  1. even with idle fully screwed in it has climbed back up to 1500
  2. Hmm maybe it is bugged for me? But I can see that images have been attached, however if I try and connect to any it just brings up the "this file is missing".
  3. If I unplug the aac nothing much happens, if I wind the idle control screw down (it's now at the bottom) the idle drops but doesn't get below 1100. If I apply any (slightly) pressure on the throttle linkage the idle drops down.
  4. Crickey for RB26 you have 2 of these O2 buggers to deal with >.< and the ACC valve is buried under the manifold! Woe is me with my idle problems!
  5. last week my idle just shot up to 1500. I fiddled around with the idle screw and it seemed to settle down.. however whenever I drive the car it slowly increases the idle speed each time I pull up at some lights. Any ideas? A mate mentioned that funnyness with a lack of Aircon can do this?
  6. http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/secret_new_ca...=582&page=1 read and weep .
  7. Yeah nice display good to see the car finally chrisman . Loved the metallic green GTR very nice car overall!
  8. Don't suppose you could put the photos back up somehow? Thinking my AAC (IAC) valve is the problem but not confident enough to just start removing stuff on an RB26 .
  9. Cheers there is a thead in DIY http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...mp;hl=IAC+valve but all the pictures are dead .
  10. Yeah I thought it was the throttles however by reving the car around a bitter and playing with the throttle nothing seems to be wrong, futher the idle is very reliable at 1500. It hasn't been a progressive change.. it just happened yesterday while driving.
  11. Wow no suggestions at all?
  12. Hey guys, car's been running fine (although idle aways sat up at 1000 ) anyway today driving to work I got a few kilometers down the road and pulled up to some lights and the idle dropped down to 1500 or so instead of the usual 1000. For the rest of the trip it stayed at 1500 idle. When I drove back home this afternoon it started up and idled fine however again after the car warmed up the idle went back to 1500. Any ideas?
  13. which choose those tail lights out of interest? Looks awesome very impressive work!
  14. Cable ties are the way to go for mounting them.. but yeah the rest looks very dodgy indeed.
  15. Engine isn't really modified (at least not to my knowledge) stock R32 1994 engine with stock turbos, Greddy 65mm (I think) intercooler + piping, 044 fuel pump, blitz dual screen BC, 3 inch exhaust, big koyo radiator and that's about it. 2 weeks ago it got 218.7 rwkw on the dyno which is a little less than I had hoped but pretty decent for 1 bar boost. Hoping to get a powerfc and some cam gears fairly soon and make up my mind on a nice set of steel wheeled turbos but for now i'm just enjoying having it back on the road .
  16. All questions welcome don't be shy. Guards aren't cheap.. over 300 each but there are some a lot cheaper I think for sale atm already primed in vic (just check to see how straight they are first!). They fit up fine but make fitting any sideskirts or gts-t frontbars a nightmare plus you need indicators.. so it all adds up pretty quick. My sideskirts are bent right around to fit over the guards and I definately wouldn't recommend doing that.. the only option which I can really see is to get gtr sideskirts and gts-t sideskirts of the same company and cut and paste.. expppeennssive. They do however change the entire road presence of the car and give it a much more aggressive profile and also help get some weight off the front! Definately don't regret getting them . The guards were rolled by an NS member called athid, pm me for more details if interested he goes out and rolls many guards a week and is expert with Nissans . My paint flaked, 90% of R32's paint will flake, so you pretty much should expect that.. although you can probably repaint over for a cheaper alternative. If you are getting a respray.. get the guards done.. cheap and excellent mod . My guards were rolled the day before it got painted up . With the amount I have done (which is basically the maximum you can do to a 4 door) I should be able to happily fit GTR offset wheels. Another thing to note is that due to the design of the metal and underlying support on 4 doors (this isn't an issue for 2 doors) It seems almost certain that the metal above the flare will "pop" out and that the rear door seal will move up slightly. A good solid thump (one way is with yellow pages and a big tap ) will "pop" it back in but again you might need to do some work on the paint if unlucky and the door seal cannot really be fixed (although it didn't have any noticeable effect whatsoever on the door operation on my car).
  17. Well those photos were taken in tassy where I have just come back from holidays. Hit up a few mountains down there and it certainly impressed . Given that the whole front end is GTR (panels wheels brakes etc..) it handles just like a GTR.
  18. Fairly long mod list all of which are support mods and fairly unexciting . The car has had a complete GTR conversion from engine to seats. Just got the body repaired (inc new rad support), sprayed up and kitted (although i'm thinking of going to a GTR frontbar, the URAS is way too low for street use) at DT panels in Springvale. Anyways here are some pics for your entertainment .
  19. Aww no one spotted me on my holiday last week .
  20. 4 door R32 GTR is Non turbo RB26 also autech released.
  21. There have been a fair number on J spec that I have seen (the autech 33) and they were only around 35 from what I saw.
  22. Hey just wiring up my headunit today and I notice on the wiring diagram provided at the top of this forum that there is no "headlight" wire. I have been informed that R32's should have that wire.. any ideas? It is for diming the brightness of the headunit when you turn your headlights on if you are interested.
  23. Hmm well I just got my windscreen replaced and the 4 door one is longer . That would explain why the A pillar might be different.
  24. V35 V36 screwed skylines? Where on earth did you get this idea from? They are brilliant cars and are a much better package the the previous cars. Ohh wait it doesn't have a turbo can't be good eh. Maybe you are thinking of a different bunch of cars when you think of skylines, but from what I know of the lineage V35 and V36 fit in perfectly. As does the timing of the New GTR.
