Hey peoples, Put new Enkei rims on my car yesterday that will be sold with the car, but i also have the rims i had on there i have taken off just gotta move them, so they are up for sale. They are a mad looking rim, tey are 17*8, and i have spacers for front nad back if wanted to push the track out. The rims have only done about 6,000km's so they are near new but came with the car when i bought it i had them put on by my importer when i pciked it up. I am only asking $900 for them with tread (bout 80%) just to mvoe them!! They are a multistud 5 stud pattern so good for skylines, 200's, etc. Check the mout here: http://www.angelfire.com/co3/thegrub1/indexYBSLO4.html

Yep deifnately easy to show by wear of interior. Mine shocked me when i first saw it as hte back seats had litterally never been sat in as the car was owned by a signle dude in japan my importer knew and was the reason he bought it off him and imported for me cos he knew he looked after it. The dash, gearboot etc are all perfect. I guess i was lucky but it pays to take ya time. And just cos thye are all fairly cheap now doesn't mena they are stuffed, as japan has no option but to offload them and the cheaper they are the more they move. Quiet smart actually cos it plays a big part in the aftermarket parts scene as people can afford to buy the car with leftovers to mod whereas in aus trying to buy a stock rexy form say 96/7 is still around double th eprice of most imported cars that are popular :-/
-
Yeah its dodgy as i swear... the thing is it isn't us who wind them back, they do it before the auctions in japan to reach higher prices from overseas buyers who don't see the cars. It happens a lot and i urge people liek you do to buy on condition not km's, cos you find out very quick if its done the km's or not anyway trust me.
-
Hey peoples, Been thinking bout it for a while now, and just wondered how many people have actually realised how many imports have had hte km's wound back on them. It becomes obvious when you have a fair few mates who all have R33's like me i kno 5 of us not including me, and i have the newest being a 95, yet i have the most km's at 81,000 and also paid the most for the car itself out of us. A mate i kno has a early 93 model with like 55,000km's and he denies any possibility at the fact it has definately been wound back. He, like all of them are experience problems like cam belts worn, and suspension getting lose and squeaky etc. stuff you expect to see at 100K+ and so on and they stillw ont admit it has been turned back. Yet mw with the msot km's on a car which i hand picked for this specific reason from japan on the auctions, and have had no problems at all... it just shows that when it comes to imports be careful when you go for lower km's cos it usually means not good. Its an easy seller to wind the km's back as it adds value instantly, and also danger. But it just gets me cut at how many you can so obviously tell have been wound back yet sold at prices for one's with those genuine km's and people believe it... i guess it helps to know what signs to look for when buying, but alot of people are being fooled!!

I am in croydon, near ringwood and eastland shopping center if that helps. -
Hey peoples, I have decided i am going to sell my baby. Take to long to write all the specs here, so you can see the specs and some older pics here: http://www.angelfire.com/co3/thegrub1/indexYBSLO4.html I will be posting new pics in the next day or two so anyone interested PM me and i'll send them to you. As you can see by the mod's the car is fairly well decked out. I have had the car since it landed here, and have only done about 6,000km's since its been here from last august. It has done 81,000km's genuine. Car has only been on the road since feb however which was when i got my liscence All mod's except for air filter where done by me since then and has cost me a packet to do, so whoever buys is winning big time!! Expected power tuned wiht computer is expected at 230-240rwkw, so she moves!! Basically i am only selling to move up to probs and R34 or brand spanker rexy, but still deciding. As far as the car goes its immaculate, the interior looks as tho its never been sat in. It was a grade 4.5 import. I am bein generous and only asking $22,500 firm for the car... let me just say the money i have spent on mod's in the last four months has been rediculous so its an awesome buy. So check it out and PM me!!

Um, a few hurdles so far... just trying to get them to talk is enuff lol As you can imagine. I'm not too sure how things cam be enforced safely and rightly? It is a hard thing to sit down and figure out as their is manys sides to it. Things such as drink driving, and deliberately endangering people like driving pissed and smashing cars deliberately would see me get them in shit, cos it will all fall back on me in the end, so its in my interests that i see this is patroled as it would on public roads. I will not tolerate drink driving and there will be a way of controlling that pretty much by breath testing all drivers upon entry for safety reasons, which i don't think the Police would dissagree at all. As far as defecting goes i will not go ahead with it if i fin dout they are polanning to jsut bust our asses despite the good intentions involved. That is one of the main reasons i wanted to organise this is to stop the crap they pull when legal events are held, its just silly and gives themselves a bad view fromour point of view and creates alot of disslike among owners. I just want it to be fun, yet safe, and not have all the strings attached, i.e. beeing afraid to get canaried, feeling like you will be put in jail for having fun etc. But mos tof all it must be planned properly to ensure SAFETY cos thats what we are trying to do by taking this off the road anyway eh? -
Yeah peoples you will laugh when i say this but i actually had the first SAFC-II into the country but sold it a week or so later when a copper told me to take it out before i had even had it wired up :-/ tightasses... thats why i am asking cos i want to know what i am missing out on without it. As for Unichip i don't know how you guys can say they are crap... obviously you havn't had much experience witht hem or read much about them. The reason you may have heard a few little things about them is because in R33's there was 3 differenet ECU's used from 93-98 and some are harder to tune than others, particullarly the ignition timing on one model not sure which. I spoke to Peter Luxon (friends dad who owns Unichip/APS) and he knows the thing back the front as he made it, and he knows his stuff, and he has tested all of the computers in the country and all hsi results have done over all the other computers bar Motec/Autronic. As for Wolfd 3D, Microtech etc. they are very very ordinary computers when it comes down to the technical side of their function and tuneability. After speaking to him, and let me tell you he did not at any time push me towards a Unichip, just gave me facts and proof, and that was enough to convince me that they are a damn good unit. Hence the praise from champion race car driver Jim Richards, as used in all his Porcshe race cars and GTP cars. If Unichip's were a crap unit they wouldn't be pulling the figures they are achieving on their demo cars. Recently they jsut landed the first Evolution 8 into the country from America to begin building their performance upgrade kit, and in one day after fitting an exhaust and Unichip they jumped up 40rwkw... not bad if ya ask me, wait till they add a bigger cooler, boost etc. But i dunno, i just can't see why i'd spend $750 for an AFC when for litterally 50-100 bucks more (mate's rates ) i can have a Unichip which has much more tuning ability than an AFC and covers ignition timing etc??

