  8. Very nice - Id love one myself in a few years time Loving the colour too Congrats on the buy!
  9. Dont jizz on your chamois
  10. If you are worried i think Trust & HKS make cooler kits where the piping reverts back to the stock location - meaning no holes need to be cut Im looking into this myself for my r33
  11. The only problems i had with mine and they seem to be the most common with skylines is the misfire issue at 5000rpm when you test drive the car bring it over 5000 rpm to check for this - often its sparkplugs needing to be changed, or a new set of coils ($600 odd) Just do the usual checks and you should be sweet - they arent really prone to breaking down that i know of
  12. Just another story where they can dig at import owners Funny thing is they wouldnt have a clue by the sound of it
  13. I bet its plugs Grab a fresh set and whack them in
  14. Isnt the HICAS computer under there as well?
  15. What state are you in? NSW rules are that you cannot drive a v8 or turbo vehicle whilst on your p's - there are exemptions however
  16. I had the same debate when i went skyline shopping I orginally wanted a 32 gtst, but after seeing the prices they go for i decided to also look at a 33 gtst The r33 ended up the winner for me because: It handled better than the 32 that i drove (they both had coilover kits) Power delivery in the 33 felt a lot better More room in the 33 which is good for me as i often cart around a few boxes + i think the interior is nicer It had lower k's and i could insure it for more Sure it has the extra weight, but it also has the .5 L capacity to make up for it That said i'd still love a 32 as i absolutely love the shape, but the 33 is starting to grow on me In the end we are all winners - we drive skylines
  17. The curiosity bug got the better of me ECR33009900 Thanks
  18. I was thinking of doing it in the cig lighter spot but its too hard to see whilst driving Im getting some fibreglass to make my own mount - ill let everyone know how it goes
  19. If you want to get one, then get one but here is my advice Dont skimp on insurance - if it gets stolen, bye bye $15k or whatever you spent on it. Theres nothing more fun than paying off a car you dont own anymore because you decided 3k was too much. Just remember, you looking at 10 year old cars. Things break. If you cannot find them from a wrecker they have to be brought in through Nissan, via Japan - its not cheap to get parts Be prepared to open your wallet . On a apprenticeship wage i doubt you would have much money left after insurance, fuel, car repayments, and whatever other bills you have - i could be wrong, but thats the way it goes for most of us. Ive seen guys eating 2min noodles every day because they cant afford to go food shopping. If its still really what you want, then you will enjoy the skyline world Good luck
  20. Spotted YCOPY R33 Gtst driving alongside me on the northern distributor Nice car! Was going to wave but you drove past lol ~ i was in the gunmetal 33
  21. I did it once but i had no choice - the petrol station had no premium whatsoever. I put just enough to get me to another servo to fill up with pulp. I did put some octane booster in for good measure. The car ran like garbage - backfired heaps, idled funny I always double check before i put the nozzle in
  22. Is it the plug for the seatbelt light on the dash? When i jump in my car and start it, the seatbelt light stays on untill i clip in
  23. I was just thinking then.. Take the vent out at the bottom of the a pillar and fibreglass the gauge into that Hmm...might have to research some more Will check out the mearcat pods - thanks Keep em coming
