  1. HRMMMM time to fork out $400 on HPC ceramic coatings then
  2. as above....Located in VIC. Taken off the car yesterday! $100 + postage PM me -Jez
  3. AH I see now what you were talking about. Im going to try to use a 4" inlet and be creative with it, I had another look at the engine mount and the main bit that looks in the way I am probably going to cut it to stop it fouling and get the P/S line properly re bent with some tools from a mate. Im also getting a friend of mine (mechanic, engineering whiz) to take a look at the mount and suggest how I / we can cut it and be 100% confident it wont cause any other issues. Other than that cheers for the pic, Ill be keeping that to help me out. Also, the HR31 has a frak load more room than most skylines and also the fact no AC is there helps a heap too Ive got a mate with a R33 with a GT3040R .82 or whatever it is who has a Trust 4" inlet so hes a great source for a perv at what I need to do, unfortunately he is IW and using std mani. So his input is limited compared to you boys with taste such as me. Lastly BHDave.....in regards to your manifold, have you coated your with any ceramic coating etc? Mines currently in exhaust paint, which I reckon will melt off pertty easy, I was thinking going HPC coatings in VIC for race coating (black stuff) $400 tho Your manifold looks rust free like you see alot of cast manifolds, HKS ones included, just wondering your secret. cheers -Jez
  4. anyone else having trouble viewing the attatched images on this forum? Id love to see those pics
  5. Yes that piece of metal on the engine mount Ive gotta take a closer look at its about 10mm away from the inlet. Ill see what I can do with it. Would love to be able to see the image, forum in FF just loads the url, and IE loads junk (IE the files source) BHDave any change of emailing me that image? [email protected]
  6. Thanks for the input all. BH Dave: Its an RB20DET silvertop in a HR31, its got so much room due to no A/C and a non HICAS pump due to me having a RB30E pump which is half the size of my old HICAS pump. And yes I already noticed the P/S line fun!!!! YAY for meeee. Nizmoid: Cheers for that man. Im contemplating a few design ideas at the moment. Its defenantly going to have to go UP and over some shit thats for sure.
  7. looks like he made up a flange with a small piece of pipe and the a flange for the gate
  8. The garrett warranty card states that the bolts for the comp cover exhaust mani etc are actually loose and you adjust accordingly. cheers for the heads up T04 GTR I thought I might have to
  9. Cheers BEV11S...figured as much
  10. Im going a Tial 38mm Gate. I figure make up a flange for the HKS side of things then roughly a 2" dia pipe to a flange for the tial gate should do the trick, it will still be mega close to the collector compared to other manifolds and then I can mount the wastegate where I want cous I can bend up the pipe however I want it. I will probably use stainless also as my exhaust will be stainless also, so why not keep the theme. -Jez
  11. I was looking in your other thread, and no spacer needed even though everyone told me I would Ill post in ur thread about my gate
  12. Hey all, welp my new snail finally arrived this weekend and I have trial fitted it with great success. My qestion is to those garrett guru's is how successful wil I be rotating the turbo exhaust housing. I need to rotate it around 180 degrees as since you can see in the pic im using a low mount manifold and the oil drain fitting is at the top of the turbo. If I rotate the housing then the turbochargers "core" will be facing the right way and I can then get some oil flowing in the correct way. Can anyone forsee any issues I will have. I know you can rotate the inlet and exhaust housings, but by how much. granted I may have to take the comp cover off if thw two hosings foul but I just want to be sure I can set it the right way around. Also the warranty slip etc from GCG / Gaarrett states that the oil drain should be no more than 5 degrees from dead square, how leaneant is this, I think ive read in passing upto 30 degrees, surely thats too much! any advice is appreciated -Jez
  13. Nangkangs will be the problem ROFLMFAO @ Nangkang

  21. Your going to hell for that one
  22. Nur R have a really nice note to them from the cars Ive heard them on....GTR, GTST, Silvia
  23. HRMMMMM Interesting views....Im in the same boat. Ext. gate to atmosphere, but what to run from the turbo back, Im probably not going to use a cat, so either 3.5" from turbo back or 3" turbo to "where the cat should be" then 3.5" "cat back" so to say.......Opnions? This is for 260 (street) and possiably 300rwkw later on..... Remember Roy Atmo Gate = Love
  24. the old girl just saw it gazza, good to see you ended getting it on the news. Did you SMS me last night too?
  25. OK there is no forsale sticker on the back.... Has (prob now had) a CREATD sticker on the back window Has a cracked windscreen (massive crack) Its a Spec S but instead of the spec S badge it has APEXi badges in place. Has silvia on the back of the boot...To the RHS of the boot IIRC The nissan badge on the bonnet is upsidedown too Has a vieper alarm with the light up stickers also. Thought this would also help -Jez ALSO, the one spotted in campbellfield had a FS sticker is we think its still in the SE, some more ppl with yellow S15's aparently have been approached by the suspects this past week, so we are thinking the theives stole the car to rebirth it! Possiably changing plates etc, so it might have different plates on it, But I think ive posted a good description. Last semi-accurate sopt was the SE burbs (near dadny road - possiably)
