  1. Interesting, however if you are chasing power similar to what a GT3076 would achieve on ab RB20, I would think the GTX3071 would be more responsive, but not as responsive as the GT3071. (Hope that makes sense)
  2. Go away if you have nothing constructive to post
  3. That turbo is NOT the same as the Trust TD06 L2 that Roy (ran?) and I run.... Other than that I agree with everything Roy said 100%... If I was choosing now GTX3071 would be my choice....
  4. good to hear
  5. I didn't realise that I was on the NS forums...I hope this event does in fact succeed. But you are cutting it fine IMO. I have not (unless I clearly missed it, and the first post by some chance has not been updated) seen any information about accomodation. IE. some sort of deal with a local caravan park, motels etc for cheaper rates for all of the people staying in the area over the weekend. Let's be realistic you don't want a free for all at the last minute. Also, I hope you have time to book the track and see if Shepp/Wangaratta is even up to host the event considering the floods in that area of late. Their councils may be too busy to deal with the event committee or not see the event as feasable at this time. You have probably thought along these lines and already actioned things, I have just not seen much in the way of mentioning anything.
  6. Trust PE 2 is about as quiet as it gets off the shelf.
  7. Got mine through Just Jap
  8. Spin the CAS by hand and see if everything fires?
  9. He has gotten me out of trouble on many occasions. Freaking awesome work!
  10. Looks fantastic. Is that still a KU plenum? If so, it ooks like their quality has gotten a lot better!
  11. The only thing I would pick on in the GCG kits are the water lines. Use braided lines for EVERYTHING if you can. (Mafia mentioned braided in his post, that means oil and water lines)
  12. will a Plazmaman fit? It uses the factory runners. This is an RB20 or 25?

All you can do is call up. The test you have done checks if your Exchange has the ability to supply ADSL2. It does not (usually) tell you if there free ports and if the copper that runs from the Exchange to your home is up to / is configured to do so. The story I got is that Telstra either cannot / will not re wire my house. If it's a will not then I would suggest trying Bigpond and taking it up the bot bot (for the sake of decent internet it might be worth it). See how you go

Most new states are wired pair gain. You will be lucky if you can get ADSL2. Best chance is with telstra. They might re wire your house, then again you could be sharing copper with a dozen other houses. Optus cable with their speed pack is the way to go. NBN like speeds now. Although I dont think optus are allowed to lay any more coax. Which sucks. New housing estates are copping it in the bot bot. Just ask anyone from point cook, a lot of houses there don't even have the copper to the house when they are built.

almost forgot. In regards to latency (ping), don't compare against ADSL 1 to ADSL 2. ADSL 1 actually has better latecny, hence a lot of serious gamers have dedicated ADSL1 for gaming and ADSL2 for everything else.

Bad wireless config / reception can also lose packets.... I would try both wireless and with ethernet plugged into a router. That will tell you if it is between your modem and ISP or its your LAN.
  17. That is great news. Can't wait to see what the "rod" changes include. Club rego on my HR31 would be hella nice!!!!

More closer to ADSL 1.5Mb but slightly slower. Sounds like you have either been: 1. Capped by telstra 2. Modem configuration 3. Stuffed modem 4. Issue with lines 5. Issue at the exchange 6. Issue with ISP I would check out the modem by going into its config (via browser usually) (there should be some info on how to on a sticker on the modem/router) otherwise hit the Googles. There should be some tests you can run in its software. Do you run filters on all your phone extensions (assuming they are connected to the same number?) You could have a dodgy one. (EG. i has a $2 one that I ran with my old modem/router that would not allow my new modem to sync, put a better one in and its fine). Also check for noise on the line (listening to the line when all you can hear is a dial tone), also check the wiring from phone socket to modem, also if the line is quite long interference could be causing an issue. After that try turning it off and letting it cool down. If this makes a difference, try getting more ventilation into it. If it's a dlink try putting it on it's side for better ventilation/cooling. if it's still shit call Bigpond. If they come to test and find the fault on your side of the lines(IE your property) you will be up for dollars. If I was not so f**king flat out busy with work and Christmas shit I would pop in and take a look see along with some spare modems I have. If it ain't sorted by the new year let me know and I will pop in
  19. Will be back in a week. Cost to fix $100-150 plus it will probably require a new clear coat on it. Will be sending the bills to TNT
  20. Got onto a third guy who makes carbon bike mufflers even closer to me. Hopefully taking it there tomorrow. Sounds like 3 places so far. Still have not heard back from tullamarine. And I still don't havetje place in dandys number. Should be enough places to sort it all out. TNT still haven't contacted the supplier who has the account that sent the package. Time to give them another call tomorrow.
  21. Have not heard back from the place in Tullamarine, but my old man found two places in Dandenong that make carbon and kevlar for race cars and bike exhausts. He is taking it to them for a quote and I have started a claim with TNT. They can pay for their f**k up
  22. Hazaar!!!! http://www.yellowpages.com.au/vic/tullamarine/creative-fibres-13116188-listing.html?context=businessTypeSearch&referredBy=YOL Trying to get onto these guys as I type!
  23. That is the point right there, SAU Vic as a majority have missed out on 3 very good national events of the same vein now. (that are only gettin better). The motervation that SAU puts behind these sort of events could have made things bigger and better. It just seems silly to my for another almost identical event, but ran by different people. I'm pretty sure SAU:SA had a blast a couple of months ago in SA. Don't get me wrong I will more than likely attend this event. There is probably no need to point this out, the event will almost certinly bring out different groups within the skyline universe, it just seems a waste that he SAU community could have gotten on board something of the exact same flavor 6 years ago.
  24. That is pretty much what I have read on some american Honda forums. I will be giving it to a professional; I just did not want to bother loading it up and taking it there if it were not worth my trouble. I read something along the lines that there are different resins. Others have told me that it 'should' just be fibreglass 2 pt expoy. Any way that I can tell without getting the chemistry set out?
  25. Anyone had to send their carbon parts for repair even?
