  2. Nah u wouldn't like them Roy
  3. OK I've hacked the letter they had on NS.com and changed it. Guys and Girls feel free to hack mine or point out anything needing changing. Cheers! Mr Phillip Barresi Minister for Deakin PO Box 232 Mitcham VIC 3132 Wednesday 13th October, 2004 Dear Mr Barresi, You have no doubt noticed the recent boom in the Victorian import car scene. There is an ever growing number of Japanese high performance and sports cars on Victorian roads but unfortunately the effects of this trend are not always good as we have been shown by the 2 tragic deaths last week in St. Kilda. As an import owner and active committee member of Skylines Australia Victoria I am writing to you to express my support for the construction of a Car Enthusiasts Recreational Area in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne in which all motor vehicle enthusiasts can use their cars in a controlled and monitored environment. There is a number of reasons why I believe this idea could be of benefit to Victoria and it’s people. As a representative of SAU Vic I am happy to say that we are now a CAMS (Confederation of Australian Motor Sport) affiliated club which means that we are now able to hold our own motor sport events. The only major issues is finding the facilities and the time to organise and get to the events and this is mainly due to the location of Victorias 2 main RaceDrag circuits, Calder Park and Heathcote both over 1.5 hours away from the South East suburbs. While I strongly support Calder Park and their efforts to get younger drives off the road into a safer environment I can’t help but feel that this facility is simply out of reach for many. This is due to the fact that the events start at 5pm on a Friday afternoon and I’m sure you can imagine how hard it is to get away from work let alone drive from Knox to either Heathcote or Calder during peak hour. Calder and Heathcote are also only open for use during particular times which can also make it very difficult. A facility such as the one I am proposing is one I would most certainly make regular use of, and encourage my fellow SAU members and car enthusiasts to make good use of. Young car enthusiasts are an emerging group who must be recognised as a significant subculture of this world not just Melbourne. The government aids in providing facilities for the likes of skateboarders, bike-riders, shooters, swimmers and many others but has failed to provide for us. As I stated earlier currently the only facility available to us in Melbourne is Calder Park and we as a group now believe it is time for the government to recognise and support us. If the Victorian government is really focused on finding a solution to our ever increasing Victorian road toll, Illegal street drags and general on road misbehaviour then I’m sure you will agree that it is time to take a look into this option. One thing we must also consider is the fact that we as Victorian motorists pay our fair share of vehicle related taxes but receive little support and much criticism from the media and general population. Unfortunately much like anything it’s a case of a few bad drivers giving the general import population a bad name and this is something as a member of a responsible car club would like to see changed. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and we look forward to your consideration of this matter and bringing it before your fellow parliamentary members for discussion. Yours Sincerely, Adam Nightingale Secretary – Skylines Australia Victoria
  4. Yeah I was thinking about this not long ago!
  5. Fact is it's a cheap GTR and the rule is you get what you pay for, I wouldn't expect much for 29k although I must agree the seats, gear shift, hand brake and wheel all look in very good condition.
  6. Hi guys, time for an update. Dave is curently in Queensland at them moment as far as I know. I managed to get in contact with him via his dad's work which I once received an e-mail from. I do have his mobile number now but it's been off of course so I've had it. I've just sent this e-mail to him and CC'd a copy to his dad also at the work address. Just for your information I have nothing to do with dAVE what so ever, I just want my money or gear so PLEASE don't hassel me!! E-mail was as follows - Hi, I've been sending you SMS messages and been trying to call you for a week now with no answer. If I don't receive a response soon I'm going to take matters further. You have quite a bit of out money, I'd estimate at least $500+ and we haven't received anything and it's now getting beyond a joke. You have a responsibility when you take a customers money to provide the services they pay for and so far we have seen nothing which is quite disappointing to be honest. So far there has been no correspondence what so ever, I would expect you to at least check your thread and respond to questions not just ignore us. I shouldn't be the one chasing you! As I said earlier this is your last chance to sort this matter out before I take it further and I would prefer if we would resolve this now as I'm sure you would so I have included a list of your customers who are missing parts. For your info my mobile number is XXXX XXX XXX. I look forward to hearing from you. [/color] 2BNVS is still missing the following nismo fuel filler cap nismo radiator cap nismo oil filler cap I am missing nismo keyring nismo lighter nismo catolouge SHY33 is missing Nismo blank key SWC945 is missing Nismo clear front indicators Nismo 34 blank key Nismo key ring Full Metal is missing Nismo blank key mmmgtir is missing Nismo blank key Ferni is missing Blank R33 GTR key
  7. Hey??? Are you sure about that. Seems a little odd since that isn't the case with the R34 GTT.
  8. Personal opionions don't count. Bottom line is if you like them then do it mate. IMO I think they can look awsome on the right car but if it's a couple of 6 inch neons under a banged up 32 or 33 then thats just plain poxy.
  9. Well the look diff again here and here again
  10. VERY hard to tell in pic, mine looked very dif in pics. The siver looks similar in pictures to the picture you have of the wheel by it's self.
  11. No one has second hand rims because when they arn't on the car they are being slammed by their owners Chrome rims are BAD no matter what car, well maybe except VIP's.
  12. Yeah that right $1050 a rim so $4200 a set but thats in 18" x 9.5 mind you but I wouldn't imagine that the 17's would be much cheaper. I do like the silver rip off's though, might make a nice track day rims. Do I feel a group buy coming on?
  13. Yup, was at Ice on Sat. Nige sat there with the Power FC controller and pluged away for around 15 mins, car runs like a dream now and over 200kw at the wheels. You don't so much need the software to tune them more the know how. Heard all about your nitemares IanH and sounds like it was a major pain in the arse! Must be hard with little resource available to you over there huh?
  14. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurn Them Alllllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. R34's are no harder to tune than any other Power FC. One thing that I have found out though is that the R34 runs higher compression which correct me if I'm wrong might make it more prone to knock?
  16. All forward facing lights must be white, all rear must be red (minus the reverse lights and indicators). Under car neons are NOT illigal in victoria but I agree if you do get an asshole cop he'd probbaly try and defect you. That info was straight from a cops snout too.
  17. Look at it this why, your about to spend around 30k. Get a top to bottom check from a respected testing center because it could cost you a lot more in the long run!
  18. Car looks sweet! BURN THE LM RIP OFFS!
  19. Just tried to call then and phone is off. Will try again this arvo.
