Not sure Ray, but I am hitting fifth gear....
-
Chris - I agree with you totally, I reckon if I take some of the corners as fast as you do, a 1.21 shouldn't be a problem, I'd say I make up a lot of time on the straights.... I think what Troy is trying to get at is when having big power it can be tricky getting out of corners when u plant it, when power comes on hard the car can be unsteady.... Although I didn't have that problem, maybe coz it was turning the inside tyre when exiting.... Oh well, here comes the 2 way LSD!!!! Dane - Well done on the 1.28, great time for your first track day ever.. Wind up the boost next time, there's at least a second there!!!! Matt - Don't worry, it only means your car will be back bigger, better, stronger!!!!! Gotta give Ray a run for his money next time!!!!
-
I must say big congrats to Chris (Scotsman) on a ripper time, a 1.22 on standard turbos is definetly something to brag about. I've got an extra 100rwkws and couldn't beat it!!!! I must say I'm quite pleased with my result, especially for my first time out there, and believe it or not that time was done in the first session?!?! Although I know the car is definetly good for a sub 20, the driver isn't.... at the moment anyway... That back section after the straight is very intimidating, I'm slowing down quite a bit as I'm not confident with flying through there, especially when the wall is about 10 metres away. Maybe I need blinkers like the horses run, what u can't see won't scare you!!!! Good to see the GTR boys (Aaron, Frank, Andrew(BBGTR), and of course Sam Markov!!) have a go, even though the track conditions deteriorated in the second session.... Oh well, there's always next time!! Good on Ray(Blue S15) on punching out the 1.24, ur times keep dropping, that 1.22 is getting closer!!! Well done to Matt (GTTR34), a 1.27 is a great effort, pity about your car sounding like a tractor at the end of the day. Well done to Dane in completing his first track day, believe me it's all down hill from here, financing mods becomes number 1 priority!! And good to see Jarrod and bel25 having some fun out there aswell.... Big thanks to Bec, James and Troy in officiating/marshalling, a lot of people don't realise without people like u, these track days would not run as smooth as they do... And most importantly, WHERE'S THE PICS??????????????
-
Well done to all officials and organisers, put on another great day!!! Unfortunate about the Elfin which decided to cruise around the track while dumping ALL its oil, definetly put a damper on the day.... Times are also up: http://www.racetime.com.au/?event=s0602

GREAT WEEKEND!!!!! Well done to the SAU team for great stand with a variety of cars... Well done to James and Dane for getting trophies... Had a great time, the weather held up pretty well today... Brisby, have u stopped drinking yet???? P.S well done to Leewah for organising the stand!!!!!

BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sub 20's Aaron???
-
Hey guys, looks like ur having fun already!!!! Spewing I can't be there till Saturday, in the mean time look after my car!!!! Must be full of bird shit and dust by now....
-
Your standard seat rails will be useless... Buy the Bride rails to suit your Bride seats, and there will be no problems fitting them.... Can't you buy the rails from where u bought the seats?? If not check out http://www.rmsmotorparts.com.au/ He usually has stock, if not will have to order from Japan... Cheers
-
That's correct, standard sump, Ben (Racepace) assured me it would be OK, as long as oil is at the right level.... Done 3 trackdays, so far so good....
-
Be careful Snowy, don't wanna put 1600kg worth of GTR on a shitty trailer, make sure its half decent... Don't wanna be going up to NSW to recover broken trailer!!!! P.S I'm looking in to it.....
-
GTR 34 - You are looking for the best condition car for bugger all price and to use it for a track car??? U are an idiot, just coz u don't wanna pay 80k for a R34 GTR doesn't mean u can come on here and critisize other peoples cars and what price they are selling them for, if you don't wanna pay the money then f**k off and tell someone who cares... Ricknismo - ur car is worth the money, if I was in the market for buying one I'd seriously consider it.
-
Dane, its a square base in which the side mounts bolt onto and the seat bolts onto the side mounts.. Hope that makes sense..
-
Dane, can't remember, but it's definetly wider than normal... You wont have any probs, especially if u buy the RR side mounts.... Just make sure u got a drill, tape measure and marker to make sure u mount the seat straight..... Quite easy actually....
-
Roy, try below http://www.rmsmotorparts.net/

Dane, after many headaches and one custom rail fabricated which wasn't adjustable, the Bride rail was the perfect solution, wish I had bought it from the start, would have saved $300..... From memory the Bride rail cost $250, Henry is a top bloke and usually has a lot of stock.... Did u buy side mounts with the seat? If not stop by Revolution Race Gear (up the road from RMS) and buy some universal side mounts (around $70), and ur laughing... Took me about an hour to mount the seat to the rail, as I had to get the right position, coz I'm short ... Cheers, Jack P.S Coz ur a short prick like me you'll like how LOW the 'LOW MAX' rail sits, my head doesn't touch the roof even with a helmet on.....
-
Dane, look at getting the Bride 'Low Max' seat rail for s13, got mine from RMS motorparts in Mitcham, they will bolt straight in and u can use universal side mounts to mount seat to rail....
-
Well done guys!!!!! Good to see Team Wang terrorizing the competition and coming up with excellent results, well done Chris, shows that big power is not a necessaty.... Snowy, looks like soon you'll have to upgrade ta 3 litre pepsi bottle.....
-
Hey ferni, it's always a bummer to leave atrack day early, at least with your car it doesn't seem serious... I was coming in to turn 2 a little too hot, oversteered thought i could correct it with giving it some throttle and opposite lock and before I knew it I kept going around until I hit the grass and 360 into kitty litter. Closed eyes and hoped for the best, opened eyes to see the barrier a fair way ahead still.... Had to come off one day!!!!!
-
Nice photos pontiff, got some good action shots there.....
-
Don't know what to expect at Sandown, never had a good go at it yet, will have to chase Snowies time.... Brakes should be sorted by then aswell..... Aaron, my car is the filthiest its ever been, I suppose cutting the grass and ending up in the kitty litter doesn't help!!!!!
