1997 Series 3 R33 GTR V-Spec located in Sydney. When bought 6 months ago was told this colour red was fairly rare. Car has had the following work done :- A) CES dump pipes and high flow cat B) Apexi exhaust (actually quieter than the standard system) C) Tomei gaskets replaced on plenum and all throttle bodies D) New water pump E) New cam belt F) New pulley belts G) New heavy duty clutch Some of the above work was done just to get the car up to scratch 57,000 kms - original Standard GTR wheels - tyres are 50% + worn Tinted windows Quicktrak (new battery and system check) New battery 4 weeks ago CD staker Until 3 weeks ago the boost restrictor was still in place. I need to know the distance from the back of the rim to the centre where it bolts to the hub , reason i need to know this is for the right offset to fit under the guard. I have an R33 GTR - Jeff

Does not look like it's had a big hit , it has had some paint work done on the front but not that much. What makes you think if the chassis has had a big hit it's no good ?

Hi all , when freeway driving my 1997 R33 GTR there is a high frequency vibration that vibrates the rear view mirror (bloody annoying) I know it's not wheel balance because at no time is there any steering wheel vibration or vibration through the seat (indicating rear wheels out of balance) I suspect the tailshaft . Anyone had similar problem ? thanks

1997 R33 GTR V-Spec - When the engine is cold and temp setting at 18c cool air comes out the dash vents. When the engine is warm or hot and temp setting unchanged it blows warm air out the dash vents (warmer than outside temp) If a/c is turned on for say 30 secs then off it seems to help but still is not same temp as outside. Anyone got any idea's ?

All i know is that it's a darker red than a fire engine truck , i am relieved to hear it has not been completely re-painted - thanks

My R33 is cherry red and the paint in the engine bay is a different shade to that on the car, in the boot area (spare wheel) it's the same colour as under the bonnet . Everywhere else it's the same colour as the exterior . Does this mean it's been re-painted ?? thanks

Yes , your right it is only clipped in . By turning the nut it should come out

I had a set of similar wheels a few years ago , the big nut was as you described. The wheels came with a large plastic spanner to remove the nut. It was only for show. If you don't have the spannertry wrapping a screwdriver in some cloth then try to pry the nut off.

ECU says "Nissan genuine remanufactured electronic control unit" I have been told on this website that mine has been replaced at some point due to warranty repair or it has been chipped by nismo japan pty ltd . If this is the case then i do not have the ability to check the various sensors attached to the ECU ??? It won't idle at less than 1100 rpm I have just changed the plugs and it seems to be running smoother thanks

Hi all , only had the GTR for about 2 weeks and when it's cold it idles roughly at about 1100rpm until it warms up. There was a posting on checking the UCE which i printed and then tried to run through but it looks like it does not cover my model. Strangely my ECU says "Nissan genuine remanufactured electronic control unit" Anyone got some ideas on what to look for, i thought maybe it is sucking air at the intake manifold . thanks
