    Hmm, they had cars advertised in last weeks Trading Post and my friend was looking at buying a car from there only last week... wonder what happened? :confused:

    John at Turbo Tune is John Keen. Used to work out of Darlington Auto Tune a few years ago. Not sure if there are any other Johns there though...

    I didn't even see the NSX until I drove back the other way later on. It did look very sweet though - then I saw another black one driving along NE Road about 2 minutes later. Not very often you see them around.

    John would definitely be one to see. I've seen his work first hand on a number of occasions and he does know his stuff, I just wouldn't let anyone else down there touch it

    No escape for whatisname by the look of it, everyone sees him everywhere I think I recall seeing you too skidmark sitting next to Motorcity. I was busy trying to drive and look at the gold 350 they have in there at the moment...

    Saw whatsisname on NE Road this afternoon while I was with a friend from work looking at 33s. Can't believe what hefty prices they're asking for some of them at the moment - more than what I paid 2 years ago. Plus they were all older and had higher kms... :blah:

    Well it definitely wasn't my car cos I wouldn't go near town on a Friday night unless I could help it. Plus my car is a Series I! I do have a blonde friend who has a white 33 though, AVS wheels, GTR front bar - could have been her... but hers is a Series I too... :confused:

    I'm thinking he means "hidden" as in the cars/cameras parked on the side of the road with a sign warning you AFTERWARDS that you've just passed through it. In NSW they have plenty of signs BEFORE all of their fixed speed cameras to warn you... "SPEED CAMERAS OPERATING THROUGH NSW", then "SPEED CAMERA OPERATING 24 HOURS", then "SPEED CAMERA AHEAD" and then the actual camera. Gives people plenty of a chance to slow down

    I agree with Dean. We need one of those good old late night SAU cruises like we used to have! Haven't been on a decent cruise for ages...

    The cops here are unbelievable. Going back and forward to see Matt in Sydney a few times, I've noticed that they barely even look at you over there compared to here. If you're not doing anything wrong they tend to leave you alone. Obviously they've got more important stuff to take care of.

    John is really good, he definitely knows his stuff about almost all cars. He used to do heaps of tuning of Supercars etc when he was at DAT. I'd take my car to him except I refuse to go to that workshop after hearing so many bad reports. Mrman, he did used to have a beard a few years ago so you may be thinking of him from back then.

    Geez thanks guys!! As if I would do that! On that topic, Dean where are my rims??!!!!!! You said you'd bring them back 2 months ago!! Might as well use them at the street meet, you've probably already fried my brand new tyres anyway!! hehe Might come out for a look if everyone is going to compete.

    I did some research on Famous. Read their policy very closely, it did have a clause re: not covering your car between the hours of 11pm and 7am should it be left in a public place. Not sure if that clause still exists but it definitely put me off going with them.

    I'd never removed the dash from the car at all, it just came over from Japan and had obviously not been calibrated correctly over there..was about 20km/h out. Easy fixed though.

    I'm not sure how much it costs, I had mine done under warranty through the car yard because it was not reading correctly when I purchased the car. Mine was not new either and had previously been on another car. Any guage place should be able to do it for you though. Just do a search on www.yellowpages.com.au for 'gauge'. There are pages of places listed that should be able to help.

    You'll need to get it recalibrated so that it reads properly - mine was the same.

    I had my car detailed by Advanced Auto Finesse when I first got it. Was very happy with it They are in the City Dismantlers Complex (8260 2253). Can't remember how much he charges but I know his prices are reasonable.
