  1. If the younger guy could perform anywhere near his level, I might agree. But if Button is mediocre, Magnussen must be woeful
  2. Button isn't the designer or engineer... Alonso has had input to a string of messed up cars. Guess he's pretty mediocre too?
  3. the controversial thing is a rule actually got enforced at Superlap! Saw some coverage on Speedweek on Sunday including some nice on-the-limit driving from ssxRicho - good stuff
  4. keep using the $300 project MU nuts and just blow out the water after washing. Or go all out and spray a bit of WD40 in there...
  5. where they all Sebastians by any chance? oh wait, stupid question... lol
  6. might bring my Datto out for this if the costs are reasonable. Last DatNats up here was a bit ott. unless someone turns up and whinges till they change the format again...
  7. yeah, that's a good whine... lol
  8. I can see your perspective, but it isn't CAMS Production Sports Car racing, it's a class MGCCQ made to give near stock road cars a class to race in away from the stripped-out, caged-up race cars they were previously luimped in with. Cars are supposed to comply with QLD Transport rules and must have a cat. Minimal mods allowed in Prod Road Reg, basically exhaust, springs and shocks. Any more than that and it's in Modified Road Reg. At least that's the way they explained it to me before I entered. When I was getting close to the record I had officials checking if I had a pod filter or intercooler!
  9. nice videos - looked like you pulled up short of the nuts Had to lol a little when you turned the wheel well after it was all locked up though! hehe I've got to say I think you should be in the Modified Road Registered class rather than the Production Road Reg class. Car looks modified to me! Good to see more Jap turbo cars turning up out there
  10. not as big as the Soarer that holds the record for the class hehe
  11. yeah when you've pulled off a few backflips, minor stacks like this aren't worth remembering
  12. lol yeah he was great wheel to wheel with Massa in Canada... You mention hachet job at USA for JEV and in the next post praise Perez for his wheel to wheel racing??? He crashed into 2 people before even completing one f**king lap in USA!!! He also crashed into Button in Monaco. And impressively binned it into the wall at Hungary, at least there he didn't take anyone else out. Yeah, not ragged at all this year... lol This just proves people's impressions are more based on biases than what actually happened.
  13. maybe you should read the linked article. It goes into quite some depth about exactly how people can say he is good based on the stats and direct relative performances, rather than on biased opinions... Perez? deadset! Between him and your opinion of Grosjean, I'm glad you don't agree about JEV! lol
  14. Williams don't pay the kind of money the best F1 drivers want, so that's not going to happen. JEV has matched it (in racing and points) for 2 years with a bloke who's just whupped a 4x WDC and he comes cheap and he's got experience (as you put it "used goods" at the age of just 24 lol) - that's right up Williams alley. That's very much against the opinion of almost every F1 journo. But we know you don't like JEV.
  15. here's the whole article - it's a very interesting read. https://f1metrics.wordpress.com/2014/11/26/2014-model-based-driver-rankings/
  16. "Vergne is expected to join Williams as a reserve driver following Felipe Nasr's promotion to a race seat at Sauber next year." http://www.f1times.co.uk/news/display/09608 Good move I reckon. How much longer will Massa be around? and just for you I'll post this here as well
  17. underrated...
  18. can't tell anything from them idling around the pits. But if its louder on the track at full noise that just means wasted energy. But they only ran 5 'installation' laps over the two day test, so I guess nobody managed to catch video of them on track lol "Jean-Eric Vergne has ruled himself out of remaining in Formula One with Toro Rosso in 2015" http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2014/11/26/vergne-says-wont-drive-toro-rosso-2015/
  19. After finally getting the shitbox out of the garage in the afternoon missing all the morning running, they only managed 3 installation laps - ie out and straight back into the pits. That and Boullier's comments about it sound exactly like Renault last year. IMO They're not ready - don't expect it to be any good.
  20. Button single-handedly saved 4th place in the constructors for McLaren over Force India. Deserves the drive next year. Out-qualified and thoroughly out raced Magnussen again this weekend. Sure he costs more, but he also brings more in with WCC $$$. If he's not there, I hope McLaren get what they deserve and that Honduh engine turns out to be a real dud.
  21. Honduh engine will be used in this week's Abu Dhabi test... Mercedes will make it two in a row next year - no doubt at all. Hopefully Lewis goes back to his true self next year with the entourage of rappers, roscoe etc at races, and his previous M.O. of brain fade crashes.
  22. Red Bull caught cheating again. Nice way to bookend the season... http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2014/11/16673.html
  23. qualifying exclusive to Foxtel, races broadcast on both according to an article I saw yesterday. Doesn't really matter - just stream qualifying.
  24. are they going to give him a new suspension arm?
  25. but Bernie says the teams need to share thier bit of revenue out better so he and his mates can continue raking in half billion dollar dividends and mulit billion dollar profits unimpeded!!! who's the wankers?
