lol you guys can either get the spare remote key out or you can just pry off the cover the same way you take the stock one off, and your key hole is still there. its just a cover which goes over it to give it a more clean look.

use the blue masking like tape... it is designed for going onto paintwork and can be removed with ease, and without screwing up your paint. also it tears easily so it is easy to apply to corners etc. -
2003 350gt Coupe Starting Problem
BLISTC replied to T88turbo's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
hey mate yeh i had my battery disconnected for over 1 week when i installed the plenum spacer (long story lol) when i finished the install i reconnected the battery and i did an ecu reset straight away before i even started the car again the car started fine and i took it for a 20min test drive for the ecu to start learning again. i got home and parked the car. i had to move the car again after 5 min and when i started the car - stall. It kept doing this for about 1 week. Cold starts were always fine. Any start where the engine went into cold start mode (higher revs than normal) it didnt stall. When it was hot (example, went to petrol station to fill up, turn on car - stalled) the car stalled. To get around it stalling, every time i started the car i just blipped the throttle to make sure it didnt stall. I was doing this so, that like you i was going to go and get it checked out. However, after about 1 week, the problem went away. now i can start my car and its like back to normal again. Hope this helps. I use BP Ultimate 98 Octane all the time since i have had the car, and the previous owner did also. -
2003 350gt Coupe Starting Problem
BLISTC replied to T88turbo's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
T88 Turbo the EXACT thing happened to me as i said in my previous post. Just when it is hot start give it a rev, so the car doesnt stall. then after 1 week of driving this problem went away. i think the ecu relearned it. -

can also depend on the FACE of the wheel. some wheels have same offsets but different face styles. good example is rays wheels, have face A, B and C and only 1 of those face styles will clear the brembos. good to do research. every set of rims will differ.

take out your rear seat, pull the lever in the boot and then it just pops right off. very easy to get off. then just put a cover over your rear top part of the seat and then put the wheels in the back. alot of space back there!

hey guys thanks for the suggestions. on my trip today and total waste of time, i have found that for future reference: 1. as zei said, there is no engine fuel filter. only the sock strainer thing. however there is a filter in the tank which the fuel pump itself sits in, its a massive white one. i tried to buy one from repco, both X-Trail and Maxima ones did not match the V35 one. I went to Nissan and they said it only comes complete with a new fuel pump, which from them costs $1100. ouch! 2. the stock fuel pump is very easy to get to. under your rear seat on the drivers side. 3. my car is fine, and i got worried for nothing all because of a stupid dyno readout. 4. i saved money on buying a new fuel pump woo~! 5. my car made approx 8-9kw extra with the motordyne plenum spacer and the intake tube over a stock VQ35DE which is about a 12hp increase, which seems about right.

hey daniel thanks for the heads up thats good to know because i got the fuel pump checked out today and the fuel filter and it is all in pristine condition. its all working fine which is a relief. yeh considering your car is stock and mine isnt, and made a few extra kw with the mods installed it is about right. i heard people say the ISMR dyno was reading up to 20KW lower than what it used to read.

Hey guys i want to replace the fuel filter on my Fuel Pump. It looks like a little white sock / filter thing. Anyone have a part number for this item or know where i can get a replacement one? I know that nissan say that it is a non serviceable item, however, i want to be able to put a new one in for peace of mind when i install my new fuel pump Cheers -Mark

i dont know much about the auto transmission but i do know that you can put a different final drive in the manual to get quicker acceleration and apparently this makes a world of difference in the v35 and 350z

lol @ chris - man they were some heart wrenching moments. when i hear the bottom scraping on your driveway i was like *CRAP* it will be the same height but lower again soon if i decide to put the bodykit on. front lip, side skirts, rear diffuser.
