  1. he is mates with the original owner, hope that clears things up. Didn't realise it was sold
  2. 31, drive it into the round or sell it to a P-Plate for profit!
  3. I didn't bother reading anything after the first post, however the best place to start is here: http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...bo_tech101.html http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...bo_tech102.html This one may be a little above your head at first, but it's worth a read: http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...bo_tech103.html
  4. Try calling DEEWR. http://www.deewr.gov.au/Pages/default.aspx The should be able to organise advise and potentially a career adviser to speak to if necessary.
  5. I see you are in the states. Nistune are local to Australia. Taking the factory ECU and adding a programmable ROM. A great option for your current level of mods. Vipec (Link) is a New Zealand product (correct?). They are supposed to be great quality products, but any ECU option is only as good as your tuner. If your workshop of choice is confident in tuning them then go for it. The cost could be twice that of the Nistune, but they are about as easy to tune as the other. (From what I am told). There are a few threads around here on both the Vipec and Nistune. And plenty of experienced tuners who post in this section. Best of luck in your choice. I have a Power FC in my (RB20 Powered) car, but if I had the choice to spend the money now and the Vipec was available when I first went to a full A/M ecu, then I would probably have a Vipec in my car.
  6. Ah I see. Great to see my neighbours are drug dealers
  7. Emsta, I still cannot work out what the next door neighbour is running, is it the Cafe? I will make sure people bycott the place if so, close the f**ker down! It is a joke that the cops cannot make more of a presence, they are two streets away from your work.
  8. Are you still working in Lakeside, yes? I can walk down there with a baseball bat if you like Pakenham police are f**king useless anyway no point calling them.

  11. The police would not have done anything. They would not have followed it up. Why would they give a shit about an egging? They have criminals to chase. Oh wait, no they don't. If they were driving a jap import they might have followed up.
  12. And to clarify, engine loom only. Can't be much harder than an R32 loom in an R31. Its about 7 wires and you are running with all gauges on the dash working.

  22. Ah yes, missed that part. Could always drop the subframe and have the engine held up by a block and tackle, dodgy but it will work.
  23. Hopefully because I have to change my seal while I am changing the water pump as the oil pump seal is weeping too
  24. Question. Why would the whole oil pump need to come off when just the seal needs to come off? Does the seal not sit between the pump and the cog that the timing belt goes onto?
  25. use grey silicon, you don't need a gasket IIRC.
