  1. ROFL I was about to suggest you just take it Trent. Really is worth the wait. It has been my (and a number of my friends) experience that someone with the level of experience of Trent is going to diagnose your problems in a fraction of the time with a lot less mucking around. From there it is usually a relatively simple process to rectify. In the Victoria section is a list of other workshops that might have time to take a look (although it seems everyone is flat out before xmas!).
  2. I am definitely inclined toward the japanese kits atm (trying to find out how much they can be had for in Japan from some friends before buying through Nengun which seems very spensive). This is simply because as BB points out the whole kit is there very little to add and the quality is a given. Furthermore given the exchange rate, if it can be had without going through a reseller, you are paying a very reasonable price. That said I'm trying to cost out the suggested alternatives atm.
  3. Damn shame. How does it rate against a chaser?
  4. My car was very cheap from Japan back in 2004 when importing was relatively new for R32s. Haven't really spent much because most of it was already done, really the respray and the twinplate clutch were by far the two most expensive things I have done. GT-R bars can be quite hard to track down, in your case I would try and wait for the same colour to come up and buy that rather than getting a cheaper one that is in the wrong colour . Ditto for Bonnet. Fitment is exactly the same as a GT-R although I have the guards as well, I believe it is a simple process to fit to gts-t guards. The important thing is that the stock GT-R bar actually has very good aero properties, is plastic and quite light, and does look fantastic. It's very hard to go past. The bonnet is also a great mod because the gts-t bonnet actually weighs a lot . Guards are not really worth the effort in my experience. All this said, my GF has a stock gts-t that the Count was refering to and it's going to stay stock because really.. the stock setup is very good and looks very good too.
  5. With respect to buyer parts from other users I normally don't have any issues because I check to make sure they have a relatively long trade history or at the very least a long an active participation with the club. However a particular part has come up which I would like but the seller has been a 'lurker' since 2008. What options do I have to ensure a clear transaction? As far as I have found Pay Pal can only give me protection if the sale is through EBay. https://cms.paypal.com/cgi-bin/marketingweb...;locale.x=en_US
  6. I'll take the headlights pickup at 200.
  7. I have uras frontbar on mine which i'm about to take off to replace with standard GT-R .
  8. Wowzers, 11 responses with about 11 different recommendations . That does go somewhat toward explaining why I have seen so little mention of actual setups. Incidently I have a 26 and access to the oil filter is pretty simple, is a relocation really worth the extra fittings?
  9. Willing to post to melbourne? Do you have the shroud for the fan?
  10. Given how a commonly cited 'required' mod for tracked RBs is an oil cooler I'm wondering what are the commonly chosen options? Given our dollar, a Japanese or even American unit would be reasonable I imagine? The trust setup comes with a BNR32 arrangement: http://www.nengun.com/trust-greddy/oil-coo...andard-location Or perhaps the PWR core with some custom lines: http://www.horsepowerinabox.com/HPIAB2/category82_1.htm
  11. Thanks for your help guys.. and you were all too right. Couldn't believe it after a bit of tidying up, filling the points a little, spraying some WD40 into the pistons, pouring some 20-50w in, hand turning it a few times, and a big jump start... off she went merry as anything . can't wait to spend some time with this car.
  12. I quite like the stock spoiler actually. I'd actually recommend pretty much leaving it as is and just enjoying it like that will give you a lot of trouble free driving I'd imagine.
  13. I have cam gears sitting on the passenger seat but was recommended that they are largely a waste of time. And it's getting a lot more road time now . Also forgot to mention I have since put a Nismo super coppermix twin plate in, awesome clutch.
  14. Sorry to post a non-skyline related question but I have an old KE30 sitting in a paddock that i'm hoping to get running today. It's been off the road for 2 years. Hopefully (touch wood) a bit of love and she'll at least go. I'm wondering what oil would be recommended? Also I suspect the points are rooted, are these off the shelf items? Is there anything else worth touching before I start it up?
  15. Post it up in the members rides section . My GF has 4-door 32 as well which we bought for 4G. I love it almost as much as my own car. Just something about the 4-doors and yes they look like type-m skirts and frontbar and pods . Why are you considering a respray? The paint looks pretty good really it's just your front bar which looks a bit sad. But then it's plastic so it's really only a vanity thing and it wouldn't be hard to get it redone on its own.
  16. Be careful with a mines ECU in a car like that.
  17. haha awesome vid
  18. Trust FMIC Bosch 044 Stock Airbox Fujitsubo 3 inch Stock ECU remap by Status 245rwkw @ 14psi
  19. Just wondering if there is a recommend reliable oil cooler setup that is tried and tested for a 26, even it costs a little more? Given our dollar, a Japanese or even American unit would be reasonable I imagine? The trust setup comes with a BNR32 arrangement: http://www.nengun.com/trust-greddy/oil-coo...andard-location Or perhaps the PWR core with some custom lines: http://www.horsepowerinabox.com/HPIAB2/category82_1.htm
  20. While I wait for the GTR bar to go on with Grill (woot finally) I thought I might post an update about the car. Recently got the car tuned down at Status in Victoria and it went from 200rwkw to 245rwkw. Apparently one of the, if not the, highest power out of a 'stock' 26 at 14psi Status has seen .
  21. After some searching I have found nothing relating to RB20S's. However the wiki article makes reference to a common mod being to put the a DE head on but retain the carbys for an RB24s. Perhaps you have an RB24s in disguise with an RB20DE head on top? or perhaps just an RB20e head? odd thing to get though . Quick edit: can't be a 20 head on a 24 because they are incompatible.
  22. I just put a stock airbox back on after running pods for 5 years. Really don't lose anything except a little extra noise and just made 245kw at 14psi. As already pointed out the airbox is actually better unless you have a decent cold air setup and certainly helps in vic if you want less attention with respect to law enforcement .

    My New Car

Lotus i'm seeing exactly the same numbers as you with respect to temps. I'm guessing he has an oil cooler a good investment by the looks of things. Also welcome to 2x 32s in the garage, good feeling isn't it . I feel my solution is better though 2x 4-doors but only one has a 26 in it gotta love 20s for puttering around town. Then again who am I kidding if I could have 2x 26s I would in a flash, grats!
  24. Eeek I have never seen one of these before, what a nice looking car and with an RB too.. hmmm I like . These aren't available for import through SEVS (or whatever it is called) yet are they? Keep up the good work!
