  1. What rims have you chosen to buy??
  2. I run a 265 RE55 on a 10.5 inch rim and its perfect. You will have no problem running this combination...
  3. I convinced my tuner to buy the VIPEC. He said that if it had weighed 50 grams less it would have been COMPLETELY useless... Paul, you gotta put it to rest, you have to understand that the VIPEC isn't for everybody. Don't take it personally....
  4. I don't think insurance is an issue for Aaron, he's been to countless track days here in Aus with the R34. Plus it would smash the GT3...
  5. 32's or nothing.....
  6. Exactly. Hence why its standard issue in the ZTUNE...
  7. Fark thats insane. Seems like you had that thing tapped on all the corners!!!! Looks like a quick little car, but that Porsche dissapeared rather quickly. If only you were in your car....
  8. Nothing wrong with that Andrew, I have a super coppermix twin plate and must say its the best clutch I've had in regards too how light it is on the leg and has quite a bit of give on taking off. It's not a ON/Off sort of clutch that jerks or stalls if not given heaps of revs.. Other clutches I have used are Nismo G-MAX twin plate, Exedy twin plate and OS twin plate. Oh, and my car did see the track quite a bit, handling 350rwkws no problem....
  9. Pirrelli PZERO Corsa 265/35/18 for the street, awesome semi comp tyre thats quiet and heaps of grip. Not cheap though.. RE55S SR2 265/35/18 for the track, monsterous amount of grip, not as quiet as the Pirellis and quite annoying for street use. Have a little more grip than the Pirellis on the track... Much cheaper than Pirellis aswell... Oh, car is a R33 GT-R with around 350rwkw that very responsive, extensive suspension and brake mods too....
  10. I would allow for an hour to drive to Geelong from Tullamarine during off peak times. Peak hour allow another 20 minutes or so....
  11. Nope, Maserati club was at Winton today. I thing it was a holden/ford club day where 1:30's is fast...
  12. Seems Newton has set the bar for RWD cars at Sandown. He did a 1:19.6 on his second lap of a total of 5, after he was black flagged for noise. He reckons there is at least another second in it...
  13. Nope, not me. I sold my CE28N's about 6 months ago. Plus I have Alcons not AP's. The car mentioned belongs to another Jack, with titanium coloured 19x10.5's and 6pot AP's...
  14. Ah, how can I forget that day. Busted 3 out of the 4 cars I drove. At least they went reasonably quick!! Fark I haven't been to Winton in over 2 and half years. That little 32 would be so much fun to drive...
  15. Ah Troy, just throw me the keys, I'll let you know how deep into the 35's I get. You know you want to...
  16. It started last night, watched the first hour.. Those lemans cars make the porkas ferraris and corvettes look very ordinary....
  17. Ah, my bad, couldn't tell from the pics I assumed they were fixed/solid mounted. Have only seen strap drive in the AP range, quite a few GTR's here in VIC run them. Then again there are no hardcore race GTR's down here.. Have you decided on what pads you're going to use?
  18. No full floating/strap drive?
  19. Yep, they sure are. We weighed them, the AP's were 412grams and the Alcon's were 390grams...
  20. OK, so any specs? Where are they made? Cost?? LOL at Daz's SMS....
  21. Faaark, that's too similar to mine!!! Do you know the owner of the car???
  22. Any specs on the shaft? Can't quite read the sticker but I'm assuming that it's not a ACPT/Trust shaft. How much does it weigh??? Very nice indeed...
  23. Neil's on the money, the amount of heat emmitted from the engine, gearbox and rear diff during racing conditions is astounding. Covering the whole underside of the car would creat serious heat issues. I'd say having a front diffuser/undertray would suffice, can't really be a bad thing could it?? And Beer Baron is right too, having a completely flat undertray is no good, I've seen a few diffusers on race cars and they all have the centre cavity. Why does it have to be there? NO IDEA!!!! I'm sure Roy knows all the technical information on why it works, so c'mon Troy, enlighten us!
  24. NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Couldn't you just jump start it get it scrutineered and then jump start it again and line up in the dummy grid?? Sux big time, oh well, there's always next time....
  25. Well I didn't get any rescue calls yesterday so I'm assuming all is good. So the new yokies are the go are they? How do they compare in price and performance???
