  1. yeh i went to a car wash once and i had my old anodised rims VOLK GTC and the chemical they used to clean the rims actually stripped the anodise off the rim! and it stained the rim! i had to get the whole damn thing taken apart (all 4 rims) and repolished
  2. i just use normal soap and water. you can use a rim cleaner just make sure its not too strong or can strip the paint / finish of the rims i finish of with some autoglym alloy wheel seal, so it stays cleaner for that little bit longer
  3. Hi guys i cant what i am after in the search..... so id ask here can we swap the bulbs of our stock HIDs for brighter / whiter HID lights? i ask because i recently fitted xenon white LED Clearance lights to the front of the car and they are much whiter / brighter than the standard HIDs and it looks a bit silly having a white light and a kinda dull white light. anyone know what brightness i would need for a xenon "white" light and where i can get one from if i can replace them? cheers -mark
  4. looks like that one is for an auto?
  5. one tip i have these days when looking for parts for the v35 i dont even tell them i have a v35 if the parts are the same for both cars i tell em i have a 350z lol
  6. hey mate i have TEIN Comfort Sport coilovers and they are lowered on their max i am on 19" rims the car looks so much better lowered. however due to the cars length, it can easily scrape under the car on high speed humps it usually scrapes on the underbody brace.
  7. nope not yet and mine is dragging on its arse right now. i cant drive it anywhere with large speed humps as it can get beached in the middle now.
  8. After reading alot about the different camber kits available for our cars, i ended up going with NAGISA AUTO suspension since they seemed to be the ones made to the best quality and jap made too the KINETIX brand in America do not import this brand as there have been alot of complaints and accidents in America from these rear camber arms cracking and causing the car to loose control on the freeway etc. at speed and crash. i have the nagisa auto rear camber, front camber and rear toe arms in the car right now and they all fit perfectly with no hassles. i got mine installed at Powerplay Imports
  9. awesome that place is 2 minutes from my place going to go check it out
  10. i know in america they also go the REV UP engine in their G35's dont know if the V35s copped the same treatment
  11. i have also read numerous threads, that, there is a TSB about he fuel gauges for V35 / G35 as they give out wrong readings and vary badly from whats actually in the tank...............
  12. thats good to know incase of an acco or other unfortunate incident u could get a copy of the original instead of forking out heaps for an aftermarket or original bar from overseas
  13. hey mate that is just your traction control / VDC kicking in. has happened to me a few times as well when my previous tyres were bald and in the wet
  14. yeh originally i wanted a 350z but i needed the practicality of more than 1 passenger seat. so the v35 was a no brainer.
  15. i dont know.... it just doesnt look anywhere near as agressive or appealing to me as the v35 it seems more like a 2 door family car..
  16. i dont like the look of the new v36
  17. spot light? which light are you talking about?
  18. if you were in syd i could do em for u in a few days
  19. only one way to prove it... might have to get the 20L fuel container out the one i use when i go on long drives or to the racetrack just drive around until it konks out lol i had just under 1/4 tank left on the needle tonight, and i filled up only took 51ltrs
  20. the "Yellow" on my headlights was all on the outside cover. so i didnt have to remove anything. i didnt sand the headlight. i just used the plastX and it cleaned it up good. it all depends on whats causing the problem i guess if your going to open ur headlights u might as well do some mods to it whilst u can and have it opened! like spraying the headlight surround, or putting in clear turn signal lenses instead of yellow ones... or better yet put some LEDS or CCFL Strip where the Clearance light is...... im going to get around to doing some mods soon...
  21. make sure u get some megures applicator pads or a pack of terry cloths also [should be two cloths in 1 pack] you work it in a circular motion let the polish do the work. do a section at a time. i applied a small amount directly onto the headlight and worked the area. then i got the other pad and wiped it clean off any residue. i also used some of that blue tape to mask off all the surrounding edges like the paint etc. before hand because i didnt know how it would react to the paint in case i accidentally got some on there. you will actually see all the yellow crap come off on the terry cloth! also when you run your finger over the headlight when its done it feels so smooooth -mark
  22. yeh guys, get the meguirs PLASTX if you guys were @ the BBQ, remember (VQ35DRIVER i think it was) his headlights, they were yellow as anything! i took some plastx and a terry cloth and cleaned a section and they came out clear. just need some elbow grease and some plastx
  23. every time the fuel light comes on and i fill up the max i get is like 55-60ltr i have 20ltr in the tank still doing nothing? whaaa? i thought they came with 80ltr tanks as i had read online, but, i never got to fill in the 70 ltr range ever so i doubted it
  24. sounds like a plan! whats parking like? just my car is pretty low now
