  1. Waste of time going cams until you need them. 360-380rwhp (boost dependant) here and I am starting to think about cams now. You have a long way to go yet Horses for courses however. I have seen 200rwkw RB20's that seem to respond well to cams although I am not sure if I personally call it a worthy investment.
  2. They should be fine with standard valves, springs etc. But I do not see the benifit. What turbocharger is on the car, do you have any dyno figures? With the right setup you might not need cams. I would say if you are chasing 300rwkw then it would be worthwhile, otherwise don't bother. There are plenty of good responsive setups (relatively) that can be had if you dont want anywhere near that power.
  3. No real option for people who are members but do track days with other clubs. So I just put, "plan to" and "I do compete".
  4. ahhhh mob mentality, lets give him the chair. When yo come right down to it, some people are no better than the monkeys. On both sides of the argument it seems.
  5. My GReddy oil cooler sandwich plate is -10 if that was the question
  6. Interesting resultes, similarly; with my stock engine, I found it responded the same as a factory manifold but up top over 7,000rpm it keeps making power whilst an other RB20 I have seen with the same turbo drops off. Cant wait to get some cams in it though. Good luck tuning it!
  7. How do you find the KU plenum for response against the factory intake manifold? How is your top end also. I ask because I have one and have not spoken to anyone else who uses one on a 20. I just wanted to compare thoughts. Obviously the 2.4L will be a bit different, but close enough I guess
  8. A mate of mine has a standard turbo back system and in need of a 3" minimum cat back. Perhaps a swap plus cash could be arranged? His username is GTR32. Oherwise you are welcome to PM me.
  9. KU Engineering plenum?
  10. Tiny then, will make 180rwkw max on one of those if its stock and be laggy. The Jap spec S15 turbo's are nice and responsive, that would be my option of choice if I didn't want to spent a lot of $
  11. IIRC Trust list different part numbers for cat back (R34), something to do with the rear cradle geometry etc?

Red R35, plates GTR-02 going down dandy cranbourne road at 5.30 last night.
  13. 10cm is on it now, is it not? Time to give it another go
  14. Can you get the gauge to move, using a multi metre? That is what I did when putting R32 engines into R31's That will tell you if it works at all. Perhaps you need a resister? Sometimes Tacho's need that done to get them working when changing engines.
  15. Did the gauge work before the conversion? and how does being a mechanic automatically make you an auto elec?
  16. G3X with T04S comp housing fouled on my engine mount.
  17. Off topic much..... alxr33 I like you, you're funny. You have some good points, I don't agree with them all, but at least you are not getting on the bandwagon. Keep it up. At the end of the day the kid was 18, skyline or not he would have done the same. Get over it.
  18. 350+ rwhp I'm Biased, Trust TD06L2 high mount will shit it in and look good doing it otherwise Garrett GT3071? or the likes?
  19. Anti drain back valves can be see by looking at the filter. Take a look see next time you pick one up I was using K&N and went over to drift since it is hard for me to get the K&N ones now.
  20. Ah, explains that drop off at 3,500-4,000 where I am guessing you are coming onto full boost is. Should be gone for the most part with a good tune. Almost looks like wheel spin if it wasn't on a dynapak
  21. Use some electrical contact cleaner, will be fine. Just remember he is a mechanic not an auto elec

Out west/north: Creatd. East side: Status. Pretty much sums it up. To keep the masses happy, there is also RacePace, but you don't own a GTR
  23. That info if it is on the mark is gold!
  24. Sounds like too much fuel going in and killing it. Could be a leak, need a tune, bad fuel reg, atmo box, or something I have missed...
