  3. Thankyou for such a comprehensive answer... i don't wan't much more power in my daily driver i am happy with the 200kw my car is making with the standard turbo. but will need to rebuild turbo at some stage. i was just a little shocked at the price of a rebuild of the original with gt30 spec. internals from yours and others recommendations i have found a price for a HKS GT-RS with full mounting kit to be the same price as a rebuild I know which way i'll be going now Ps: The list of mods & Dyno results is very helpful too Cheers again
  4. I'm sure this topic has been done before, but i'm having trouble finding the info i need i'm sure this is a common thing to do..so if anyone can offer so advise please I have an R33 with the usual mods incl, FMIC, Wolf 3D, 3" turbo back exhaust, pod, etc. I was looking to upgarde my standard turbo with steel wheel etc. to have relyable boost keeping it in the standard mounting position to save on modifications I rang a couple of places and was quoted between $1800-$2300 to upgarde internals (gt30 hybrid) on standard turbo and $600 - $1000 for mounting (depending if the manifold needs to be removed) plus tuning So it looks like costing around $3000 to upgrade using my standard turbo, which seems quite expensive & without upgrading my injectors & fuel pump..i'll be looking @ around 230 rw/kw @ it is already making 200 rw/kw @ which is quiet adiquite for me. does this sound about right? How have others upgarded their turbos & how much does it cost? where is a good place to get it done? Would i be better off buying an aftermarket turbo? will an aftermarket fit in original spot without modifying my intercooler & exhaust piping?
  5. I interested in yr car i live in adelaide, i currently have an R33 and was looking at updating to R34 It looks great...PM me
  6. If you flash your lights @ people the will think they have gone through a speed camera a simple nod or couple of fingers off the wheel, no need to wave like a nob most of the time cars have gone before i think bout it tho
  7. Looking for set of R33 Type M original rear pods in good cond. (factory black would be great)
  8. I've been looking @ getting my air conditioning regassed, the car is s1 r33 gtst the air cond. currently works, just takes a little longer than it should to get cold. I've heard that it may just need a top up? or regas which apparently should be done every two years?? They also recommend changing the filter too. I don't know whats involved, but if it already works, i was told to allow $250 for regas This sounds over the top?? Has anyone has a basic regas and would be able to advise on price and maybe recommend a place in Adelaide to get this done.... Cheers
  9. Possibly dry solder or poor conection on afm???
  10. Also Japanese suspension is designed for billiard table smooth roads, unfortunately we don't have them here in Ozland.
  11. The standard suspension in R33 is reasonably comfortable, if you have sports suspension like tien the ride can be quiet rough. Firm Suspension = excellent handling = rought ride Soft Suspension = average handling = more comfortable ride Maybe consider Pedders sports/comfort inserts using original strut tops they should offer a reasonable ride and will firm up when pushing around corners. most tien etc. has metal strut tops, the original r33's tops are rubber and offer a little more give and less noise. Hope this helps
  12. I need to wire up an airflow meter for my s1 r33 gtst. There is four wires & one blanked out one The coulours are orange/blue black/white (power) blue & white black blanked out If anyone could let me know the order they go in looking from the back of the plug & starting from the filter working back Any help appriciated (photo would be fantastic) Thanks guys
