  5. I believe the Japspecs aren't ADR approved, whereas, the Ausspecs are. That's never really stopped people in the car modifying scene though has it? lol
  6. I'm also looking at getting a set to replace my Zeals. Driving down Parramatta Road is punishment. Anyone else had experience with them? Any one in Sydney with them willing to take me for a ride?
  7. Got any pics of how it say on the 180sx? PM a mobile number? Might be interested in checking it out on the weekend.
  8. ...and you've got more room to play with
  9. Surely a sign of inexperience. If he can't even drive in a straight line then I wouldn't want to imagine him on the track Mr Plow!
  10. Last month's EOMM - http://forum.jdmstyletuning.com/showthread...light=eomm+july
  11. Mee'z beez dere!
  12. I can. I don't know how useful it is for the track, but for the street I like em on the softest setting (1), I can definitely feel the difference on the firmer settings.
  13. Wow, I live right in the heart of all these crimes. Lucky my car's been all right! *knock wood*
  14. Gary, Thanks for the calculations! I've decided to go with your recommended street spring rates and ordered a set of King Spring coils 4kg/3.5kg to replace my current Zeal springs which I believe are 6kg/5kg according to their catalogue. Going to install them today. Hoping the ride is much more streetable afterwards. Cheers, Andrew
  15. Muz - do you know what spring rates they ended up providing you?
  16. URAS, you wouldn't happen to be able to recommend spring specs for 4F 3.5R kg/mm rateswould you? i.e If I have a coilover currently using a 64mm spring ID, would I be able to use a 61mm spring ID on it?
  17. I think I've got it now. I used a unit converter to convert mm to inches. Looks like I've got a 8F 7R kg/mm spring rate.
  18. With your calculator and the following measurements I have an end result of 46037.96138. Wire ID: 11mm Coil ID: 64mm Coils: 7 .
  19. I've tried calculating it using them but I'm not too sure what measurements they're suppose to be entered as. I assumed in inches (") and tested a few of the measurements in SKs' thread but can't manage to get the same rates as him so I'm not sure if I'm doing it right?
  20. Hi Gary, A few 'on the car' measurements I managed to get. I find them a bit too harsh for Sydney streets. Front: Coil ID = 64 mm Wire OD = 11 mm # of Coils = 7 turns Coil length = 180mm Spring rate = Rear: Coil ID = 64 mm Wire OD = 11 mm # of Coils = 8 turns Coil length = 200mm Spring rate = Rear springs:
  21. Does this look like a 65ID spring? What places would you recommend in Sydney to source springs? I'm around the Fairfield area.
  22. Guys, I've got coilovers on my 180sx which I find sometimes a bit too harsh for Sydney streets. Would it be possible for me to swap out the current springs for springs with softer spring rates? Thanks, Andrew
  23. www.gccorp.com.au Or you can buy sikaflex and do it yourself. I had a solid rear engine mount for my old N15 turbo converted pulsar. FWD + turbo = axle tramping. Solid engine mount helped reduce it as well made the gearshifts smooth and direct.

  25. Just drove passed on the way home from work. Looked like they had a flatbed truck out infront and were moving around cars. Probably moving the cars off to somewhere safer till they get security figured out - incase they decide to hit again? I live pretty close to Bel, last night around midnight I heard a car reving doing a burnout down my road. This didn't sound like a 'normal' done up car or anything.. sounded like a beast of a car.. maybe it was one of the vehicles.
