  1. I get heaps of people asking me to take it, although I'm reluctant coz of the fact that its not setup for drag and I'm sure I will break the gearbox. I did a 11.6/119mph with the T517Z turbo setup (315rwkw) with Hankook street tyres back in 2004, so with current setup 350rwkw and semi comps it should be good for a low 11... We'll see, if I do decide to go, there will be no 7500rpm side step clutch launches, as I value the gearbox and clutch, I would be more interested in what mph it would run....
  2. I was there, there were 3 GTR's, a silver 33 which done a 12.020/114mph, a white 33 with a 12.6/109mph and a bayside blue 34 (plates GTRR) with a 12.3/113mph.. Two gtst's in the 14's and the usual v8's vl's etc... No Brisby though..
  3. Damn, why couldn't something like this happen in Victoria!!! Is this a C3 licence event?? Looks very interesting...
  4. Happy Birthday James!!! Hope you have a great one!!!
  5. LOL, not sure if the dyno can handle 6.5 tonne... Wouldn't have much power but the torque figure should be impressive!!!
  6. It's on a Saturday... Will try come down for a look in the truck if I'm in the area.... Always wanted to put my car on a 4wd dyno to see the difference...
  7. That's a shame, saw your car at Protek today... What brakes you upgrading to??
  8. Looks like us Mexicans are lucky when it comes to oil surge.. My car had a standard sump, although it did have a built motor from Racepace. Even 350rwkws, RE55S tyres, decent brakes and suspension at the time, again with 1 litre overfill on a standard sump.. But I would recommend getting some sort of sump baffles if you were rebuilding your engine, cheap insurance.... And Roy, stop grovelling on about your RWD 2 Litre and start putting out some numbers!!!
  9. Paul, you do get around!!!! Opportunity of a lifetime, well done...
  10. WOW!!! I thought you guys were best friends.... Why doesn't the head bolt straight up to the bottem end Matt?? mmmm RB30!!! Cheater!!! Nick, bring the beast to PI and put Matt in his place...
  11. Congrats James, if anyone desrves that job its you!! Just don't forget me when/if one of these break down...
  12. In one session you'd get 1 warm up lap, 3 flying laps, 1 cool down lap. Usually you'd get around 5-6 sessions including practice in the morning.. Providing there are no incidents then usually about 5 sessions...
  13. Nice one Greg!!! those cars look familiar...
  14. Haha Racetrace, I luv it... Bris, your car will be very competitive with the future mods, watch out Matt/Ray/Dane!!!! Scotsman - your dangerous..
  15. That's not a series 3 lip...
  16. Yeah wouldn't mind going back to Sandown, but really want these fresh tyres for PI... Plus I don't think I will go much faster at Sandown.. Will come and watch though... Chasing sub 20's Andrew??
  17. My original diff wore out, it was turning the inside tyre on the slow corners at corner exit. I ended up putting in an ATS 2-way, then it became a drift machine. Got the front transfer case modified and now it works great. The only downside is when driving around at slow speed the rear end vibrates from the inside tyre turning at the same rate as the other, similar to a locker. Not that noticeable on street tyres... Front diff is stock...
  18. That's exactly what I am running, bronze in colour aswell.. Although I'm running 285/30/18 RE55S, as there are no 265's in the country... What are the Dunlop's worth in 265's??? Here in Melb they want around $600 a tyre!!
  19. Hey Dane, I bought some from a bolt shop in Coburg, Newlands Rd. I had to get longer ones for my sparco quick release, they have them in any size and length... Have you got any at all?? I might have some left over...
  20. FLYING HIGH!!!
  21. You could also go for the Bridgestone RE55S which come in 245/40/18 if you need to go wider on your current rims. I've heard on numerous occasions 18x10.5 is too wide for a 32GTR, but I guess if you roll the guards and run shit loads of neg camber it may be possible.
  22. I'm out, not going to PI tomorrow, don't wanna drive all the way out there to watch my tyres (and myself) melt from the 38 degree heat. No chance for PB's.. So looks like I'll have to wait till the WRX round next month.
  23. Happy Birthday Matt!!! Hope you've had a good one, drink up tomorrow night!!!
