  1. Are these the Dmax ones you are in reference too? https://justjap.com/collections/driveshafts-bearings/products/d-max-reinforced-replacement-rear-driveshaft-set-fits-nissan-s13-s14-s15-r32-r33-r34-c35#description Not a bad idea to get the uni flange ones. I have sent just jap an email too. Will see what they say lmao. Only thing is the Dmax ones are on a big back order. Low key anything will be better then my OEM ones I got as they are sounding like popcorn when I go under load lmao 😂☠️🪦.
  2. Hello, I am looking to replace my two rear drive shafts in my R34 N/A Skyline but I'm finding conflicting information. Do S13/S14/S15 or R32 NA/ R33 NA fit? https://justjap.com/products/gsp-premium-rear-drive-shaft-l-h-nissan-silvia-s13-s14-s15-3x2-type?currency=AUD&srsltid=AfmBOoqY7EwDaYCUoUU3mxxZ_qrUXkVVHiV4MIN7ozoar6scjnEiekv- would this fit?
  3. *** UPDATE *** I have done it the gearbox is in the car and it is rolling Car feels so much more responsive with the RB20DET box. Will keep you updated how it goes. So as it turns out I didn't have to use any speed sensor. The rear drive shaft has an abs sensor which detects speed. So I didn't end up using the S13 speed sensor. I checked that the Speedo was reading right with two different GPS apps on two different phones and it all lines up. So the R34 GT NA dont seem to need a speed sensor from the gearbox. Instead of runs off the ABS system 💪
  4. Okay I have got the speed sensor in the mail from the KA24DE (S13 MODEL) all bolts in nicely Spoke to another guy who did the same swap in his N/A R34 and he said that the car used the speed sensor off the differential (Not sure how that works) but I will give it a shot and test it. If all else fails and neither of those work I'll buy an S14 speed sensor and test. Man this has been a rabbit hole 😂
  5. I certainly would but it's all in the car now 🥺 the R33 pedal is the rusty one. I was able to figure out where to drill it by putting them side by side from one another and used some rulers. As the R33 pedal was a higher pitch and longer I used a thick 2CM high pipe (was going to use a couple of nuts) to fill the gap. Made sure it was all tight and solid would hate for my brake pedal to not function 😳 Other then that I have been using the pedal for a while now and it all seems to be good have checked that it's still tight which it is Just got the speed sensor in the post so I'm waiting for the hoist to be free anyone know what the recommend oil is for the RB20DET box?
  6. Just letting you guys know that the R33 brake pedal has a higher pitch bracket on it so it didn't line up with the R34 auto 5th dash screw. Ended up drilling a hole in it and putting a thick spacer in between. All seams very tight.
  7. Found this neat website that lists all the details about the 71-Series transmission (RB20DET) speedometer gears and ratios / history. The website also lists what is compatible with what. http://datsun1200.com/modules/mediawiki/index.php?title=71 Also web archived it for future uses (If needed ) https://web.archive.org/web/20240109124810/http://datsun1200.com/modules/mediawiki/index.php?title=71
  8. Okay update I have placed an order on the parts. The speed sensor is coming from the USA so it will take some time for it to come over to AUS early FEB some time. But I am also getting some other parts at the same time like a rear main seal (May as well do it while I have to box out) I will keep the form posted how I go
  9. Okay so correct me if I'm wrong my R34 is RC40 and according to this website it means my car is: R34 GT – RB25DE – auto – 4.083 https://www.eatsleepboost.lt/tech-info/nissan-tech-info/nissan-r200-diff-ratios/ This website also lists the S13 diff ratios as the following: S13 – KA24DE – USDM – manual/auto – R200/R200V – 4.083 S13 – CA18DE – JDM – r180 6 bolt – manual/auto – 4.363 S13 – CA18DET – EDM – manual/auto – R200/R200V – 3.916 S13 – CA18DET – ADM – manual/auto – 4.363 S13 – CA18DET – JDM – manual/auto – 4.363 S13 – SR20DE (ABS) – manual/auto – 4.111 S13 – SR20DET – manual – 4.111 S13 – SR20DET – auto – 3.916 PS13/RPS13 – SR20DE (ABS) – JDM – manual/auto – 4.083 PS13/RPS13 – SR20DET – JDM – manual – 4.083 PS13/RPS13 – SR20DET – JDM – auto – 3.916 So if my understanding is right I need a KA24DE USDM or a JDM version. Probably the KA24DE would be the easiest and safest bet to get?
