  1. Sorry was in a conference today, i'll call you tomorrow Bec.
  2. I have a stock R32 gts-t 4-door you could use for this. Oh and I live in area .
  3. That would be me in my wife's car. Hi.
  4. I have 3 R32 skylines with various turbo engines. I have started thinking it's time to get something more practical for everyday use/towing so that I can poor more money into the cars I love. After a quick look at what is on offer in the 20-30G range the Subaru Forester XT and Territory Turbo stuck out as two cars that could still be entertaining on a daily basis but also let me zip down to bunnings and buy stuff for the house without tearing my hair out . The Forester has around a 1600kilo towing capacity which sounds sketchy for someone wanting to tow so this leaves the territory turbo (2300kilo). Has anyone else been down this path?
  5. hold your questions until it races at le man I guess . On similar note I wonder how I managed to not see a post on the Juke-R here?
  6. Car 80 driven by david white. A Cooper bristol.
  7. That is correct. He came out and hit the concrete between the straight and the pit lane. Was a sickening sight. The skylines retired.. Not sure why but the 31 was at the front until then.
  8. Bad conclusion at philip island historics. Possible fatality as driver ejected from car after coming unstuck in last corner before straight and hitting the wall. I hope david is ok. Not to mention all the skylines retiring from the second run.
  9. They were very easy to deal with and the report was quite detailed. I would mention that you shouldn't waste your time with 1 sample, plan to do a couple, because a lot of the information they derive is based on the change in the levels of various metals etc.
  10. interesting gearstick knob... who cares whether it was originally auto lol. Quite a few nice bits appear to be stuck on that car.
  11. http://hardtuned.net/forums/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=362874 Is the best diagram I have yet found on these turbos.. although it could be totally wrong. If i'm aiming for 250rwkw with the potential to hit 300, surely the 25G is the better option? Or the 20G if I go for a TD06H? Sorry to be a pain in the balls, there are just way too many options with stuff and i'm a total noob .
  12. Hoping for an easy 250rwkw with the potential to hit 300rwkw depending how the engine goes . Photos are from my Inlaws place. I think Kinugawa call that turbo the TD06SL2-25g I think. It was that: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Kinugawa-Turbocharger-4-Inlet-TD06H-25G-T3-4-bolt-10cm-AR-73-500P-/270913941592?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f13bab058#ht_2314wt_1399 Or this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Kinugawa-Turbocharger-3-Anti-Surge-TD06SL2-25G-10cm-T3-Oil-Cooled-V-Band-/280825908454?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4162874ce6#ht_2425wt_1399
  13. No. But then mine was completed back when the 15 YO import rule was in effect and things were 'more relaxed' then .
  14. still umming and ahhing . TD06 (something) - 2 (something) with 10cm housing. lol
  15. If you want a gt-t to look like a gt-r -> to make it look any good it is a matter of how much money you want to spend. General consensus: Don't bother unless money really is irrelevant to you. (15K upwards for no real value add to car) If you want an RB26 powered rwd gt-t -> engine conversion. If you want a rwd gt-r -> buy gt-r and drop front drive shafts If you want a gt-r converted to rwd -> drop front drive shafts, weld up sump, put RB25 gearbox in. If you want to completely convert a gt-t to a gt-r by swapping over everything and then make it rwd, you are retarded.
  16. Sourced complete manual conversion parts from a 32 gtr now, getting sick of the waiting though . Decided to go an external gate setup using the kando budget specials, could be a disaster but hopefully will learn something along the way.
  17. as an owner of a 32 sedan with an RB26, I say go for it .
  18. Have been advised that injectors are pretty much a must.. and coming from an Rb20, 270cc injectors don't go far . 7 psi isn't actually low boost, that's factory R34 boost so you could just use the whole setup and get that boost without any mucking around. The NA motor has smaller intake manifold and twin runners after the throttle body so you will need to do some custom work to get the R34 piping to mate up (cross over pipe can't be used). The block will still need to be tapped for the appropriate oil return which might be difficult without pulling the engine out (no idea, my engine is on a stand so that's easy ).
  19. Call the workshop yourself?
  20. shame there is no low mount option.
  21. The chassis rails sit in the same position, but the rear and front guards are pumped to fit wider wheels. While the front guards are easily changed over, the rear means that is very difficult to match the track of a GT-R. There are blister kits available but involve making very permanent mods (damage) to a gt-t chassis.
  22. I love those driving shows where they take male drivers aged 18-23 or whatever and get them to complete the same basic tasks as several other groups and repeatedly demonstrate that that age bracket is clearly the worst drivers and the most at risk . I haven't forgotten all my opinions from when I was that age, I just don't agree with any of them any more .
  23. Sorry but GT-R rear housings are 5 bolt too. RB20/25 uses a 6-bolt rear housing which AFAIK nothing else uses. I think the two 5 bolt housings housings are different: SR20 - http://zage.en.alibaba.com/viewimg/picture.html?picture=http://i00.i.aliimg.com/photo/v0/243832912/Nissan_Silvia_S13_S14_S15_SR20DET_Turbo.jpg RB26 - http://zage.en.alibaba.com/viewimg/picture.html?picture=http://i00.i.aliimg.com/photo/v0/242274706/NISSAN_SKYLINE_R32_R33_RB26DET_Turbo_Turbine.jpg so, find out which one you have? T28 from S13/14/15 will bolt to SR dump... from R32/R33/R34 will bolt to RB26.
  24. I'm not sure what you guys are insinuating by 'must use' and 'committed'. The engine is out of the car and I'm looking for something that is comfortably going to do 250+ rwkw on a na block motor running E85 with some heavy use in mind. I say 250rwkw _+_ because i'm not really sure just how far this motor can be pushed, so 250 seems like a good starting figure. There are literally millions of ways to go about this, but i'm looking for something cost effective while still having room to go higher. I am quite prepared to go an external gate setup if it nets me those rewards and isn't cost prohibitive, from discussions I have had so far this is the case. I don't want to go a garret because it is twice the price for seemingly little benefit, that said if that kando is a piece of crap there is surely nothing stopping me from going back to garret (which I currently use in my other skylines). I have posted in this thread because I am 'interested' and 'intrigued' by the potential of these turbo's; they have the extra leg room over an internally gated turbo (especially when i'm interested in a flex fuel setup and may need to run stupidly low boost settings while on <E85) while not costing the extra that name brand external gate turbo setups might. Obviously unless I have the same setup that someone else has done it is all guess work. In my case I understand there isn't a lot of experience with Neo DE+T's on E85 let alone which specific turbos might be a good choice, and I'm quite prepared to get it wrong. I was hoping someone in here might have a better idea than me . I appreciate your thoughts on my options because this is my first time venturing off the beaten track, however I do want to make it clear that this car is purely for fun/hobby/toy. It currently lives in a shed with no time limit associated and I am able to do all the work on it myself. anyway, sorry for the wall of text, the TD06SL2-20G 10cm housing was the turbo I was thinking too.
