  1. Ash is right, unless you mount the extinguisher near your handbrake or on your door trim it will be very hard to grab it once strapped in tight. I'd want to be out of the seat if I were trying to put a fire out...
  2. Hy Ant, what's your previous best at Sandown?
  3. Bummer, so I guess my self tapers into the floor won't cut it... Might have to use some race tape aswell...
  4. Well done Ant, good to see the car all done and ready for some track action. Saw the cam covers at Racepace last week and the pics here don't do them justice. Look forward to seeing what the beast can do now at the track... So u in for Sandown on July 10?
  5. Don't need these anymore, so up for sale they go.. First up is a Nismo 320km dash to suit R34 GT-R, not sure if it will fit GT-T. It's black in colour, and is in very good condition as it only has 3000km on it. PICS: PRICE: $630 ono Next up is a set of HKS cams to suit R34 GT-R only, exhaust cam is different to R32/33 GT-R's. They are 256 duration with 8.7mm lift so they drop straight in without modifying the head. In excellent condition. PICS: PRICE: $475 ono Lastly I have a full set of cam covers including front cover from a R34 GT-R, will suit R32 and R33 GT-R's. Has minor marks on them, will need a repaint if you're super fussy otherwise will look great in any engine bay. Check out pics for condition. PRICE: $450 ono All parts are located in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, but willing to post interstate at buyer's expense. PM or reply here if interested. Cheers, Jack
  6. As per forum rules post a price, otherwise a moderator will lock/delete the thread....
  7. Good to see you boys had some fun, while it lasted. Hope to see guys sort the cars out for Sandown, July 10. So Richo, I'm assuming some replacement lower control arms and wheels are all that's needed to get back out there? Rotten luck mate.....
  8. LOL, the Evo is no where near as quick as the GT-R in a straiight line, although corner speed should not be too far off... I'd be happy with a low 1:23....
  9. ENTERED. Look forward to this one.
  10. Yeah but John, you're a freak! Guys on semi comps are struggling to do the times your doing on street tyres. Have fun out there guys, anyone doing Sandown July 10 with wrx club?
  11. Didn't you get a bigger turbo? I thought you were chasing 250rwkws+????
  12. Can only imagine what the difference would have been with your previous setup, much more response than what you have now so your corner exit would have been much better. I say go the e85, hopefully it will wake it up in the lower rev range....
  13. BUMP, awesome brakes here for any serious GT-R....
  14. Lol, goes to show my lack of talent, I guess theres a 34 in it after all......
  15. Second last lap of the day, wasn't the fastest but Natsoft shows it as a 1:35.9. Notice around the 1:20 mark the wheelspin from the faulty ACD not giving me drive at the front wheels. If only I had a clear run.....
  16. Serious? I thought it would take more than that to keep up with your car in a straight line, what power is Blaise running? I'd say there might be a 1:22 in it at Sandown the way my car is at the moment, although I don't know how it will handle the ripple strip abuse.....
  17. Nice vid Richo, what software program you using to sync video with gps data?
  18. Nice vid there Troy, time to get rid of the seat rail and look at getting the seat solid mounted to the floor. I had a Bride seat rail in the GTR and although it didn't slop around like yours it did have a litlle play in it.... Fark that thing sounds insane, good to see your punting the thing and getting more needed seat time....
  19. Yeah good point, but it does lack top end power, will see next month as I'm thinking of entering the WRX round at Sandown... You can talk, doing sub 1:40's on street tyres in a rwd car is very impressive, same goes to ssxRicho, you guys drove the wheels off that thing, on standard brakes!!
  20. LOL, not at all mate, just happened to be good timing to attend this trackday at Winton... Well what a day! Was worried about the weather but it turned out to be a nice sunny day, until the clouds came in at about 1pm and the temperature dropped considerably, rain held off though. Was good to catch up with Troy, Matt (femno) and crew, Martin (emts) and John (ssxRicho). Congrats to all as I'm sure everybody got a PB today. Was quite anxious really to see how the Emo would go, especially since I've only driven it around the block near my house as it isn't registered, so today was a day to get out there and drive the car in anger for the first time. After spending quite a bit of time in the last 3 weeks getting the car ready it was time to see what it could do. To say I'm impressed is an understatement. I was aiming just to get used to the car as I have never driven an Emo before, so would have been happy with a 1:38. So to end up with a 1:35.5 I guess I could not ask for more, especially since the car has a standard motor with standard turbo running 219awkws on e85. I wanted to concentrate on the handling so some Tein Ra's were thrown at it together with a Whiteline rear sway bar. Setup the wheel alignment settings and heights and that's pretty much it. Got some 2 piece project mu used rotors and some new pads and the brakes didn't miss a beat all day. In all seriousness for the money I've spent it's much better value than what I've spent on the GT-R. Emo's are highly under estimated and are a lot of fun around a track like Winton. I do suspect though at Sandown it won't come near the GT-R, power falls over after 6500rpm. All in all a fantastic little car and look forward to seeing how far I can push it with current mods...
