  5. Yes, GTR's use Brembo's, Gtst's don't...
  6. I can tell you that TE37's and LMGT4's have larger inner wheel diameter (clearance) than a CE28's and RE30's... Oh I should state that's in the 18 inch sizes, not sure about 17's...
  7. When it comes to brakes there's no cheap option, you get what you pay for. I have the Alcon kit (front&rear) supplied by PWR, have never looked back... Awesome performance for the track, and subtle for the street. Hope that helps...
  8. eerr, that's not total playing time, that's just USMC...
  9. Righteo, who's been spying on me???
  10. I'm out, I've retired.... (<----See avatar!!!)
  11. Just a quick question, how much weight does the dynamat sound deadening (inner and outer door skin) add to each door?? Rough estimate would be great. And also how much would it cost to get each door done as per your tutorial (rough price). PM me if necessary.. Cheers.
  12. The different days are held by different car clubs and usually have a slightly different format. As long as you have a L2S cams licence and a member of a cams affiliated club (e.g SAUVIC) you can attend any of these days..
  13. WOW!! Look at all the PI days!!! I'm excited...
  14. I have 3 items for sale: 1. R33 GTR Series 3 gearbox, has stronger synchros than series 1&2, has been pulled apart, checked by professional gearbox rebuilder, in 'as new' condition. This has been converted to accomodate for a push type clutch, but can be changed back to pull type. Please specify when purchasing. It also has fresh redline oil (not cheap) and has done 500kms. Price $1900 ono 2. R32 GTR gearbox has been pulled apart inspected and had new bearings installed, in excellent condition. Has no oil and has not been installed in car since pulled apart. Price $1650 ono Note: Both gearboxes have transfer cases attached and can be inspected/picked up from Racepace Motorsport in Bayswatrer (Melb). 3. Exedy twin plate clutch (push type) to suit R32 GTR or R33 GTR gearbox that has been converted to push type, in very good condition has plenty of life still in it. This clutch supported 350rwkw reliably for the last 2 years and has never slipped. I'd say it has done about 5-6000 kms with no 'hard launches'. Price $1100 ono Post here or PM if interested. Can ship interstate at buyers expense. Cheers, Jack
  15. Unfortunately I was working Saturday morning hence why the car rocked up on the back of the truck. I would never strip the car out, i won't be able to enjoy it on the street then. If I wanted a race car I would have built one.. My 2c on proposed event: - Roy has a valid point, street cars should have original body panels (excl. bonnet/bars/wing), although they should also have an interior and a/c, cage optional. Tyre should be whatever the rules allow, if you want to be competitive then street tyres are obviously not a wise choice, if you can't afford semis well that's bad luck. - No shit box challenge!!! Last thing we need is $1000 barges with engines that will most likely 'disassemble' themselves leaving oil and bits on the track. - Tyre rules will make or break the event, there should be a strict policy, I reckon Snowman is on the money.
  16. Well done Russ and Mark, sub 1 min at Tsukuba is flying, especially being there for the first time.. Time attack event would be awesome, count me in. And with the classes there should be a 'street class', where full trimmed road registered cars can compete, we have no chance against the likes of giant!!!!
  17. Hey Bec, did you receive mine??
  18. What's with the one hand turn on the last corner with the other hand on the gear stick?? You did it on both laps!!! Awesome driving, that's a very quick time considering how many times you've been there...
  19. LOL, as if anyone will get close to Benno's times...pppffftttt (even with low mounts) Not even the Stig....
  20. Interesting discussion with some very useful information. I can say that I have had the ABS kick in at Calder, I'm doing about 255km/h before mashing the pedal at the 200m mark. I have the Alcon kit front and rear with Ferodo DS3000 pads, so I'm not surprised. And Roy, you get to 290km/h at Calder and Sandown???? DAAAAMNNNN THAT'S FLYING!!!!!
  21. In what way?? Have you seen someone modify the VR38 yet?? And what makes you say an inline motor is better than a V engine?? A 'V' engine is much stronger and stiffer than an inline engine... Can you back up your comments with facts??? It be appreciated muchly from you....
  22. Congrats Ni and Josie!!!!! Hope mum and baby are doing well.... Haven't seen you guys in ages.. So what car you got these days?? From memory you change it every month....
