  17. SK is this the same for the garrett GT series turbochargers? I assume so. ALso in regards to the inlet line, I was thinking it ocould be a good idea to make it curl like the factory does IIRC, or would that restrict the flow of the oil and starve the turbo then? (I think Nismoid did this on his RB25) cheers -Jez

  20. While on the subject, can anyone reccomend someone to clean and flow injectors in melbounre.....East preffered?
  21. x2 if you cant figure it out on your own, you WILL have problems. alternativley, autobarn are a trust dealer and should be able to help....MAYBE last time I checked there wasnt manuals in PDF for turbo installation. although the last trust turbo I fitted came with instructions IIRC
  22. Get an RB30E exhaust manifold gasket for $10, cut it between each cylinder and rotate no 5 IIRC. Saving of $110

  25. Turbo timers are used so that when a car is turned off the turbo isnt really really hot, as this will lead to the oil stuck in the turbo to shear. With oil and water cooled turbochargers this isnt as impreative. But you would be silly to shut off a car you just went for a big thrash in. It does potentially reduce tuirbo life. But the idea as far as Im lead to believe is that in the good ol days of oil cooled bushies being the norm for most snails it lead to serious oil shearing and therefore gunk in the turbo and engine reducing oil flow and lubrication, thus cooling capacity also = dead snail. well thats what i think anyway
