  1. Agreed, If I had my time again, I would look around 230rwkw with plenty of response and a standard manifold. The L2 is a fun turbo but not for the average consumer. It is one hell of a ride Why I will stick with it? I will never get back what I paid for the kit, which is far far less than what the RRP is.
  2. Roy and I are both making 260-280rwkw on 1.2-1.4 bar with TD06 L2's, and I get full boost before 4,500, around 4,200 with a slight manifold leak at the time (that grew bigger). And I don't run out of puff at limiter 7,600 rpm (but I have a different intake manifold) I am thinking, unless you want well over 300rwkw (say 350+) don't bother. But by that power level RB25's make sense
  3. Can we see a graph which proves that the will demonstrate the other side of the story while we are at it? Lets get two graphs (doubt we will seen anything that we can accurately compare but lets see if we can) otherwise both sides are speculation. Lets also get some compressor maps while we are at it and make some more accurate speculations. We can look at housings / trims, bearing cores and make a guesstimation, but its still a best guess. Trust and HKS build their turbos (bearing theories) quite different from what I understand. While the plain bearing is more volatile and supposedly not as responsive, a ball bearing provides some friction by its own nature. Tech docs suggest the cost outweighs the negatives and in this day and age why not. But lets see who has mastered their craft, its an interesting debate and the million dollar question. Again at the end of the day horses for courses.
  4. Was gonna mention the TD06, but didn't wanna look one sided, but Roy has seen more combo's than I, and I agree, I just wouldn't bother with one for a daily if you are planning to enjoy the turbo on the street. If you are looking at track then go for it, a great option. But hey I'm biased. What about a 2871 style turbo with a proper garrett (t3 flanged) housing and not the machined OP6 housing? would that work out?
  5. Trust TD06 20G L2......feel free to get the calculator out EDIT: I'm getting 1.25bar at around 4,200
  6. There is nothing decent readily available on the market, you will need to make one. -10 fittings are the way to go I am looking to make something similar to what RIPS have done for their customers, fitting it where the battery tray is.

    GOLD!
  8. Nice pissing contest boys....Not hard to tell who has beef with others. I don't own an RB26, I don't ever plan to. But from what I have seen around here as mentioned something is wrong with your setup, the thing comes on as late as my setup (RB20). For the capacity and the size / trim of the GT-SS's I would be concerned, get it looked at I will leave you to your ego's....I mean your tuners ego's that you live through vicariously.

Spotted this on the way to work and had to take a photo.... The most embarrassing example of a Skyline I have seen in a while and the reason why the missus thinks they are all rice boxes. It had a shopping list, "Street Racing" in that SPOOKY font and some muztek looking spec bloke/girl (I couldn't tell the difference) driving. /FAIL
  11. The price to pay for having taste in cars I guess
  12. Agreed with the above.
  13. Nissan Alternativley, I'm sure PBR do them, any auto shop would be able to get them. If anyone stocks them, becides nissan I doubt it. You will probably have to order one and wait a couple of days.
  14. pop your head out the window and make stupid noises as you change gears.....IBTL
  15. intake manifolds are different, fuel rail is more like an rb30 on the redtop, it has hose tail injectors. If the inlet manifold says NICS it is def a redtop, there is an ECCS variant. Best look at R31SkylineClub for the differences, there are plenty of threads about them, redtops came in the HR31 import from japan among other cars.
  16. Nice, closer than Hoppers for ya.
  17. Spunky, I think you should goto as many good\trashy media sources you can and tell your story truthfully and fairly (no bullshit so the police cannot catch any dramatisation out to dismiss you). I think what has happened is beyond a joke now. If that were me I think I would be in county for murder of a police officer.
  18. Nintendo did a heap of security on their games in the past (not sure now) to do with locking the games code if the machines region did not match the console it was on. That might explain the GCN games, but SNES due to being completely emulated is beyond me.
  19. Some games Jap NTSC, some US NTSC? IIRC they were \ are slightly different.
  20. 245/40 R17's will fit mint on a 9" wheel
  21. Wheel spin with that power and sort of response, time for some decent street tyres & wider than stock rims, then thin thing will be way more enjoyable Good work, I like the mods, nice and neat! Just get those injectors sorted, 85psi base pressure on the reg = f**king band if anything goes wrong.
  22. Glad my car is getting some TLC over the next couple of weeks....
  23. Yeah I remember yours being taken, same guy (the other offender) f**kwits!!!
  24. Probably the same guy that stole my mates S15 a few years ago. I hear he is out of Jail soon \ possibly already.
  25. Agreed, he really needs to check the belt and see where all the markings are. A betting man would put money on this.
