  1. P.s. As for the fuel consumption... i get 400km MAX outa a tank. :S Pretty gay.
  2. Either way tho dude, think of what ya still gotta get fixed and if that much has happened already what else could come. Jus sounds like one of them cars that no matter what ya do or what ya spend ya gunna keep getting things with it. Dunno, but to me with the things that have gone wrong with it, it seems like its been driven hard overseas... ya probs didn't want to hear that but yeah... :S. Sorry dude.
  3. Sorry dude, no camera, but if its for a 33 it wont fit... box is too tall for a 33, i tried it in mine but bout 10cm too tall, its made to lie down, it is a perfect fit for a 180 and looks unreal in one we tried it in my mates, would fit a silvia or sedan style boot.
  4. Just took her out ... more like Its looks sweet, no resin touched the body at all and the plastic liner peeled off without stickin aswell I had an idea aswell, i'm covering the outside of the patition with heat reflective material, the stuff u find on sun shields for front windscreens etc. This should block alot of the heat out and soak up whatever tries to get in as they are good for around 55-60 degrees which is similar temps seen around the engine bay. Its just finishin off drying now should be ready by the morning i reckon, hopefully have it fully fitted tomorrow somtime.
  5. Dude thats buggered... fix whatever ya can to get it back to sorta normal then get rid of it. Ya much better off in a less costly car that lasts forever than a car that costs heaps to buy and costs even more to keep... with all the money you've had to fork out on fixing it, it coulda be fairly decently modded. I reckonz to get rid of it n look for another one, cos they are a lot cheaper nowdays. Best bet is to import one yaself, get hold of an importer (a good one) get friendly with them and then get them to help you purchase a car off an auction and let them import it for u. Thats what i did, and i havn't had one problem at all with my car and i got it for far less than what it would have sold for in the yard ($8,000 less!!).
  6. Hey guys, Just fibreglassed her up before She's dryin now, i'll post tonight when its dry and i take it out to inspect... Hopefully no resin touched anythin :S Fingers crossed... cos its lookin real good at the moment.
  7. Sorry dude, its new lol aint swapin yet.
  8. I had the first into the country but due to awkward reasons i had to sell it... i nearly cried :'( Ahh wells, i got another coming soon for sure. I ended up landing it here for aroun $560 i think it was from memory, but the killer is in install and tuneing costs, its about $120 to get fitted professionally and then about $165 an hour form a good tuner (Hypertech) and they want 2 hours on the dyno... so for that kinda money ya can pick upa second hand Power FC for aroun $1200 with hand controller and anyone cna fit that jus neds tuning which works out the same as a S-AFC so its a better option i think. As for someone asking bout the Power FC Pro, it is more of a track based unit. It comes with speed limit cut, boost controller, hand controller, and th eunit hasmore features than the normal one, such as being able to set a launch limit at whatever RPM u want, so u can sit on the spot foot flat ot teh floor and it will sit on the desired rev spot u set (i.e. 3 grand) then as soon as u start moving the limit is released for prceis consistant take off's etc.
  9. Yerps, should go alright... when its done i'll try and post pics for ya all, and like i said if i have the time i'll possible make a few so if anyone will be interested let me know...
  10. Doxximus: I dun mind doin it dude All for the fun of it guess... And i dun min dhelpin others with things i have found to be tricky. Going to start constructing a frame/skeleton for the fibreglass probably this week depending on time, but it looks like i'll be fine. I am using a rather large K&N high power Pod filter so its porbably the largest pod filter availabe therefore will be good for everyone else because they wil obviosuly have a smaller pod which means they will hopfully all fit? I'll design it as universal as possible for all filters. And as i said it will be moulded well intospace there and will be able to be pained in any color i.e. Vehicle color etc as itis fibreglass.
  11. Hey dude, Problem with the HKS SSQ BOV is they tend not to be very loud on low boost, turn it up however and they absolutely scream. I'm running stock at 6-7psi and its loudish, but when i turn onto 10-11 it starts to really get loud , and anythin above that it is fuI
  12. Hey guys, I have a bascially brand new 12" Response subwoofer in a cusotm built, tuned and ported box. It has only ever been used once for about half a day as a demo and never used since. I am asking $280 for it as it cost alot more to have the box alone made so i think its a VERY reasonable price for the two together. It sounds awesome, we had it running off a monoblock amp and it put out etremely clean and big bass due to the box size and design. If in melbourne can organise to view it. Thnx, J.
  13. Silver-Arrowz: Hence why Shaun blew it all not long after lol Anyways, probs ya best bet dude is to defiantely get a computer, and boost controller, but make sur eya go an electronic boost controller. If ya need anythin let me know, i can get Power FC Pro's with hand controllers s/h but near new, for around the $1600 mark which is a far cry from there real price and includes the Trust speed limit cut, and the boost controller and hand controller. Fitted and tuned will cost you around the $2100 mark... then grab yaself some BOV's, h/d clutch and a fornt pipe to finished off the exhaust. That should give you what u are after EASILY. L8ters J.
  14. Hey peoples, I've found that even tho the help from these good peoples with all their designs is an excellent source of information (thank you all) but the problem lies when people use different brand air filters that they don't all fit i.e. Me LOL Anyway, i will be designing one for my R33 GTSt very shortly and making a mould of it and then constructing it from fibreglass to make it light, visible and mainyl to test its resistance to heat as i cna't see it soaking as much as alluminium. The best part will be i can make it perfectly moulded to the bodywork for a very neat finish. Anyway, once its done i will post pics on here and will probably be selling them if they work well and comply with a lot of commonly used airfilters i.e. HKS, K&N etc. So if anyone is interested i will be doing them cheap jus cos i want to see a lot of confused people happy with a good product After all who'd pay over 100 bucks for a brand name partition?? Not me lol. So they will be very well priced, basically not much mroe than materials. But i'll let you know once the product has been developed. Thnx J.
