Hey legends, first time ever installing a steering wheel LOL and I’m a little confused…. And the discussions I’ve found don’t really answer my question. im finally trying to install this nismo steering wheel that came with my car. removed OE steering wheel off my car no issues, first issue I ran into though is the Saas boss kit I got was non hi as so first Whomp whomp…. Was there any recommendations for a good boss kit? second issue I ran into was the nismo horn only has one connection on the back? this confuses me as I would think there should be two? one for positive one for earth? Any would be much appreciated 🙏🏽🙏🏽

I ended up pulling the wires and found only the green and grey lead to the stereo, the yellow and black were connected to nothing and just pulled them out

I might start fresh, there’s just to much going on to understand and no auto elec will come look at it for 2 speakers for a reasonable price lol and I’ve already done the front speakers myself.

There’s no amp looks like at one stage there was as there is a separate black plug laying back there. considered Apple car play but the double din means i sacrifice my aircon or gauges haha

I’ve decided to swap out these old carrozzeria ts-a70w in the rear parcel shelf for some pioneers while I’m sound deadening, I’m looking at the wiring and none of it makes sense it’s all mixed up and a mess…. any ideas am I better off running new lines there is a lot going on in the boot with wires running everywhere and terminals everywhere.

I also would like to note that the r35 coils packs are aftermarket… and did note to him I feel that they are possibly breaking up under sustained load and heat as when I got home and let it idle had no issues and when I got off the freeway and started driving city speeds had no issues, so going to purchase hitachis. first time really driving it for so long aswell as I’ve only had it for 1-2 weeks.

That’s what I was thinking, builds all under warranty so hopefully they figure it out quickly and I can post what the issue is

Love it haha, tuner came around and checked he said the timing was out and finds the Ross trigger kits to be a bit touch and go… back to his shop Thursday to fully diagnose but he thinks timing is the cause as we checked fuel pump, fuel filter, injectors, ignition and all came back good…. was very weird tho as only happened under sustained load cruising on the m7 at a sustained rpm and speed it would start sputtering felt like anti lag as when I put my foot down it would sputter or break up and not give me any boost then pull like a freight train when it gave me boost and was all at once

Have tested fuel tank mixed with other e85 comes back to e90

I do, didn’t see any issue with fuel pressure ? Tested the Jerry can I got came back at over 90% no want to check the fuel tank see what that comes to after mixing

Morning little intro to the build r32 rb25 with a gtx3582 haltech platinum pro, 1000cc injectors 460 walbro fuel pump “maybe larger” with new lines and relay setup, new fuel lines an a FPR 1200. Made 350kw and Have had the car back now for a couple weeks haven’t had any real issue but this Sunday I got my first issue…. I generally fill up E85 at astron yagoona and with a quarter tank and on the way to a cars and coffee I stopped off at minto and put a full tank in it. after about 10 mins of driving and letting it all settle in the car started to misfire and splutter? nothing consistent but noticeable? on the way back spent about an hour on the free way at 110km/h cruising at about 3000rpm and this is where the car started to splutter intermittently and wouldn’t give me any boost if I dropped to 3rd gear would stop and let me have boost then start again when I would consistently cruise at 3000rpm this is where progressively the splutter would get more consistent. im about to check the fuel but the e85 at minto has always been consistent, I have aftermarket r35 coils and have pulled them apart and they look good to go and injectors sound to be doing there job? At idle I don’t have any issues when i let it idle for a while and gave it a few solid revs and nothing? When I got off the motor way and was driving city speeds/ traffic “50km/h” no splutter? Could it be a: fuel issue? coil issue? tune issue? will go for another drive to see if it starts up again and see. any helps appreciated!!!!

I’m pretty good with the fabrication, painting and wiring. Get it how I like it but when trying to learn how to build a motor I just can’t get myself to by myself, I’d love to reason Ill do it along with him and mainly I’ll be doing it he’ll just guide me on it. reason I learnt how to paint, fabricate and some basic wiring skills is Because my father and learnt step by step from him hahah

My mate just works on rbs mainly 25-26, so rather pay him “mates rates” to do it in his off time hahha

I was going to but with the money about to be spent don’t wanna blow it up, mechanic is awesome enough to let me watch and learn as he does it.

Pulling the engine apart yes, re-assembly will be done by and expert. just need to weight it up there’s no way of really doing it unless I pull it out and at that point I’m better off just doing a rebuild of the motor.

Awesome thanks bro, I did snap up a complete bottom end for peanuts I considered do a slow build on and later slap that in but that’s just an idea haha and 350rwkw-400kw would be a handful with a 32 gtst on the street was making 270kw on the 20 and had an absolute blast with it so can see an extra 100kw being even more fun especially with more displacement I was quoted a decent price with not much of a wait time for porting the head and doing a clean etc on it would it be worth it for what I’m looking for ?

Street duties tbh man, just don’t got the budget for the machining and the wait time is ridiculous… I did consider if I could get away with balancing it all and slapping it in, not having to hone and bore it etc

And at that point I’m probably best then doing the lot lol thanks for the input man, I’ll call around and see if I can get away with doing the crank and Just keeping stock rods and pistons do new bearings and piston rings etc

Okay sweet, with the nitto pump I don’t have to do the crank collar ? don’t wanna take it apart tbh lol for longevity over 400kw would be looking at machining ? And forged ?

The baffled sump was one I forgot to add and was going to go nitto but told billet gears would do the job if I didn’t want to to the collar.