  10. Correct me if I'm wrong but the box is going to be connected to my car's original diff? That shouldn't make a difference as the speed is picked up in the box?
  11. Okay so I have done some R&D the RB25DE sensor has 21 teeth and is a lot longer then my model. RB25DE sensor model (purple)codes are: 25010-79T01 – Sender 32743-71T21 – Gear / Cog As you can see this is much larger then my speed sensor shown above. Further research has found that the S13 / SR20 / KA24DE sensors are the same size as the RB20 (R32) and still offer 21 teeth while supplying two output wires (As seen in red cog) So I'm 99% sure it will fit into my box but the question is will it out put the correct voltage pattern??????
  12. So If that's the case and the R32 speed (Cable) sensor goes into the rb20 box would that mean the R33 sensor should fit into my rb20 box?
  13. Yeah how interesting right! As I am in Australia maybe it was from a Commodore at some point? If I look up VL gearbox speed sensor it looks awful similar. While searching this morning I found this https://vegaautosports.com/products/speedo-sensor-and-pinon-to-suit-nissan-silvia-s14-and-skyline-r33-n-a-gearboxes not sure if this would fit into my box seeming its an RB20 box of some sort. The images don't really show if there are any plugs. But yet again it shows Silvia parts in RB20 Boxes. What do you think?
  14. So the 3 wires is from an r31 and it's called a hall effect unit. That sensor with its 3 wires will not work on my car. I have found that much. I did see that the KA24DE has 2 wires
  15. Thanks for the replys guys. I am yet to take out my auto gearbox but believe the R34 has two wires plug for the speed sensor? But currently the one in the box has 3 wires. Does anyone know the exact model speed sensor I need? I'll count the teeth on the sensor that it came with.
  16. Under some more research would a KA24DE speed sensor work? It seems to have the same connector? I have read on another form about pulses from the speed sensor?
  17. Hi all, I have recently brought an engine (RB25DE) / manual gearbox (small box) from Facebook Market place for a good price which I will be putting into my R34 RB25DE sedan. As you are probably aware the gearbox is an RB20 box which the N/A manuals had. The problem that I'm having is with the boxes sensors. There are 3 ports on the box 2 of which are missing cables I'm not sure if the speed sensor will fit my loom / it looks to be missing a cord? ( On purpose?) And its bracket is broken so a replacement is required. Would my 4 speed automatic one fit? I have attached the photos below including speed sensor Any help would be much appreciated 👍
  18. Current suspension is shot (It is making gun shots noises rattata) I have isolated it to the front to shocks. The rear two are ok. The whole car is running stock suspension currently. I just brought the car but it needs to be replaced asap.
  19. Cheers for the message ☺️ BC Racing looks really good especially with the damper option. But I don't really have the money for them... I know it's like half the price but have you heard of max speeding rods before? https://au.maxpeedingrods.com/product/nissan-skyline-gtst-r33-24-way-adjustable-damper-coilover-shock-absorber-strut-suspension-kit.html
  20. Sweet you wouldn't happen to know if there is a diffrents between the coupe and Sedan? Or are they identical? Coilovers that is?
  21. Hello, first time posting here. I'm after new suspension for my R34 n a 1998 Skyline sedan. After doing some investigation underneath a hoist I have determined that my rear suspension is using the eyelet configuration. When browsing for coilovers. They all seem to have rear fork style configuration. I have seen some comments that the R33 GTST suspension will work on the R34 NA sedan suspension? Is this correct
