  8. hi fellas, my car was spluttering really bad , so i cleaned my afm with contact cleaner. the spluttering improved but is still there after 5000 revs. does this mean the problem is definetely the afm or should i have it tested. as i live in the country i do not know where to send it or where to buy a new one etc. etc please help as i do not want to drive around and wreck my engine.
  9. also my leads and plugs are supposed to be doublr platinum and should last for over 100 000km's
  10. it runs a little rough on idle and splutters when accelerating hard. how do you check the airflow meter and or clean it.
  11. i went for a drive today and after about 3 minutes my r33 started to run sick, it is spluttering heaps and won't run smooth. so i went home and left the car, disconnected the battery and left it for 3 hours . my brother came over so i decided to show him the problem. everything seemed ok. he said maybe my fuel was low and picking up dirt. the fuel was low but not below empty. so we went to the shop to put some fuel in . on the way everything was fine. when we left the shop the problem started again. my thoughts are. 1. fmic piping loose and air leaking 2. timing belt 3. spark plugs 4.there actually is dirt in the fuel line 5. some type of air/ vacuum line leaking. if anyone can give me their thoughts it would be much appreciated. Thanks
  12. i just replaced my o2 sensor in my r33 series 1 gst-t. i got an el falcon sensor from repco. the part number was rox207 i think. however it only cost $50 and the results were good . i went from 350km's a tank to 500km's a tank. please note this was my first tank of gas and it was mainly highway driving, but i still think there was a vast improvement. one tip i have is instead of trying to join the wires you should just buy a three wire plug and totally cut out the old plug. just make sure you take note of the wires.
  13. mine r33 has a heavy duty clutch and has squeaked for 12 months . i simply thought it was a plain old squeak, but maybe it is not. however nothing has gone wrong yet. lets hope it doesn't.
  14. recently my passenger power mirror stopped working, well the actual mirror still works but it won't detract into the car. could this be a motor of some kind, the drivers side is fine. what would this cost to fix . help would be appreciated.thanks
