  1. Thats correct, got the whole front (bonnet/guards/front bar) resprayed and decided to paint the lip for a change. Fitted the aerocatch bonnet pins aswell. The front of my car was hammered from 2 years of track days, had to replace the windscreen aswell. While at the panel beaters got the Ganador mirrors fitted and painted, aswell as the side skirts, rear bar and rear spats. Picked it up a day before the show'n'shine as shown in the pics above. I can say I'm very happy with the way it looks lately and dreading taking it back out on the track....
  2. LOL, thanks mate... Yep Alcons all round, and I'm upgrading aswell... I know, I've got problems... Thanks for all the comments guys!!!! Pity I've only driven it three times in the last 12 months... Brockas - Noticed you have Alcons aswell, which model/size are they???
  3. Nur33 - Looks the goods, and looking at that engine bay I'm assuming she's got some punch. Those front air ducts where the indicators sit and the Nismo ZTUNE style bonnet are similar styling mods to my car. While I'm at it might aswell post up mine....
  4. Looks tuff!!!! Perfect example of less is best. Can see a few subtle mods that show this must be a track car??? Either way very tastefully done, thumbs up...
  5. Nice work Matt, you managed to get your hands on a set of Tein RS's. You won't be dissapointed once Racepace rebuilds/re-valves and customizes them. They will truely transform your car's handling while feeling very comfy and not rattle your teeth out...
  6. Nice work Al, till this day would have to be one of the best R33 GTS-T's I know of. Well modded and very very clean. Shame about the roo, damage doesn't look too bad though.
  7. Not sure on exact track times but this car is very similar to another forum member's car (BBGTR). Built almost identical to BBGTR's R32GT-R and you can check out his member profile for times... Click here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/BBGTR-m21259.html Now I'm not saying the car above has done the exact same times but if Archie was a frequent track junkie (like BBGTR) they would be on par with eachother... Hope that helps....
  8. WOW, one of the cleanest and well modded 32 GTR's in Aus. I can definetly vouch for this car, it looks like new and can pull some very respectable times on the track. Good luck with the sale Archie, but I hope you keep it!!!!
  9. Can't belive it either... Unbelievable car at an unbelievable price....
  10. Ash - it was illegal when I first started in the towing industry back in 1993. Looks like the laws have changed..... I'd say a phone call to vicroads would be the best bet.
  11. Stan, there is a reason why Matt's gone about his build the way he has. His biggest mistake was taking the Racepace GT-R for a drive. He loved not only the power but the way it drove, so quiet and smooth. Now if you wanted the same performance as the Racepace GT-R would you be telling Ben what to use or not use during the build? Who cares what is used as long as the result is the same. You want to drive the car and experience the same result. I would have done exactly what Matt did for this build (money permitting), no need to question or dispute Ben's decisions, the results speak for themselves...
  12. Well done Matt, you definetly have the ultimate street/circuit GT-R, possibly one of the best in the world. Your 'no cutting corners' attitude and Racepace's knowledge, experience and very high build quality standards has truly yielded an impecable result. A car that drives and sounds similar to a standard GT-R with that power curve is the difference between this car and most other GT-R's running similar power. A TRULY AMAZING CAR!!!! P.S When can I go for a ride????
  13. Well done Duncan, as I said on the day 1:48's is extremely quick for a car with so many limitations, you would have been pushing it to the limit that's for sure. Looks like you didn't get a good run after the vibration appeared, oh well gotta be ecstatic with the result anyway. Was nice to meet you and Kel!!! Stu's effort is phenomenal, 1:43.0 with a standard radiator!!!!! Surely there would have been only one lap of full throttle, amazing result regardless....
  14. And how accurate would you say this comparison is?? I don't see the point of comparing power figures of different cars on different dynos on different days on different rubber on different tyre pressures ....... shall I go on???? I have done a back to back test on my car on the same dyno with the same mods on the same tyres on the same tyre pressures but not the same day, although temperatures were not that different... I HAD T517's (8cm) ON MY CAR, I NOW HAVE GARRETT -5's (actually 4 years now.) My aim is for response AND power for circuit and street use... Does that mean that its the be all end all of setups?? NO, but its good enough in my eyes and couldn't give a FARK what anyone else thinks. So in other words what may be good for you may not be good for everybody else.... Oh and the garrett vs hks debate is always a cracker.... Close thread????
  15. Don't bother with anything but the Racetech RT4009W (W stands for wide, which is 50mm wider than standard). I've tried them all, I'm 6'5'' 110kg's, the only other seat I could get in was the Cobra Suzuka. Installed it and couldn't shut the door properly as the wings of the seat hit the door trim. So took it back out, got my money back and put the Racetech in, PERFECT. Don't bother with Sparco, very slim chance of getting in one (pardon the pun). Velo is no good either. Here's the link.. http://www.racetech.co.nz/products.php?name=Seats/RT4009.htm I guess you could go for the RT4000, it has less thigh support and would be easier getting in and out the car. http://www.racetech.co.nz/products.php?name=Seats/RT4000.htm Oh, and I had to get a quick release steering wheel too, much easier getting in and out... Hope that helps...
  16. Looks like Trevor Voss' old car, was a nasty wack at Dandenong Rd corner at Sandown... Cut & shut FTW!!
  17. Put me down Brandon, good excuse to pull the cover off and charge up the battery... Haven't driven it for over 3 months, looking forward to it, should be a great day...
  18. If I didn't have a christening to go to I would have been seriously tempted!!!! Good luck.....
  19. Long time no see Andrew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great vid, that track looks like a gokart track, nice work with the S13... I don't blame the guy driving the GT-R in not going flat out, seems like it had street tyres... Nice work.... Jack
  20. Errr, that is far from the truth... RE01R's are not a semi comp tyre and cannot be compared to RE55's. RE55's are in a different league... And yes, I've been to the track with both...
  21. I'd consider anything over 60k. Many people ask if its for sale and when I tell them how much I'm willing to let it go for i can tell by their look on their face as to say 'your dreaming'. I'm thinking the same if they think they're getting it for anything less.... Everything is for sale, its just how much the owner is willing to let it go for....
  22. Speak to Snowy, he's tried both, RE55's are what he uses, and he's very quick around Sandown! Winton hey, 35's to 36's no problem...
  23. Fark dude, on shitty R888's aswell! Do yourself a favour and get a brand new set of RE55's, you won't look back. I know of only one other standard turboed GTR to get in the 22's, and he's a maniac behind the wheel.
  24. No way! I thought I knew the car, I sourced those rims for him when he bought it. What a small world, bumped into Peter a week ago and hadn't seen him for over a year. Didn't know he sold the car until he told me last week. So is it still running standard turbos? Very impressive time to say the least...
  25. Well done Andrew on the FTD, not far now from getting a teen... Good to see Ben (thebuzz) having a crack, 1:23's an outstanding result for your first time there, must have been the DT we did a year (or 2) ago. Flying fridge, 1:22 is very quick aswell, have you been to many track days? Trying to remember if I'v seen your car out on track days... And a HUUUUGE congrats to Tim in the little 32 GTS-T, 1:25 on street tyres puts quite a few other RWD cars to shame, obviously no FEAR in keeping the thing fully tapped.... Oh how I miss going to the track...
