  1. It was from a dealer, the car had 2,300km's on it, silver 98 GTR Vspec II???? My dad nearly bought it last year, $71,000
  2. there is a Vspec II GTR in the R33 i been in one The genuine sticker for the Vspe II is the same style sticker as the GTS25T on the R33's.
  3. 16V 10 is RB20 turbo, 45 V4 is RB25 turbo. I got both
  4. I aren't running a computer now with my big turbo, cooler, exhaust blah blah and it still runs pretty damn well considering, however am expected to pick up around 25rwkw from computer they reckon, so on about 15psi tuned they said i can look at around 235-240rwkw which aint too bad But yes they do need a computer to run well, without one they jsut eat fuel and run very rich. Not good on the wallet believe me ha ha.
  5. Yeah know all that, thnx tho dude, just wondering if there is any little tricks, cos i know heaps of stuff needs to come off to actually get to it in the frist place.
  6. Dunno dude postage probs about 15-20 bucks i guess but at lesat you get it the next day thats all. Doesn't weigh jack all so i presum the max will be 15 bucks i'd say. I can send it normal if you want but its up to you how quick you want it.
  7. Hey poeoples, just wondering if anyone has changed their cam belt and auxilery belts themselves? If so is it a difficult process or just time consuming and fiddly but not hard? Cos i need to do mine and aint happy to be spending like 400 to have them fitted... I have fitted all my stuff myself, i.e. cooler and piping, turbo etc. so i aint blind to how to put a car together just looks rather tricky down in front of the RB compared to other engines.

    idle

This is normal to idle at around 1500rpm when cold then to drop around 650-800 is okay anything higher should be checked... They all do this, they are meant to. Its programmed in them to warm the engine and get the oil flowing better on startup cos of the turbo, rather than having to wait for the car to warm itself over a longer time thsi helps it get things rolling.
  9. Um it is the same as this... http://us1.webpublications.com.au/static/i...002402002hi.jpg Note the retail on these is $249... so awesome buy peoples. Jus wanna get rid of it to make way for computer. If you are willing to deposit the cash into my account then i'll ship it express post the next day. Up to you tho i jus prefer to deal that way i always do. That way we both get stuff asap.
  10. Skylines have been found by a lot of people to make better, more 'useable' power on around 10-12psi. Note 'useable'... No point running more boost if it aint doing much or downgrading performance and reliability. The fact of the matter is if you are going to boost, you need to mod and free up the airflow so that it is actually worth boosting in the first place. You'll find obviously that if you run a stock skyline on say 12psi, then have another with a cooler, exhaust, filter and tuned on 8 psi it will run a heap better and harder than the 12psi stocky. Boost does not just = power.
  11. HA ha you serious...?? Would cost extra to do dude as there is a bit of work in doing that, and organising shipping which would be at your cost also.
  12. Hey peoples, Just recently swapped a T03/4 turbo on my R33 so i have my stock turbo for sale. It is in great condition and has the fornt dump pipe to go with it aswell. Asking $480. Can deliver if in melbourne.
  13. can see it on my website at: http://www.angelfire.com/co3/thegrub1/indexYBSLO4.html
  14. Hey peoples, Just thought i'd see if anyone is interested in my car? Thinking bout an R34... hopefully. My car is a black december 95 M-spec GTSt from the last batch of 30 ever produced as series I. It is a manual and has 82,000km's, has only done 7,000km's in aus since i imported it. It has: -!7" Gradu rims on lowered springs -Custom ATP T3/4 Hybrid turbo -Custom AVO bar nad plate fornt mount intercooler (all polished alloy piping) -3" dump pipe into 3" Fujitsubo LeagalisR exhust system -HKS turbo timer -K&N M's high power filter -Turbosmart Type 3 supersonic BOV -Turbosmart single stage gated boost controller -Autometer boost and air/fuel gauges in chroms cups on A pillar -Razo gear know and race pedals -Custom in dash switch panels covered in pearl white vinyl -Pioneer Head unit, pioneer comp splits and comp 6*9's off 600w amp -Full alarm and immobiliser *All mods except for air filter where put on by me in the last 5 months and has cost me a packet. As you can see it has some good stuff on it and really boogies, unfortunately i havn't had it on the dyno yet, so i can't post power figures, but it is expected once tuned with a computer i will mos tlikely be puting on it around the 230-240rwkw mark on about 15psi. So it is definately not one to blink at. The car is in excellent condition, the interior is basically show room, and exterior not far behind. As i said it has only been on the road for around 4 months as i only got my liscence in february. But i dunno just always loved the R34 lights so i might go for it. I am looking at around the $23,000 mark for mine, let me know if anyone would possibly be interested.
  15. Yeah public liability is always an issue with any event of any sort. Basically i am wanting to achieve some sort of sponsorship for this to get the community and everyone involved, cos we all know it aint going to stop by itself, drags will continue to run, but if we can prevent their dangerous nature from being on the road then i think its worth it? However with the policing issue i would have strict guidelines for the police as to how and why i am going about the event, and that would be that no cars in the area will be defected or fined as it is off public road, however if they drive off the premises the same back onto public roads then thats a different story as it is back under their full control. Like all of you, i would not go myself if i knew they were going to play all happy with the idea then turn around and defect my car :-/ We all have to put in tho and we need the best ideas we can as to how we can start this properly, too many people say they will do it but there is just not enough action, and i want everyone to be involved to show that we aren't all as they think.
