  3. Ah sweet, they'll be fine. Thanks for the help Emre.
  4. OK found 4 Bridgestone RE540's. Anyone know much about them? I'm sure they will be fine for 1 track day.
  5. I had a 2 sets of Semi's for my 17" rims at Stucky's but they have been sold. I've tried all the usual's for second hand semi's with no luck, anyone got any ideas?
  6. Good question. I'm going to ring this arvo as I've no response via SMS. Will let you guys know.
  7. No mate, read the past few pages.....
  8. Mate I've got nothign to do with this buy, I just want my gear. I let him know so I guess it's up to him.
  9. Jesus, first time I checked this thread. You will be a busy boy!
  10. The last was a little quiet as we were missing quite a few of the committee but going to make sure this is a little more entertaining. Got a couple of small videos from track days etc, Leewahs chat, SAU Vic stickers to be handed out and the gereral run down on how things are progressing.
  11. Lol, Well I've just organised the lanyards with another company so it's all systems go. Also Leewah will be having a quick chat to us on the night about his car and his drag racing etc. Should be good!
  12. I'm in IT but I drive a GTT, does that make it a CHODE car? What ever the fu(k that means?
  13. Ahhhhh yeah. Gold diggers
  14. Hehe technically I did
  15. Sounds cool, might check it out if I can make it in time! I'll see you at second point if I do
  16. I agree with Sydney kid, just get a remote start alarm. I start my car about 2-3 mins before I take off and sweet!
  17. Hehe, nah. Looks like most of the people have received thier parts as I've only had 2 PM's plus my stuff.
  18. Oh and one more thing, ever seen what a car looks like after a 70km crash? 64km and hour crash test, now imagine a pole to the side!
  19. Yes and no I mean I wasn't running a big turbo or high boost but your spot on the mark with tyres, they are the number 1 factor in my opinion. Problem is wide tyres look awesome on a car but becuase there is a larger surface area touching the ground the weight of the car is distributed over a greater area therfore reducing the overall pressure generated by that weight. In simple terms wide tyres = more wheel spin in wet.
  20. Hey, just wanted to wait a little while so everyone had a chance to send me the info before I forward it to dAVE. I'll send it now and if I need to send more later.
  21. No not at all mate. The SAU Vic stickers are all done and looking mighty sexy if I do say so. The lanyards are a differnt story, the manufactures have been giving us the royal stuff around so we've had to can the order and place it with another company. We placed the order originaly to have them for the membership meet but nothing ever seems to go to plan so appologies for all you SAV members but they WILL be coming
  22. Mate there is no such thing as a "predictable car". I just spent close to $2500 on suspension and my cars is more leathal then ever. It's a tail happy whale.
  23. Both are valid point but one thing you have to remember is that it's a LOT easier to pick a Skyline than it is a V8 becuase they could be either a 6 or an 8, you'd have to hear it where as the cops see a P on a Skyline and their eye's light up. Also another major difference between V8's and Turbos is the power curve, in the wet a V8 puts power down from go so you'd need to regulate the thottle just to get moving but in a turbo you put the foot down and don't find out about it untill you spool up and generally thats too late.
  24. Nah it's a road car but I'll vouch for him and say he's actualy a pretty responsible driver and from memory has been driving high powerd cars under instruction for a while now.
  25. Good point! I'd better fix that, yes it's Tuesday 19th! Ooops!
