It's a sad fact that a large portion of the people who drive Skylines these days are yes, not all, just a larger portion than there used to be and I stand by what I said. One of the main reasons I sold my R34 and bought a classic is many Skyline drives are just plain stupid and I'd rather not be associated with them. That and I was sick of getting reamed by the TMU. It's not a personal attack on yourself or the decent portion of owners - just a portion of younger hero wanna-be's that think that Melbourne streets represent a scene straight from Fast and Furious. As for those of you who say “go and buy a family car” you are SIMPLE MINDED. What you are missing is the point that it SHOULDN’T be like this. How can you not understand that the current import scene is targeted not only because of illegal mods but because of idiotic behaviour on public roads in these types of cars? Why do you think some imports are targeted less that others? Becuase they are lesser known for poor behaviour. Skylines are cheap and fast – not such a perfect mix for less mature minded drivers and here lays the problem – if you don’t agree then you need to take a good long hard look in the mirror.

That's a bullshit comment. I should be able to drive a GTR and not be a target for cops. Car is fast/powerful > driver's drive car fast and use power irresponsibly > type of car gains reputation > type of car is openly targeted by police.... Starion - What Ash says/think are his own views but personaly no one has ever said this doesn't happen and I'd never for a second think it does not but when this sort of stuff is shown on TV then all of the sudden it's a different story. If your videos were shown on ACA I'd ban every one of them too. Mate, I'd ban every member untill there was just me if I had to rather than be associsate with idiots like them. Personally I think most people miss the whole banning point. If I were president I would have the member banned, lucky for most I'm not huh. If there is no repercussion then I'm very, very disappointed... You know, the member could just be shown being there and I'd still have them banned. A lot of time and effort was put into setting up a reasonably respectable car club. Yes members are not angels, yes people love speed and love to give it a squirt but seeing it on prime time TV is a different story. The more you see this the more you associate that sticker and what it represents with idiots. You can't stop members from doing stupid things, you're correct. The only course of action is to simply ban them from being an SAU Vic member full stop - whether or not they care we won’t know but at least we're seen not to condone that sort of activity.