  15. Hey peoples, As u are all probably aware MCCR are holding a cruise this friday for the good friday appeal to help donate to the kiddies. It is a great cause and MCCR do a great job to support these sorts of events. I thought it would be a good idea if we had a pre-meet before hand to catch up, meet a few new faces, check rides etc. As usual i will be using the normal meet point we use being Officeworks top carpark at Eastland, in Ringwood. It would be good if we could all meet up, n then cruise on down as a group representing the forum to the first meet point. Its gunna be a great cruise, with a great cause so i hope to see you all there. If ya free on friday make ya way down, and its also a good chance for those who can't cruise to be able to meet up anyway. Hope to see you ALL there!! :: Details :: Officeworks Top carpark Ringwood, meet 7.15-7.20pm, leave for open meet at 7.55-8pm. Take care peoples, l8ters. J. [ SuRReaL ]
  16. The sat navagation will only work here if you have it programed to read australian positioning... could cost heaps to convert as you will probably have to speak to someone say like VDO or similar compnay who makes a sat. nav. system for there cd-rom to try n use it with your unit and hopefully make it compatible to work here.
  17. Sorry dude, i just sold a nice sub amp yesterday . Ahh wells, sorry dude.
  18. its not retanuglar dude its like a tall trapezium but its about 520mm in height, widest depth is 350mm and is about 920mm in length. Unfortunately i dun have any pictures sorry.
  19. Hey guys, I have another sub for sale, its a 12" this time, again its a Response sub, it is dual voice coil/dual magnet, in a custom built and tuned ported box. It was built as a demo sub and used once as a demo then has sat in my room for the passed 10 months unused. The box looks VERY neat, and both as i said are basically basically brand new and un-used. I am asking $300 for the sub in box, ready to go. It is a large box for one 12" sub however is specifically tuned to be that size for BIG bass. On the sound test the sub outdone a freinds 2*12" Infinity Kappa subs, so it gives u an idea of the sorta bass this can put out. Thnx guys, J.
  20. sorry peoples sold the sub today!! I still have a 12" dual voice coil, dual magnet subwoofer in a custom tuned box also, however will not fit an R33 it has never really bean used either, as it was built as a demo thing not for use, however when it was being demo'd it sounded awesome as it is a fully tuned box, it looks awesome also. Am asking $300 for sub in box.
  21. Ever looked at something like a T04R or T51R from HKS? Big power, not as much lag as a T66. The T04R kit is a medium-large HKS single turbo capable of 730+rwhp (Dynojet / 860 flywheel horsepower) on high boost. The JUN s15 has one and pushes out big power, so if it works well on SR20's, it should work just as well on an RB TO4R specs T04R Turbine wheel dimensions are 74.2mm/64.7mm T04R compressor A/R is .70 Available T04R turbine A/R's are .81, .84, .96 and 1.15 HKS turbo inducer / exducer sizes HKS T04R 66.7mm/84mm HKS T51R KAI 70.3mm/94mm HKS T51R SPL 76.5mm/102.2mm
  22. Hey guys, Got a Response sub and amp for sale, can have the box its in for nothing, i bought the sub and amp less than a month ago so its basically brand new, cost me $900 to fit it in my boot. Basically i spent nearly 3 grand on a competition amp and 3 subs so i need to get rid of this cos i have no use for it now. Like i said basically brand new, i am gettin rid of them together for $450. Or can sell seperate for $230 each. I need to get rid of it ASAP!! to help the funding of my new custom boot being done. Can be seen and heard if in the Melbourne area i'm happy to meet up for anyone interested, it puts out BIG bass, moves heaps`a air and sounds awesome!! Value for money after buying my new stuff i still reckon its the best around. e-m@il me at [email protected] or contact me on 0402 488 879 for any details n stuff i can help ya with.
  23. My mate bought his and had it fitted for $750... good copy as well, well made, well fitted, not cheap crappy material either. If ya need a hand let me know i can organise to get one sent to ya.
  24. Hey guys, Thinking of getting my DVD player for the TV mounted on the roof near the little lights and rear view mirror. However just wondering if anyone has ever removed the roof lining, and if so is it hard to get back on? Is there any sort of cross members on the roof that i could screw into with short self-taper screws to hold the mount up there? Any help would be much appreciated. Thnx J.
  25. Dude i have a 15" sub in my boot and believe me it is an absolute b2tch to get it in and out... i have a 100 odd ltr box for mine ported... basically it is a rectangle shape fiting from back to front and with about 30cm on each side of the box for room... i suggest as someone said up a bit, to make a small box without a top that will fit very snug into the wheel well... then build another box of around 45ltr's and join the top of the box in the well to the bottom of this box... then for the top where the sub will be mount make the piece the exact shape of the whole boot so when you put it in the wood touches the edges of the boot all around it, then screw this to the box in the car. It might work out easier if u cut this top sheet into halfs before you put it in otherwise it wont go in... this is how i will be doing my custom boot before showoff, cos this way you have a completely flat boot with sub in the middle and plenty of room for amp's etc... i am going to be installing another 15 and another amp so i'll let ya knpow how it all fits, if it does lol. PS. make sure you put carpet or carboard under the box and ensure all plastic surrounds of the boot are stuck in well cos R33's have shocking boot rattle, especially the rear bar.
