  1. I think it said in the paper that cars over 5 years have to have inspections every 2 years or something like that....sux IMO
  2. HPI no 5 is probably one of the best ones.
  3. her200sx, does/did your brother drive a white vl calais??
  4. Just take any driveway sideways!!! Best advice I can give!! Sometimes you'll scrape the bar, sometimes you'll be lucky! I learnt this when my b/f had his walkinshaw and had to go over anything and everything sideways! And then he gets into my car which is at least 2 inches higher, and scrapes the side of my front bar....not happy Jan!!
  5. My clutch does that in reverse sometimes when its really cold. I've read a thread on here somewhere before where people said it was the thrust bearing. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...=thrust+bearing I've been told not to worry about it as you don't have a real issue with the thrust bearing until it starts doing the same thing constantly while you're driving normally, ie going forward, or sitting at a stand still. I'm not sure if this is true or not though!!!
  6. Airzone - I'm not sure if its the same with all insurance companies, but mine decreases my agreed value every year. Eg, last year it was agreed for 24,000, this year I got my renewal and it was only agreed for 22,500. Not sure how they work it out, but oh well!
  7. Yep nissansilvia.com has a for sale section.
  8. This thread is classic!!! I knew people didn't like them but this is hilarous!!! My b/f got bagged so much for going from a commo to 32 GTR then he got bagged even more for going back to a commo!! Can't win!! LOL
  9. Just want to say that we don't all hate commies, geez my b/f has had every commie u can imagine, but doesn't mean I'd drive one though!! I'm with hippy though, taxi drivers are pretty much the worst drivers out there, along with people driving those old square sh*& box XF Falcons!!!!! I've almost been run off the road by a few of them!!! No offence if anyone here has one!!!! And yes, I'd say P platers in VLs are the most common ones pulling up next to you and asking to have their doors blown off
  10. Love it! I should get the "No, This is Not My Boyfriends Car" sticker!! LOL I hate it when they don't believe me!!!!
  11. hhehe not worried about giving them a plug - they gave me a really good price and I've bought all of my Momo accessories from them!!
  12. I usually get 320-360 city driving and 400-450 country driving, only mods I have are pod and 3". And I drive like a girl too, no thrashing it I've had it all checked out and apparently theres nothing wrong with it and its not using too much fuel, so they say!
  13. LOL! I want Boostd's TV in my car!!!
  14. I probably could put it on if I wanted to. I bought mine from www.emtechautomotive.com.au here in Adelaide.
  15. I have that exact steering wheel sitting under my bed cos I took it off my old car when I traded it and couldn't put it on my 'Line cos it has a bloody airbag!!!!!
  16. BOOSTD!!!!! No photos of me pllllleeease!! I hate photos!!!
  17. LOL this thread and the other are getting funnier each time I read them!!!
  18. Glad I didn't waste $17 then by the sound of it!! I couldn't drag the b/f cos he heard it was shit and didn't want to go!!!!
  19. I wanna c some of Autosalon! I'm supposed to be going today but duno if I wanna waste $17 cos I've been told it wasn't very good....anyone know otherwise??!!
  20. Yeah tell me about it!!! I got my renewal from Just Cars for $2,035 but disputed it cos I got an internet quote from them a couple of weeks ago for $1,881. Surprising they honoured the internet quote and apologised for making a mistake!!!! LOL
  21. Oh no!!!
  22. As long as there are no photos of me or my dirty car on the night then we're fine!! LOL
  23. Yep it was registered and insured by my parents, I was shocked too when they told me I had a rating, but they said that if you are a "listed driver" then you still gain a rating...this was three years ago, so I dunno if its still right or not!!?? When I called them last year to see if they'd insure my 33 (hahaha yeah right, but thought I'd try it seeing as my other car was currently through them...) they said I was listed as having insurance on a Toyota Corolla...I had to tell them that I was just a listed driver because apparently their computer couldn't tell the difference!!! I have no idea with insurance companies....they confuse me!!
  24. Thats doesn't sound completely right, I was on my parent's policy for two years before I got my own car and when I called them to find out what my rating was, they'd given me a rating for each year, hence I was a rating 4. That was a couple of years ago, and with SGIC so dunno if its changed or not....
  25. Maybe the age, but Shannons insure a lot of old classic cars, so it makes you wonder....
