  1. "OBHAVE isn't the fastest GTSt in Australia. Brett Whitbread ownz the fastest GTSt 9.464, its almost 1 second faster then the second fastest Skyline driven by Ryan Quinn 10.35" When did he run this time? and is it a street car? If anyone went to autosalon you would have seen OBHAVE with a biggass red sticker on window saying fastest GTSt in australia. It is still a fully registered street car on street tyres. I heard my info from the builder of Unichip who had the opportunity with computer professionals to rip apart each of the most popular computers around at the moment to check out what was in them. I believe him cos i seen all the shit about it. And yes i was refering to the older one cos thats what they tested, and thats what a lot of guys are still running.
  2. I know dude, this guy my mate knows owns this car OBHAVE is hte fastest GTSt in aus runs a 10.2 and he runs a WOlf, but not the point... i was jus saying they don't tune to the same degree others can for the same price. But your call, hope it all turns out well Sounds good anyhow. Good luck dude.
  3. Thats cool dude i aint doubtin ghis knowledge just saying from experience as i kno a few guys who have put large turbos on their cars and like everything has had ups and downs. 20G turbine is definately huge tho Ahh well the bigger the better ey As for wastegate sound i know it'll be loud without the screamer cos i am running a HKS actuator and its friggen loud on my garret T03/4 so an external on yous is gunna be loud, if anyone has ever heard the rotories with them big turbos on it you'll know what i mean As you said with a computer and fuel system upgrade you will pick up heaps. I am waiting for my Bosch 044 to come in and a Power FC then injectors aswell. But just a tip... dunno if i can change your mind and what you heard but had a few really good inside tips on computers and found out Wolf's even the V4 have very poor tuning capabilities, in fact not far off that off an SAFC-II as far as fuel is concerned and the increments you can adjust at. Apparently microtech and all the others are the same as i know the Wolf in particular was designed more for rotories to start with of which they have a far less sophisticated fuel system having only 2 injectors usually. The best to go for if you can afford are for the Power FC cos its so easy to plug, play and tune... or an autronic which has been rated as a baby Motec. Up to you tho, PM me if you want details heaps to go into but too late and too tired lol And info is from a very very realiable source, mates dad owns Unichip and they tested all the units themselves
  4. Dude guna be an iffy one i think, mean ass turbo don't get me wrong but probs a bit to big an exhaust housing for it. All the gtst's running super quick times at the moment tend to use a machined T3 exhaust housing with a bigger T3 steel wheel. The rotories tend to have a larger exhast housing as they flow a low more gasess. So could have the problem of major wheel spin and very quick redline when boost actually comes in, which aint good becuase you can't stretch the speed out of each gear. Great top end tho P.s. DON NOT CONNECT THE WASTGATE TO YOUR EXHAUST!! nothing sweeter than hearin a wastegate open next to ya coming form a ripped ass skyline Putin one on mine real soon
  5. Hey all, As title says its a dec 95 model Black manual, has done 83,000km's (imported with 73.500km's!! Basically driven to and from work only, bout 35km's a day) I am the first owner in aus. I have spent a lot of money on it since i got my liscence in feb, basically all mod's except for the air filter were put on by me since then. Oil changes every 3,000km's with Penzoil Race Synthetic with Penazene addative. Mods include: -17*8" Gradu racing rims -Custom ATP T03/4 turbo -Custom AVO bar and plate front mounted intercooler with polished mandrel bent alloy piping, no welded joins (cooler polished aswell) and Hose Techniques blue silicon joins -3" dump pipe off turbo to cat into a genuine 3" Fujitsubo LegalisR exhaust -K&N M's high power air filter -HKS turbo timer -AUtometer ultra-lite pro comp gauges -Custom alloy catch can all polished with braided fittings -Razo race gear knob and Razo race pedals -Custom dash switch panel covered in pearl white vinyl. -Odyssey dry cell battery -Nismo belt pads on all belts, and Nismo hand brake pad -Pioneer head unit, front splits, 6*9's running off 600wAmp, boot wired ready for big sub set up, previously had a huge system in it, and have left all brand new cabling ready for new subs/amps. Also has false floor fitted with all panels and wheel well filled with dacron to kill dead sound and improve sound quality. Just took some new photos, show its real beuty Also thought i'd add i have had the timing belt and all axilery belts changed, front urethane castor rod bushes and a new o2 sensor fitted so she is absolutely puuuuuuuuuurring!!. Also now has 12 months of reg to... so can't complain at all peoples!! http://www.angelfire.com/co3/thegrub1/inde...dexskypics.html If interested, and can meet in Melbourne to view.