yeah have it all... all in perfect condition. -
Could also be after the drivers side window mechanism.

Shotgun the passenger sun visor if in good nick, the front left swaybar link if not damaged... um... maybe the a-pillar also. You have PM.
-
Yeah i realise that the SAFC has a fraction of the capabilities of the Power FC and the uses for it, but i was just wanting to know why so many guys are using SAFC's when they cost aroun 900 fitted, when you can pick up a near new second hand Power FC with controller for like 1100???? SO i guess i'll just go with my Unichip as i can ge it cheap But i am still considerng power FC but jsut can't see the extra money if i can get a Unichip so much cheaper than retail. I guess i don't really want to hang onto the car much longer anywho so not much point i guess, just want to see about 230rwkw then i'll sell it to get a 34 or MY01 rexy
-
Dude oyu can have it but i havn't really looked after it lol it was only really a trial thing to see how it'd go and performance difference... a few things came out good from it, like back section needed to be higher to seal with bonnet better, front a fraction to high so needs to be shaved a bit, but the only thing it wa smakde for my air filter so it probs wont fit on yours unless you have the exact filter, as i make it to hug the filter after the AFM not before.

Well the best i can do is try... no one else has yet so i'm gunna be the first, they will probably shrug and tell me to get fu*k$D but i'll say the same back cos i don't see them trying to help... all's they are keen on is makin so more money so the government can spend it again or so they can buy some new Vipers, or Porches like they just did. -
Well so far i chucke don a K&N M's air filter, 3" from turbo all way out no resonators, FMIC, T03/4 turbo, gonna boost it to 14psi when fuel pump and pressure reg goes in, and getting HKS adjustable cam gears soon, but with that and a unichip i been told 230-240 is achieveable... so is it safe to say i could get about at least 220-230 with an SAFC-II?

Hey peoples, It seems of late that the more technology advances and the more things become refined, results therefore with new parts are getting better and better. This brings me to the new electronics, in particullar piggy back computers. It seems A`Pexi dominate the electronic market of the jap performance car scene and rightly so as they products are very good. What i am keen to know is that basically i am in need of some sort of air/fuel control unit to tune up n get more outa my mod's. I was keen on a Unichip as my mates dad owns teh company so i could hook up one through him... but it seems alot of guys are running SAFC's on similar mod's to what i have so i was interested to see what the highest power figure someone has achieved on an R33 with an SAFC or similar control unit (i.e. E-manage). Cos i have been told a definate 25rwkw increase from the Unichip is possible with my mod's which should see on 15psi about 230-240rwkw which is my goal. Would an SAFC support this power?

Modded R33 GTST to equal Stock R32 GTR
YBSLO4 replied to Spada33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Okay think of it this way... how fun is modding a car from scratch at 14.3 rated from the factory and then achieving a high 12 after having the car on the road for about 4 months... you get to see your car turn from nothing into something, you get to have fun, and its almost affordable for most with a GTSt... with a GTR its hard enough to afford the thing let alone mod it... thats the only reason i love the GTSt's, so much potential for an affordable price. Yes i am a huge GTR fan and if i had the chance i would jump for an R33/34 GTR for sure, but for now and for my first car i don't mind my 33 GTSt... its starten to boot n i'm hanging to run a GTR jus to dissapoint one -
the fibreglass one?

Gotta a proposal all lol... This thread has been going for ages now, and since its started i've jumped to a big turbo, FMIC etc so i have changed a lot of my set up, and have to still build me a new cold air box as my older one no longer fits so its sitting in the corner catchign dust lol Um, basically i work with aluminium fabrication and polishing, so i have built much of my stuff, i.e. catch can, coil pack cover, intercooler piping (thnx to the largest mandrel bender in aus in my factory ) and so on, so i am going to make a simple yet very effective and sexc looking cold air box... basically if i can get enough of you wanting them i will make a handful of them for a small cost so you guys can get some good stuff, cos i know you are all looking for something. Basically it will be a box extending from just under the guard lip on the right covering all the filter and cooler piping, and drop straight to the floor next to cooler piping and will be all polsiehd and look fancy etc aswell as serving its purpose. Everyone who is interested please PM me and tell me, as i have to do these in my free time at work (lunch time, friday arvo's) so i don't want to be wasting time. It will probably work out around $80 each plus shipping? Sound good? Polished alloy, ready to fit... Let me kno, i'll do mine in the next few days n post pics then you can see.
