Had the car checked on the Dyno on the weekend, turns out was running far to lean at high boostRPM. Looks like my fuel pump had had it I need a Bosch 975. Best price so far is $280. With it running a little richer is now making 190kw but boost curve drops at high end. Need to fit a HKS EVC to fix that. With a new controller should be around 200kw. Will post a dyno sheet.

No it's not ok, It must be changed. Try and do it before compliance so you can keep it as I did. Also your headlight assembly will be replaced if it's being done at Mobility. I wouldn't recomend driving it back, best to have the car looked over first plus you have no insurance.

Yeah I drove Bass's car on Sat and it's fuc(ken loud. Not so much outright niose but very droney. I also have a Fujitsubo but it's not a power getter and it's very quiet. Awesome system.

Hey all. I hate to do this but looks like I'm not gonna be able to make it. Have had pretty bad problems with knock over the last week since my tune and turns out my fuel pump is having some major issues at high RPM so looks like I'm gonna have to give it a miss. Wont be able to replace the pump in time so I'd rather not starve my engine of fuel as I'm sure you can understand.

What type are you using? Have any pics? Where did you get it from and how much?

I had my car tuned 2 weeks ago and the boost taken up to 10psi. I was told that was about the max to be safe.

My car wasn't complianced or registerd remember? Thats why no mods I dunno where James is these days. He got me Pregnant and fled without even a goodbye, oh the pain.

Yeah I spoke about more boost but they said the the turbo starts to drop off at the top end as you can see in the power curve. I'll be down on Saturday so I'll see what they say.

Abo Bob - I know this may sound strange but after I put the cooler in I took it for a quick spin and it seemed to come onto boost with a lot more of a punch. I mean it wasn't boosting harder but just seemed to come on with more of a surge and there was a little bit more noise. It's hard to tell what difference it made as I had the Power FC, FrontDump pipe and Bleed valve installed at once so it's now running 10psi after a dyno tune. The power is pretty good and the delivery is awesome but I still want more. I don't really know how much more I can do without looking at a turbo upgrade though. Dyno Sheet - Have a look how restictive the stock dump pipe is! - You can see round the flange how small the pipe joining into it is. Around 2" would be my guess compared to the 3" I have on now.

The cooler kit cost me $1500 delivered. Although it's a bit more expensive than the equivelent HKS item in my eyes after seeing the quality of the ARC cooler it was money VERY well spent. The ARC cooler is not as big as the HKS Type S in size but it's power rating is more than enough for me. I'd be max 250kw. Speak to dAVE in the Vic section for more details on them.

Decided to dig this old thread up just to say thanks for all the help! I decided on an ARC cooler kit, Installed it myself and I must say it's a really sweet design. Very small amount of cutting to be done and pipe work is very neat as the pics show!

Oh I need a helmet to, where could I find one?