  6. First run with new stuff... series 5 rx-7 twin turbo... bout 3 cars top of second
  7. Dude hunting is not caused by the idle control being out... it will be because of the following: Exhaust leak, pressure leak (i.e. coole rpiping, turbo outlet flange etc.), or the o2 sensor or TPS sensors are gone. I suggest ya check them out Sil8ty... i had the same problem and found it was because my o2 sensor was routed... got a lot better fuel economy as well cos i aint runnin so rich, and i actually get a good reading from my air/fuel gauge now
  8. There is so many possiblities with this shit that can go wrong, particularly harming other people, but also yaself. Car could fail at high speed, an animal could run out, a car could pull out whatever it may be its silly and like everyone is saying if you do get caught we are the one's who cop it all back. I know cos my r33 is my first car and i only turned 18 and got my liscence in Feb and for a few weeks i got hastled. Its a load of crap... if anyone got to see the report on channel 7 regarding the drag's in dandynong and what have you , every one would have realised all teh cars on their that were caught and so on where actually all commodores and beten shit heaps, yet they single out us import owners as the instigaters of it all... the reason being as we set the visual scene for what people expect us to do, NOT what we actually do. Its the 'race' appearance of our cars that singles us out. Yes you'll get ya idiots in ya skylines and 200sx's etc but i know a hell of a lot more commodores that do some freaken rediculous things on the road and never get caught, and never get single out as 350kw supercharged 'missiles' that they can be also... I am jus sick of hearing all this crap that we start it all... i jus have one thing to say, i kno whow i drive and i know its sensible, i have never been caught or fined for anything and will keep it that way, but let me say if someone is the cause of an accident to myself or a close friend/family member due to their careless actions... i'll have the last laugh. Some people don't deserve the privelage of driving. P.s. Having big power aswell does not mean you have to drive it to its limits either Trust me.
  9. How much for the wastegate?
  10. If you don't mind me asking how much did it cost to have it running? I still see overdue stress on internals tho when ya add that to say 325-320kw at the fly without it... i would def need internals i think... good for around a low 11 tho i reckon LOL
  11. i was refering to the piping dude... you gotta think about what it does with the heat but shielding the piping, it holds it in, add's stress to localised parts due to excess heat internally, however drops underbonnet temps and mor eimportantly intake temp around filter... personal decision really, if you have a good sealed box around your filter you wont need it, but good thought tho.
  12. Definately check cooler piping and cooler itself i think you'll find a bit of oil sitting in the bottom of the cooler. As for the seal get it done preofessionally, not good to play round with unless you know what ya doing. WIll more than likely be your exhast seal, very common on boosted stock R33 turbos.
  13. Two sides to that as heat wrapping it will keep the hot air in the turbo resultin gin higher intake temp adn requiring better intercooler cooling, but it also shields the filter further from heat... take ya pick.
  14. Sounds like you done a turbo seal dude, fairly common i'm afraid, often goes un noticed tho. I was going to say if you have a bigger turbo on it that'd be why cos of the design of some bigger turbos they sound like they are ticking but is acutally the exhaust sound resonating through the bigger blades, but only on some turbos. But def check you seal, could also be the reason why you are losing oil if it has damaged the bearing case and thrust bearing you could be using oil, check the inside of your cooler piping to see if its oily cos then you'll know you got oil in your turbo.
  15. Iknow what i'm getting ha ha thnx Rev210
  16. hey dude, have ya had any problems with running the NOS? Like do the injectors get iffy? hows the stock ECU handle it?
  17. Man go to adelaide ha ha ha ha ha ha man just get it sent over, not hard dude... express post is easy dude... i got my boost controller to a guy in tassy for 6 bucks in a day.
  18. P.s. Freight will be about 100 bucks i'd say from adelaide cos of the weight factor... i reckon Peter should goes halve's in shipping ?
  19. Pretty much dude... only cos i had it for about the last three years... i like to think i had one of the first if not the first 'YB' plates...?
  20. Not true dude they have a higher pressure drop than a tube and fin core however will get a lower temperature to the inlet manifold. Ya gotta weigh it up... less cooling but good low pressure drop = largest tube and fin core you can fit on your car without to mugh restriction of radiator etc. Lowest temperature possible but with a slightly higher pressure drop on a smaller size core = bar and plate cooler. You have to work out what you are after as to what you fit to your set up. I run a custom AVO bar and plate race core, measures 600*250*90 which is more than enough for around 650hp, and is a damn good cooler... cast tanks etc. The hybrid cooler is a very good upgrade over the stock cooler value for money comapred to more serious coolers from large companies for those who will want the extra bit out of it and who are willing to pay for it. But i have seen heaps of Hyrbid cores on heaps of cars and they seem to do very well.
  21. 'my mate said those r great stuff' ha ha your a pissa dave... let me just say anyone disagree with saying Cusco is some of the phatest stuff round??
  22. U tosser ha ha I'll get me another HKS again i think... maybe GReddy Type R... one of the two anyway
