  1. Hello I have a rb25 turbo with I believe to be a rb20 wastegate the turbo was given to me so I dont know much about it. The issue is that I think that the wastegate isn't opening all the way it feels like it has a good amount of preload on the rod. When I open it by hand it only opens about 1/2 of the way and the same if I hook up air to it. My question is that shouldn't the wastegate open the fully? Nothing is fouling (rod or WG). Also last thing to add when I take the rod off the wastegate can move in the full motion. IMG_2547.mov

Hello today I was getting little stuff done here and there getting ready for my first start and I noticed that the black piece was kind of hanging out and it was broken i must have hit it or something I put my finger in the hole that it was in and felt nothing just wanted to see if anyone knew what this was and if I need to replace it. It was in the hole between the two lines.

I was going to just loop the lines since they loop anyways just wondering if anyone knows if the front lines are for cooling or something? Basically just want ur guys 2 cents on this. I want to do it because to just have a clear engine bay.

  8. Hi everyone I recently built my r32 rb25de and was putting on the transmission and cant seem to get it on all the way. I'm using an action clutch kit and flywheel. I had the alignment tool in when installing as well. I put the trans on and it feels like its in also when I spin the crank it does spin the trans so I'm not too sure what to do. Going to try and take off the PP and reinstall it. Maybe the clutch isn't aligned right. Any suggestions help. Also its a normal single disk clutch.
  9. Yea I’ll post as soon as it’s done

  15. On the r32 gts25 the fuel rail has 2 regulators can the rear reg be deleted and also make the fuel rail returnless?
  16. I wiped the scratches and they went away it was only about 1-3 wipes from very fine emery cloth he said it could have been from not enough oil in the bores or too much rotating of the assembly also he said that the type of ring compressor I'm using can make the rings catch a bit. Before I put the pistons back together I will check the gaps and double check the rings for deburring.
  17. I talked to my machinist he said to take a emery cloth and wipe out the scratches and it should be fine he said since the scratches don't catch my nail its fine
  18. I took out the pistons today and found that all of them have some type of vertical scratch on the skirts I'm going to talk to my machinist today and see what there is to do. Hoping for the best this is my first rebuild.
  19. Hello I have started my rebuild of my rb25 it has been hone and bored to 87mm cp piston and manley rods. I gapped all the rings and installed the pistons I made sure to deburr all the rings too. I rotated the assembly and looked fine and then today I was putting on the oil pump and noticed that there is some light scratches on the cylinder walls. I can't feel then at all I'm not sure if there wasn't enough oil in the bores or if I rotated the assembly too much but tomorrow I'm going to remove all the pistons and make sure the rings are all deburred please lmk what you guys think anything helps.
