Bonnet is in quite good nick.. slight tear in the fibre though . I wouldn't be surprised if that would be bannable although i'm told it would be fixable. Can try and dig up a photo for you. Yeah I been looking at around 600 for a bonnet but nothing in Victoria lately otherwise I would have snapped it up. Couple of offers from interstate but postage is a nightmare. KK I have determined that the SAU paint code list is quite short for silvias . LP2 red/blue pearl is the 180sx type-x purple, from simple deduction the only other purple paintcode which was around during the right time frame is LP1, grey/purple. The name sounds right but I can't find any conclusive evidence that this is the right code, can anyone point me towards enlightenment?

Yeah there are a few up north sadly I need one pretty soon and further more i'm already getting the money sucked outta me not sure I can fork out over 1000 :S.

I need of a GTR bonnet in vic, my car is currently under the hammer and the shop decided that the damage to my bonnet was pretty much unfixable (stoopid CF bonnets) so i'm in need of a new one.. pref a GTR one . Anyone know any places that might have one?

I frequent both forums and I don't think i've ever seen SAU mentioned on NS except for when someone is asking about skylines. I have however on many occassions seen threads about NS on these forums where regulars make snide comments about NS. If you haven't seen this i'm quite surprised, prolly if you do a search for drift you will see it . Anyways I think it's over and done with now.

I have one of those blitz boost controllers with the dual screen thingo and it does lap timing.

I can tell you from experience that the EL fan does not fit past the p steer pump on a GTR. I have only one of the 2 fans mounted now which i'm considering taking back off and going back to clutch until I can work out a better solution.

To be honest I was really anticipating a great thread here, silvias are one thing to drift but skylines are a bit more tricky with the extra weight of the RBs up the front. They tend to be very understeery so yeah heaps of grip on the front helps a lot . I have slid my car both on tarmac and skid pan and a little around some corners, it certainly isn't nearly as fun in an AWD as a RWD but im' paranoid about clutch packs so didn't really do much in RWD. I'd definately say put plenty of money into cooling for australian drifting get a nice hard suspension and a really big flat area to practise with nothing sharp and hard .

Understandably jump the gun.. the "excrement flinging" started from the NS bagging and now the NS guys are being made out as the aggressors.. not that I actually know who the NS guys are but anyway. It happens often and it annoys me.. thus I and probably everyone else bothered posting. You can sure see why the skyline forums have a reputation for arrogance.

So far I have gotten someone with that colour to check the plate and it says "LN1 G" which I matched with "concord grey" :S.

Yeah it seems to be the "cool" thing to pay out nissansilvia.. god knows why cause the interests of both are really very similiar.. Regarding drift there _are_ a lot of VERY experience drifters on NS.com but it's not a place for learning where to drift :S. Prolly best off going to a skid pan day (Which I know NS organise frequently in victoria) if you're brave you can take ya car to calder too .

Been a couple of threads about this.. just do a quick search you will find that almost everyone agrees that this job isn't really worth the effort involved. That's not to say it's impossible and hasn't been done before.. but yeah.. you'd really wanna not like the tailights . The easier option is to get something like the Bee-r 4 door tailight covers.

It is 100% a stock colour know several people who have the colour.. comes on later model 180sx . I don't doubt the color is in the paintcode thread.. but how the heck do I find out what the name of the color actually is?

Does anyone have any idea where I could find the paint code for the stock nissan 180sx purple paint. Although purple 180s seem very different colours in different pictures depending on lighting this i am fairly sure is not the right colour. I need someone who has this colour to read the nissan information plate which looks something like: .................Nissan Motor Co LTD Japan ............................E-HCR43 Chassis No: HCR32-016693 Model: RCR32GASM AA Colour code: KG1 G 130 Engine: RB20DET 1998 cc Transmission / Axle : RE4R01A RC43 And tell me what their "Colour code: KG1 G 130" says. So far one person has quoted it as LN1 which doesn't seem to make sense given that matches with 'Concord Grey'.
