Um oh k - well it had no work done to it when i bought it! Ya see it has been dyno tuned however not re-tuned i.e. re-mapped - cause apparently theres no-body out there that tunes NICCS ECU's! Ive checked it out myself. Ive done everything myself - i know that the car should be producing alot more power & that is why im looking for an aftermarket compter. Yeh the ECU has prob shit itself cause i think the NICCS stock produces around 140 kw at the fly whereas i have 150 at the wheels. My mechanic says he can get the Autronic installed for $1500 including dyno time - is that a good price?? A bloke on another post said that u can get a Power FC for $1100 plus dyno time = about $1900. But $1500 sounds alot better. Yeh i have however that was before i got the front mount cooler, boosted it up and a few other bits and peices! If you can get your hands on the old HPI article - that would be fantastic! I actually rang around a few places b 4 i opted to go for the motec or autronic - to see if they can re-map the NICCS ecu's - and i had no luck. So it looks like that my only choice.

I just got the car dyno tuned on Friday and the car produced 150rwkw - however i have a problem with the standard ECU, its running really rich. My mechanic (NT Performance) fixed the problem to the best he could however its loosing a lot of power up top (still goes hard though) - he said that with standard ECU working properly would get around the 170rwkw. With the aftermarket computer (motech), ford ED throttle body & fuel regulator - we should get 200rwkw no problem. Thats a nice figure for the NICCS engine - which i would be content with. Oh and changing the head to an RB20 (ECCS) would be something that i would think about!

Um yeh - if i havent found any by then ill be sure to purchase yours?? Can you please send me a pic of the headlights - if you dont mind?? and what headlights are you upgrading too??

Does anyone know where i could purchase a pair of R31 GTS-R head lights (yanno the ones with the two circle lights) they look mad? I have been looking for a strut brace to fit my R31 - and no one seems to have any in stock or coming from japan, etc - i have tried ringing certain interstate companies, been on the japanese auctions,etc but have failed. I am looking for a GTS-R strut brace however one that fits and is very sturdy/strong is fine. Do strut braces from other skyline fit?? If you can please help????? It would be much appreciated!

um well 2.5inch mandral bent exhaust from manifold, 3inch dumpi pipe, high flow cat, 3.5inch stainless steel muffler, 400hp bosh fuel pump, T03 high flow turbo, type 3 bov, huge hybrid front mount cooler with 3inch piping, massive K & N cold air intake filter (300mm), 15psi boost, R32 gerabox, clutch, flywheel, LSD - um i guess thats about it as far as the mods to the engine goes - put it this way the car goes very nicely - but there is always room for improvement.

Thanks for the reply - just a quick question - which chip would you recomend if you know of any - and who would you recomend to get the job done right?

As my engine is a RB20DET NICS - will the R32 computer be able to be installed into my car without any hassels, i.e. is it compatable, can i install it to my car?

Thanks for the reply - Tell me whether this is true or not - my mechanic tells me that the computer in my car RB20DET NICS (red rocket cover) isnt tunable - i.e. you can not remap it or tweak it up>??

Thanks for the reply, I have the RB20DET NICS (red rocket cover) motor in the car (motor has only done 118,000 km) - the car produces 150rwkw. I was wanting to get the car up to 200rwkw by doing a few bits and peices like; computer, throttle body, etc

I have an R31 GTS-X turbo import and was wanting to install an aftermarket computer. The car has an RB20T engine with mods. Which would be the best for my car?

Actually it depends what year the skyline was built - i.e. early model (89-90) were cable driven later model (91-92) were electronic.
