Just found this thread.
Could always go the T67 and if it is too responsive put a 10cm exhaust housing on it. If you can get one for around $700 you are laughing.
An RB25 turned on the same read 'hub dyno' was running a T67 8cm listed by Trust for SR20, it now has the 10cm as he was chasing power.
The 8cm on a 2.5L auto would have similar response, but I'm not sure what gearing is in the diff, 4:11?. Should go nice.
Disco is right, the L2 may be a smidgen too small, unless you can get a 10cm housing later to suit, however the compressor side may hold you back then.
