  1. What are YOU basing this on? I have a PowerFC in my car and it runs/idles/sounds/smells and tastes like a standard ECU. Most experienced tuners should have a PowerFC running as smooth and as a standard ECU. Trent has confirmed there is no more time needed than a Nistune remap. My advice is speak to the person who will be tuning the car, different tuners like different ecu's... We are blessed with this forum and the feedback we get from members' experiences. Stick to the most recommended workshops and you should be fine, do what's convenient for YOU.... Just my 2c.....
  2. Yeah mate thought you were Nick R. Similar cars with similar names... That is sad to hear, thought Nick R would have sorted his car by now. I know Peter aswell, he pretty much sold the car after getting it back and was not confident with reliability on the track so sold it... Sad to hear that car is also in the shop in bits.... Oh well, seems like your a happy chappy now, unfortunate you had to go through the painful and expensive excercise....
  3. Nice car!!!! What wheels are those?? Look similar to Do Luck Double six's....
  4. Sorry to hear Nick, it's good to see the car is finally almost sorted. Told you you should have bought my car!!!! Would have saved a lot of heart ache and pain (AND MONEY!!!) Glad you're keeping it. Bring it around one day when you get a chance, would like to see how she goes now... Cheers, Jack
  5. LOL, we're almost through winter, look forward to when the warmer weather arrives and I'll fire her up. Some nice cars shown here, love the 'tattoed' R33.....very unique indeed...
  6. Nice work!!! At least yours is a genuine series 3!!!! Looks neat mate, clean and simple.... Some very nice shots aswell, especially the first pic, heaps of lighting considering it's late at night....
  7. Don't be hard on yourself mate, it looks HORN at the moment. Practicing at some of the worlds best tracks??? Can't beat that. Give us a hoy when you're back in town....
  8. Makes me feel not that bad after spending a squillion $$ on the damn thing!!!! Pity I've only done about 500km's in it in the last 2 years..... While I'm at it here's a few vids of it in action... Chasing down Snowman and Aaron34 at Sandown - Oooopsie... And having some fun at Calder with some Ferraris.. Haven't been on the track for over 2 years now, them were the days!!!! Too much bragging, seems like this thread has now become my build thread....
  9. This car has too much history, would never part with it Troy if I were you. Remember the very first time I saw it at a Winton fun day many moons ago.... It hitched a ride with me back to Melbourne, didn't look healthy at all... Ahhhh the memories.... Very much look forward to seeing it back out at the track, can expect some very decent times.... for a RWD.... C'mon!!! Get it back out there!!!!
  10. Cheers for the comments all. Must thank Jarrod (R32big_boy) for the above photos, they came out fantastic, similar to something you'd see on a car brochure!! Bonnet was bought from Unique Autosports about 5 years ago and soon after became obsolete. It wasn't too bad to fit but spent quite a few more bucks to get it to look the way it is now... Here's a few more still pics... Anyway, enough of bragging, put up a pic of your car NickR33, I remember it when ph1 had that car when I first joined the forums (8 years ago), it was the best R33 GT-R around at the time.... It still looks just as good as the day he had it....
  11. WOW!!! Never seen a 33/34 Bee R before, looks very unique... Did you buy it like that or did you build it??
  12. Very nice indeed, that black 33 looks quite serious.. Very neat 32's aswell, I'm a big believer in less is best.... Nice work...
  13. You have one very nice 34... Blue with white 19'' te37's looks trick... Any bigger pics? My car ain't anything special, but I might aswell fly the R33 flag! Pics coming...
  14. Put up a pic of yours!!!! Surely he will change his mind... Very unique car by the way, love the dedication and patience....
  15. Is that your 34 in your avatar??
  16. Marcus!!! How you been? long time no see. Welcome to the club, although I've done around 600kms in 2 years.... You have one of the cleanest, well modded 32 GT-R's around, and it's an Aussie delivered one too!!! Worth good dollars that's for sure....
  17. Unbelievable!!! Congrats to both, that is just insane... What tyres were these cars running???
  18. Not desperate to sell, but if someone came along with the right kind of money I may bring myself to part with it....
  19. I guess you have to be happy at the end of the day but for me if a car that's already built and had all the money spent on it with proven results at the track, how can it get better than that??? Personally there's no substitute for experience and if the car has been built by a reputable workshop it's worth every cent... Again my 2c of course....
  20. Standard 33 GT-R brembos will be at OK if you have less than 300rwks and doing 3 lap sprints (in a 33 GT-R), although you would have to have decent aftermarket slotted rotors, decent pads and decent fluid with decent braided lines. You'd want to make sure you inspect them thoroughly and bleed them before each track day aswell....
  21. So realistically that brings you to 40k and you haven't touched on engine/ancillaries/labour etc.... Makes these 55k well setup cars a bargain in my opinion. Trust me when I say it will cost you double that if you were to build one from scratch when you want to be at the pointy end of the field.... Just my 2c...
  22. Vid of the 1:16 is up http://www.youtube.com/user/Adz32?feature=...u/0/g3VqVdSFjdk
