thnx dnb. oh well, i guess i wont be getting a skyline after all . well it depends on how u would look at it. im not in the game for fraud etc. basically i want to drive a skyline without having to pay high premiums and be covered for theft and vandal at the same time, if u get what i mean. soo basically my intentions was to get a deal similar to 3rd party fire and theft, except with a higher payout value and cover vandal. exactly like full comprehensive without the "at fault" repair cover. kk. now i need to look for something else. *sigh* ermm honda integras(2001) looks great. but i dunno how fast it goes. if i were to compare the integra to a NA skyline. how would it compare ? similar ?

yeh i know. but they'll only pay about 5000 dollars in market value minus the excess fee when u lodge the claim. sooo really im gettin bak 4200 ? well if my skyline costed 7000, yeh fair enuff i wouldnt worry. but since the car is well over 20g, its not worth the loss.

ohh eriktufa, i did that with just car. but somehow it turn out more expensive .

awww, lucky melbourne ppl. ill tell u guy what justcar quoted me. 19yo(turning 20 next yr) 30%ncb full comp: non turbo skyline r34 = $2860, turbo skyline r34= $3380 location: NSW as u can see, this is kinda hard for me to pay. i wouldnt mind if it was 2100. but 2860 is too much for my liking.

yeh he is and if the car is stolen or vandalised it'll be covered. i dont care if i crash the car, coz i can save up and pay for the damages. the only reason im gonna have 3rd party is to cover the other party incase i do t-bone them etc.

i was wondering if any1 here does double insurance ? k lemmi explain myself. im only 20, insurance for ANY import performance car will be heaps. since theres no other way around insurance cost, i was wondering if double insurance is the way to go. what im planning to do is, insure my turbo skyline r34 under my dad's name for 1500 a yr and find 3rd party insurance for myself which is around 600-700 dollars. total cost per yr would be 1500+600= $2100. k, if i was to insure it under my name(full comp) price is around $3300(30%ncb). i'd figured this is a good way to insure myself with the knowledge that my car is safe if it was stolen/vandalised. after 2yrs or soo when my insurance drops, i'll insure it all under my name. do u guys reckon this is good or bad ?

well i spend 1hr yesterday looking for a good sydney based import dealer on the skyline forum. soo far i rounded up 2, which are powerplay and northshore prestige. yep im gonna avoid the dodge parramatta rd dealers as i've read nothing but shonkyness. well anywayz, i just have 1 simple question. when powerplay or Northshore source skylines from jap on ya behalf. do they do everything like pay for ya car etc ? provided i pay them the money when they request it. when i say pay them, i mean paying their company and not the jap dealer etc. coz originally i was gonna use an import broke like j-spec or PM. but since my parents are payin for some of the cost, they didnt want to pay some jap person that they have never seen. cut the story short, they are basically scared of gettin scammed and not getting the car. soo my only alternative left is to buy it in Aus. kk, any1 know any other good import dealers that i can look at. also, please tell me if the above company are good. pm me if ya want. thnx ohh finally, what are my chances on purchasing a yellow R34 turbo skyline ? is this colour rare ?

so everytime you are at the traffic light(red) do u need to put the clutch in ? lol sorry about this, hehe. i find it rather exciting to be learning manual techniques.

if the whole body is gonna get sanded down(to bare metal), i would assume the colour change to cost around the same. yeh my mums car got keyed like 1yr ago. wasnt a nice sight.

is the clutch spring actioned ? or do u need to fully depress it and make it click before it'll pop bak up ?

cool thnx. im planning to learn manual in feb sooo i can drive my skyline home when i purchase it. hrmmm, when u say stalling the car, how often do u do it when u start learning ? ohh also isnt it just clutch in, change the gears and clutch out ? this may sound stupid but how do u actually stall the car ? ppl tell me if u dont use the clutch properly it'll just stall, is it really like that ? if sooo wouldnt it be dangerous if u suddenly stalled when turning rite ?

lol yeh, the sideskirt and rear bar are factory nismo bodykit. i love the rear nismo bumper. hrrrm ya know the front grille, can u actually remove that ? or is it fixed to the frontbar ?

hrmm from factory, im not really sure coz ive only seen one style. then again your front bar has an extra lip fitted on. sooo it could be covering the black skyline rubber. imo stock r34 bumper looks crap, nismo style is waaaay better. i dunno if its just me, but i find the r34 pretty weird looking without sideskirts. like its missing something. there was a pics (full catalogue) of the factory nismo bodykit floating around the forum somewhere. but i dunno where it is.

hrmmm im not sure if the front bar is factory nismo kit coz its lacking the black skyline rubber in the middle, could be a replica. dunno really, i could be 100% wrong.
