  3. What for?? Does he need a tow??? I never said the vipec couldn't run a street car better than a powerfc. I'm asking how does the car run better with the vipec??? In what way??? And my questions still haven't been answered...
  4. So I guess I'm being ignored now.. Just read Guilt toy's thread, wow my head hurts. Seems like there's a lot of dicking around to get it to work. At that price I say its an awesome replacement for an Autronic, and if you have heaps of time on your hands and need the all the addons... Can't see how its more superior to the powerfc besides the addon features. Powerfc is much easier and quicker.... *suit's back on*

  6. Ouch, only went for the double layer... Your right, I have no idea about closed hoops, data bogging and all the other super dooper features. All I know is that my beloved PowerFC has done me proud for the past 6 years and never had a problem. I even know how to install and remove it!!! Can you plug the Vipec in and off you go?? Or do you have to install other stuff?? You shouldn't bag my mentality, remember, it's nice to be nice.... *Puts on quad layer*
  7. One thing I don't understand is what's with all the after sales support, firmware ugrades yiadda yiadda yiadda. What happened to bying a computer pluging it in tuning and driving off??? Sounds like the developers/designers anticipating people getting into a pickle installing and tuning these ECU's.... Don't flame me, just sounds like a lot of fiddling for a supposedly plug'n'play ecu... *Puts flame suit on and waits for DIRTgarage and co assault*
  8. One important question, what do you want to use the car for?? Dyno queen? Drag? 800HP will be useless on the street.. If you want to use it on the street then stick to the original plan of 500hp. Ugrade to larger twins (-7's or -5's) and keep it simple... My 2c...

  11. There's nothing unusual with the results you are achieving, if I understand correctly you are getting 270rwks on 15psi with a safe tune with your -7s on a standard bottom end. I don't see what the fuss is all about. It's very rare you'll see 330rwkws with GTSS's/-7s, not on a standard motor anyway, same as getting 380rwkw with -5's. I'd say 300-310rwks for -7's and 340-350rwkws for -5's is more realistic (both using min. 20 psi) Now to get back on topic i'd recommend the -5's, seems like your more interested in the big rush rather than responsive linear power that runs out of puff up top...

  13. Where can we find these documents??? I've never come across any hiccups or gremlins with the powerfc, nor have i heard anything from people in regards to this. There's no doubt the vipec is a capable ecu with all the fancy hooha, but i guess its still fresh and needs a few years to prove itself... In this case i don't see why the powerfc should be ditched for the vipec where a simple afm upgrade will suffice. Don't you people realise that Ash is always right!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. Hey Lee, I definetly had the 8cm version and most power i made with the t517z turbos was 365rwkws... Seeing your car at the show and shine with the BFT (big fu(koff turbo) i thought this car has come along way since i last saw it... At the end of the day it something you had to try and its not the end of the world, if your not happy with the lag swap it for a smaller turbo and you should still have the same peak power but shitloads more midrange... And remember dynos are tuning tools..... all dynos are different.... Cheers, Jack
