  1. The trust cooler that fits BCNR33 is mounted on the driver's side. In saying that they do not allow fitment with stock blow off valves, they are designed for cars with Trust Type-R single blowoff valve.. I know this as I tried fitting it and realised there is no room for both stock blow off valves and oil cooler core. The instructions also show a pic of a trust type-r blowoff valve in place of the stock ones... Basically you will have to get it modified and custom fitted to retain standard blowoff valves, definetly go see Ray (SXR), he'll be able to sort it out for you....
  2. Sorry to hear Neil, good thing you came out unscathed... Its quite dangerous towing a big car like a GTR on hired trailers, most of them are rated at 1200kg towing capacity, and having a 1600kg GTR on it is quite risky. That aside it makes life easier if you have quite a large tow vehicle such as a 4wd to stop the trailer pushing the car down hills.. You'd be surprised how many incidents like this I come across.....
  3. Roy - no doubt about it, these GTR's have had quite a bit of coin spent on them, but has John's car been a budget build-up??? I guess if someone like me owned a workshop it wouldn't have cost me as much as it has.. John's car also has a 'fully built engine', 'fully adjustable suspension', 'funny diff' and 'touring car brakes', what I was trying to say is that our cars are registrered and some of them daily driven, where as John's car is a dedicated race car... Do you see any credit in that??? And also I didn't call John's car a cheater car, everyone knows it is!!!
  4. Sorry Ray, no 'mates' that do this.. Best bet would be to get the TNT race transporter which fits 6 cars, not sure on exact pricing but if you want your car to get there in 1 piece without front bars being damaged, this is the go..
  5. Sam's car is a white R32GTR with cage and no interior, does a 1:15 at Sandown, that's flyyyyyyyyyyyyyying Oh, and yes, that's on semi comps, not sure on power output.... just over 400rwkw, i think??
  6. Hey John, no doubt the zed is very quick around the track, I admire your persistence and the fact that your different to others. Its good to see something out there other than a Skyline performing so well... I think the main difference between your car and the GTR's down here in Melb is that they can be daily driven, on the street. Most of us guys haven't stripped out any weight and you know how much of a lard the GTR is..... I guess what I'm sying is that its hard to compare a street GTR to a fully race prepped slot car, and we won't even start talking about tyres!!! Would be great to see how the cars compare on the track if this track day at EC was to eventuate... after all I here EC is a HP track....
  7. This sounds like fun, will have to convince some of the GTR boys to gear up and organise to be there... Obviously John and the boat wil be there?!?!
  8. You better believe it John!!! NSW lacks some quick circuit GTR's, plenty down here in Melbourne Cheers, Jack P.S Times can be found here http://www.racetime.com.au/?event=w0608
  9. From what looked like was going to be a wet day, it stopped raining mid morning which gave enough time for the track to dry up by lunch time... There was plenty of drifto action in the morning sessions but times started to drop considerably in the afternoon... Was my first time at Winton, had a great time untill my car started to sound like a tractor, looks like the frontpipe to turbo studs have streched, allowing exhaust gasses to escape through the engine bay rather than out the exhaust.. Didn't get to do the last two sessions, was convinced a 1:35 was there!!! Ohwell, as they say, THAT'S RACING!! Well done to all the guys out there with PB's, Chris (Scotsman) was driving very hard and reeled off an impressive 1:35.5, and the rwd boys did quite well!! Dane, Ray and Matt posted some great times... Big thanks to Bec, Matt (Mavric), Ryan and Ash in officiating/flagging, without people like you these days won't run as smooth as they do... Highlight would have to be watching ferni's brakes glowing with sparks flying, having no brakes going in to turn 1, car spun off the track heading towards the wall....
  10. Can I take a double bed please for Fri night?? Just myself at this point...
  11. Bring it on!!!!!!! Can't wait to get out there and have some fun, hope it doesn't rain... P.S Thanks Ray for giving me a hand on Sunday, couldn't have done all that work without you!!!
  12. I'll take one, I'd say XXL for me....
  13. Sparkmanv11 - you've been seriously misled, the '2' in your dyno reading sould be replaced with a '1'. That would be more realistic...
  14. Alcon's are doing fine, the rears should be ready in 3 weeks... So what's this upgraded brakes you have??

  24. It was a cold day, but the weather held up pretty well, only a few light showers which didn't really soak the track, except in one session where quite a few people spun.... Wasn't a lot of cars this time, which meant heps of track time and short waiting periods. A few PB's to be had, Aaron with a 1:19.1 maybe quicker in the last session??, Andrew (BBGTR) with a 1:23.5 and myself with a 1:21.5. Snowy posted a 1:22.4 I think, not sure about Matt and Ray... So overall a great day, great to see all the usual SAU Vic members lingering around in the pits aswell.... BRING ON WINTON!!!
