My understanding is that it is virtually impossible to tune RX7 Series 5 injectors with an RB20DET ECU.

I need help re: injectors for my RB25DE head + RB25DE loom + RB20DET ECU. I am thinking R32 GTR 440cc injectors might be suitable? Will they drop into the same fuel rail? Will I need a resistor pack?

Boost Killing Engines? Pressure Or Volume Of Air?

Hi guys Read alot of stuff about X PSI killing engines, and turbos running more efficiently at Y PSI. Firstly - engines. I wouldve thought the volume of flow of the air throughout the engine, and not the PSI reading (merely a measure of restriction?) wouldve been the critical factor here? ie. removing the exhaust from the engine, whilst reducing the PSI reading, isnt suddenly going to reduce the stresses placed on the engine, right? Secondly, turbo efficiency. Surely its the speed at which the turbo is spinning, and thus the volume of air it is pushing out which is indicative of its efficency, not the level of restriction? Also, why does everyone measure their PSI reading, instead of say CFM? Since PSI is entirely relative to the engine, and the restriction in the engine, why isnt the yardstick CFM? Thanks Mark -

Thoughts on the XR6 internally wastegated 3540? 1.06 housing is huge, but how much would you be looking at to throw a .82 housing on it?

Its definately someone old or retired. I have the same problem with my neighbour nextdoor in relation to me playing my "bass music too loud". This is during the middle of the day on weekdays - not late at night or early in the morning! He is about 55, but retired about 15 years ago. He has a daughter my age (19), and a son who is 16. He frequently complains that my music is so loud that it is contributing to his depression, hair loss, insomnia, etc. and has practically cried on the phone and at the door. The guy is an absolute nutcase. He even left printouts from some wackjob university in America run by fundie-Christians about how repetitive bassy music (I listen to hardstyle / hard trance / hardcore) is hypnotic, and causes antisocial behaviour I play my music with my window shut, and the way the crow flies the fence between our property and theirs is about 20M away, and their house about 30M. Its not even that loud .. its being played through $85 Logitech X530s for christ-sake Moral of the story: these sort of people have nothing better to do so they stir shit with neighbours to liven up their otherwise boring existence.

Thats what Im after, and why Im considering the .63 GT30R. After some emailing, Ive been put in contact with an American guy selling: ~$1524 AUD for the GT30R, and ~$1591 for the GT3540R. Thoughts on peformance of a GT30R with .63 exhaust housing as compared to a GT3540R with .82 exhaust housing on a stock RB25DE head, on a stock RB30E (8.3:1 comp)? How quickly it would be on boost in terms of driving on the street, and peak power figures on the dyno? I'm seeing guys like Sky30 with his GT3540 making over 300RWKW with a relatively stock engine with the GT3540, but what would it be spooling up like in first, second, and third gears as compared to 4th on the dyno ... ?

I'm sorting out putting my RB25 gearbox in my R31 in preparation for the RB30DET that is being built. Looking at ~250RWKW. Unsure what sort of clutch to look at - want something practical, but am on a tight budget. -

So youve got an R32 RB25DE head in an R33? What loom and ECU are you using? I am in the process of getting an RB25DE loom and RB20DET ECU to be reprogrammed. I am unsure what injectors to use!?
