. IC is worth the upgrade. Again Atmo BOV really isnt' worth having, just upgrade to a GT-R unit if you really need to, more than adequate for any boost you are likely to throw at the car (and also avoids the annoying problems with BOV + stock tune). ECU, well either run powerfc but keep the stock cover, or just get nisstune instead. A well setup exhaust is generally quiet enough to pass EPA. Injectors, Cam gears, fuel pump are invisible. Turbo completely agree with WYTSKY just put the heatshield back over the top, almost impossible to tell the difference with that there. Really don't need to run a car 3mm off the ground and most good suspensions wont be setup under to legal height anyways. Brakes, never heard of anyone getting done. In terms of performance you can get quiet a lot out of these mods and still be essentially undefectable. Really it's just about attitude.. if you come across with the attitude of i'll mod my car to the max and with no thought for legality.. of course you will get done. But if you approach it with the attitude of the laws are there as a guideline as long as i'm sticking to the spirit of it i'll be fine.. you wont get defects.
  17. awesome mods ya.. nice gts-t! enjoy!
  18. I paid 4K for an auto exactly as you described (best buy ever ).
  19. Should be a sticky of all these cock ups lol. Always entertaining to read.
  20. So cars with start buttons should also come with stop buttons.
  21. The sample in fuel didn't degrade over night. So I used heatshrink and then cable tied a piece of fuel hose over the top as well. I will take it off and inspect in a few months to make sure it's all hunky dory .
  22. they are already using wind power for energy, the latest McClaren has air brakes much like an aeroplane. If you are thinking that somehow you can make energy by capturing any form of kinetic energy while burning litres of fuel to get moving, you are missing a fundamental of thermodynamics. Any attempt will only result in an equal or greater amount of fuel being burnt. Solar is grand, except that it is reaalllly expensive.
  23. Has anyone gone into more detail about rewiring the fuel pump?
  24. Sitting in the Jar as we speak .
  25. Doesn't the current Prius already use regenerative brakes?
