  1. Fark thats a nice collection you've got there!!!! Those brembos look serious.... Couldn't help my self, picked up a set of brakes my self today... Will upload pics tomorrow....
  2. Nah, don't know anybody that makes hats and adaptors, maybe ask Roy... Nah not RB30, same as before but a little more powerful and a little more responsive. I know what you mean, hence why I haven't been to the track since the tidy up, looking at building a track only car... *Awaits pics*
  3. That's awesome Steve, your cas is going to be an animal when it's finished considering all the goodies you have gathered. Pics of fronts when you get them back OR BAN!! Have you got the hats and adaptors made up yet? TE37's or LMGT4's would be the go for these big f@*#ers... Not much happening with my car, has had the front resprayed and a new motor put in it that has done 200 street k's. Sitting under a cover at the moment, looking at building a dedicated track car, similar to what I have now but 250kgs lighter and not as shiny. Oh, and Troy (ylwgtr2), nice brakes!!
  4. Hey Steve, are they enduro calipers that accomodate a 35mm thick rotor??? Where did you score them from? Pure porn...............
  5. You have no problems in regards to who's fault it is. Vic law states you should give way to on coming traffic, he didn't, regardless of whether you ran the red or not.. Obviously you win. Take it to Micolour....
  6. Troy, just watching that vid shows you are almost as quick through corners, if it wasn't for your car being so unstable I'd say you'd have him. Although that car has some decent grunt and bugger all weight. Credit to the owner of the datto, 1:20 flat is quite impressive. I remember that car having a big 'Nizpro Turbocharging' sticker on it, so I'd say it would be very sorted power wise.....
  7. There is no way I'm stripping my car for weight. I just can't bring myself to tracking it anymore after I had the whole front end resprayed and new windscreen put in. So its time to move on, start on a new project....
  8. I bought the bonnet from Unique Autosports in Sydney, but apparently they're not available anymore..
  9. Well kudos to you guys getting out there and having a go. At the end of the day its all about getting out there and having some fun in a safe and controlled environment. Budget should not interfere with the fun factor, and ofcourse a little competition wouldn't go astray! It's what keeps us on our toes! I personally would like to see how a car like mine minus 300kgs would go... I guess we'll find out sooner or later...
  10. WOW, this thread has really fired up! It seems like the RWD crew are turning on eachother... And on the topic of cost of GTR's vs IPRA cars, in the latest Unique Cars magazine there is a IPRA Datsun 120y for 25k, it had an SR in it but considering you can find a donor car down by the creek for nothing it doesn't seem all that cheap. I'd be the first to admit that my car has had heaps of money spent on it, but how else are you going to get a car of that size and weight to go faster than most race cars? And that is with a hack like me driving it!!! If you have a budget of 10k for a track car of course it's going to be 10 or more seconds slower. Seems like there is a lot of hatred shown to us guys, but lets be realistic. Anyway, this might cheer up you RWD guys.
  11. Adz, your car is exceptional and there is no doubt you'll join the 'teen club' at Sandown. Especially that you have talent. Kudos to Ben and yourself for building a monster track car... When you heading out next?
  12. Tell me more! Troy, I admire your persistence, so I'll make the deal more realistic. I'll supply you 5 slabs of beer of your choice if you punch out a sub 1:21 in the silver bullet. I will be stoked for you and we can enjoy a drink or two in celebration. By the way, what is the quickest RWD Nissan as far as club track days go? Is it Lee Wilson from AVO? I'm sure you have your sights on somebody... Oh and re 'dedicated track car', i will say no more... for now...
  13. Troy, get off the turps! The day your car goes quicker than 1:18.7 is the day I'll give you 40k for it. On a serious note when are you coming back to Melb to punch out a 1:21 at Sandown?
  14. Roy hit it on the head. These cars weigh half of what a GTR weighs, my car with me in it (I weigh 110kg's ) is over 1700kgs. Plus these guys have much more experience than us amatuers. Now what if you strip a couple hundred kilos out my car? Hello 16's at Sandown and 43's at PI. Good example is the Markov GTR, infact weekend before last he posted a 1:14 on full slicks!!!!! That's just crazy... mmm, might have to build a 'light' GTR track car.....
  15. Nice vids Andrew, car looks quite strong. I'd say better conditions and more commitment will see you in the teens. Oh, and fresh tyres will help too....
  16. Bought the Aerocatch bonnet pins from Revolution Racegear (lockable version) for $110. Got my panel beater to install them as the car was there getting the front resprayed, track days had the whole front sandblasted, including windscreen... They are much better than the old traditional bonnet pin style, you can hardly tell they are there. Ideal for a street car, less noticeable....
  17. Oh, and looks like Andrew got his fastest time of the day in the last session. Well done....
  18. Dean Taylor did a 1:22.0!!!!!! Thats an awesome effort. BBGTR was looking very strong out of the last corner, and boy does she let out some flames.....
  19. Nick, the RE's are the same as the RA's except for height adjustment from the bottom of the shock. Don't kid yourself, Ben IS the man. You won't look back...
  20. Nah not that car, the car I'm talking about is owned by MSR Motorsports, but Robbie from Creatd took it to a meet in Adelaide where it ran 10.50. I remember it being on fullboost a couple of years ago.
  21. A friend of mine has a black r33 gtst that ran a 10.4 on a standard gearbox (with slicks). It had big created motorsport stickers on the side of it and was on fullboost.com.au a few years back. Will see if I can dig up the article....