  16. Um not really in tune with any meetings and stuff relating to forums, if i could get some info that'd be great. If possible if we could organise a large enough group of people to attend i could possible try and get hold of a few high ranked traffic officers to attend the meet to see their view of it aswell and to discuss the likelyhood of it working? I've posted on a few forums so hopefully there will be enough people informed that if i hold an organised meeting of some sort that we could have a very serious discussion regarding this issue.
  17. Hey everyone, Recently i been working on the organisationg of something that could possibly save a lot of us import owners from a lot of grief. I like all other modified car owners are sick of being tagged as 'hoons' and 'rebels of the road' because of the other guys out there in similar cars whos poil it for us. As we all know illegal street drag meets have become big of late and attract a large number of people on a very regular basis australia wide. This is where my efforts begin. After speaking to a few officers and other ranked police, i have been given praise for the thought of taking an idea i have to the police board in order to work out a civil way that is fair for both us as drivers/pwners of these cars and the police themselves who are out there to keep the roads safe. I am looking to somewhow organise an official fortnightly event at a proper venue which is safe and away from public roads, with the assistance of the Victoria Poilce in which owners of high performance and modified vehicles, or even standard vehicles can come along and for a small fee (to cover venue costs) be able to do basically anything that isn't legal on the streets. Hopefully some sort of drag strip and an open area for burnouts etc. I want it to be more than just a place for 'hoons' to go, i want it to be seen as a lagitimate attempt to stop people missbehaving on the streets and do it in a safe area. I would also like the Police to have some part in the goings on, so that they can show that its not all bad to have some fun sometimes but jsut not on the roads, cos we all know coppers where young once too. What i am trying to do on here is inform everyone of what i am out achieve, and would like to think i could get the same support as i have seen as various illegal meets, and just think what it could potentially do for us... it will HOPEFULLY lessen the amount of people willing to risk accidents on the road and the reputation of all other owners, which has already been hit with a harsh blow. It seems to me that this is the biggest problem with all this illegal activity in the modified car scence at the moment, that really there is no where to go for this sorta stuff... yes you can go to Heathcotte or Calder and get ripped by a 9sec VL or a 10sec rotary, but what is the fun in that? The temptation on the road is knowing that if you own a skyline and a mate has a 180 that it will be close and that they are willing to risk it in a drag to see whos is better... and i like to see that competition, jsut not on the roads, so if i can bring that same friendly competition to a safe environment where all street cars are able to attend then i believe we can ALL make it successful and fun for everyone without being accused on front pages of newspapers and new headlines around the country. I am pleading for the support of all of those who are genuinely interested in this. I know if we can get a similar turnout to say an MCCR open cruise at an event like this (which i believe is very possible) then it will be hugely successful, and held on a frequent enough basis it will hopefully stop the illegal drags from occuring and will stop the publics damaging view on modified car owners. Regards, James.
  18. abroken stud wont cause an exhaust leak unless you have some seriously big exhaust flow. You gotta remember there is two studs for each outlet so there is a small chance of it being able to leak as there is still one bolt holding that onlet in place, as well as the strength through the other 10 bolts on the othre 5 exhaust outlets. I have a broken stud on mine it broke last week when fitting my turbo and is the reason why after i took that one off (luckily was first bolt closest to radiator) that i changed plans and removed the turbo without taking off the manifold. Be careful with them, they come out easy but once you bolt them back in they are rediculous, they snap before you even get an load on the bolt. Definately replace them if you ever take them out.
  19. Hey peoples, I have a Turbosmart single stage gated in cabin boost controller with missile switch, it is basically new, only been used on my car for a couple of months but basically never use it so gunna get rid of it to make way for the new computer which has a bosot controller built into it. I am asking $125 for it in box. Melb peoples only please.
  20. They would have been right dude. If you have broken one off, which means you have the bolt stuck in the thread of the block, then it has to be drilled out and re-tapped. Tricky and time consuming hence costing money, and ya guaranteed to snap at least another getting them off. Ya gotta remember also to get the manifold off, you need to remove all the intake piping, the turbo, the manifold etc. then ya gotta take the block out... not a small job.
  21. I think i have it... i got it down to about 10-11psi, by pluging up the nipple on the compressor housing then running the wastegate up to the nipple on the cooler piping and then the bottom line of the two lines on the OEM bc connects to the intake pipe where the BOV return line meets with the intake pipe.
  22. Hey dude, Can ya fill me in on the HKS computer you have for sale... how old is it and what tunign capabilities does it have?
  23. Well i think i am going to just take out my turbosmart one... can someone please explain to me how a standard R32 turbo hooks up to the factory boost controller... as the turbo i have has a line off the compressor housing like and R32 aswell as the line on the wastegate actuator which normally i am told you connect to each other which is how i am running mine now with the boost controller t-pieced out of this, however with my stock R33 turbo there isn't a line off the compressor housing so the wastegate actuator so it hooks up different to the sotck boost controller as comapred to an R32.
  24. Sounds like i aint th eonly one who can't run below 13psi? I am also running a single stage gated boost controller with in cabin switch and have the same problem... I put my new turbo in the other day and chucked the boost controller in, and like someone said earlier my wastegate stays open for friggen ages... i don't get it... like i'm talken it flutters for about 10+ secs if i want it to... but my maine problem is i wnat to run less boost but not sure what to do, whether its the boost controller or the way we are running them? I am going to go disconnect the boost controller and see what happens i think...
