  1. Matt, I would personally not use semi comps for a street/daily driven car. They're noisy, pick up all loose stones and blasts them into your inner guards, annoying to say the least. Also you won't get the mileage out of them compared to a competent street tyre. I'd say go for some RE11's or AD08's, reasonable grip and very quiet... Sorry for the hijack, good luck with the sale....
  2. It all depends on who u get to do it, your basically rebuilding ur bottom end so wouldn't be cheap. If I was doing it I would get another short block and get it done, that way once it's ready pull the engine out take the head and sump off, put it all back in and retune. That way the car is off the road not as long, and plus you could sell your short and recoup some costs.
  3. I've been quoted $4.5k delivered for the crank and piston kit from greenline.
  4. Looking forward to your results Nick.... Did you go 86.6 or 87mm pistons? Did you get the kit with or without rods? Very tempted at the moment as the kit without rods works out to half the price of the step 2 kit.
  5. Have seen this car in the flesh and it is a very clean example. Well modded with quality parts and would make an awesome street/track car. Good luck with the sale Ben......
  6. The fastest car will be a skyline, but not necessarily 4wd..... Will come down for a looksee......
  7. If only you could stretch the budget a little.. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/351879-eoi-racepace-rb28-vcam/page__p__5656336__hl__rb28+vcam__fromsearch__1#entry5656336
  8. Ultimate RB engine: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/206406-rb29-wow/page__hl__rb29+wow That is all.....
  9. That's a very wise decision. And next time do not post your unrelated thread in the for sale section... P.S no need to thank me for my comments, your very welcome....
  10. Look, I may be wrong but shortening the gears will reduce your top speed, and since your car will have heaps of power you may find yourself stretching 6th. What speed would you say your previous car has reached down the straight at EC?
  11. Good to hear Steve, surprising how much you got to remove to respray an engine bay. Short ratio duffs will help acceleration, but interesting to see how you would go at EC, long straight will test your car's gearing, just keep in mind you might reach the limiter in 6th before turn 1. Would definitely suit Wakefield though.... Where is the SAU track day?
  12. Fark me those lap times are insane!!! I take it the car has quite a few power mods??? Any vids?? Congrats....
  13. Yeah I'd say maybe a 245 or 265 wide tyre might do the trick. Buy a GT-R!!! Still for sale......
  14. Yeah I have always had a soft spot for BBS LM's, but I have too many sets of wheels and need to get rid of some. You'd be surprised at the room they have for brakes, the Alcon 6 pot 365mm rotor package fits under these wheels no problem, was shocked when a fellow member bought the brakes and was worried they wouldn't fit under his wheels, and his were 18x9 not 18x10.... Anyway, back on topic, any updates Steve???
  15. Steve, no clearance issues with the 285's, have run them with 10.5'' ce28n's aswell without issues. What profile are the 295's? 30? I'd be weary with that width on a 10.5 inch rim, make sure there isn't too much bulge in the tyre, otherwise you will get sidewall movement reducing grip. It may be ok but just keep it in mind.... What brand tyre are you going to use?
  16. That looks heaps better!! Middle lip painted white and with the coil overs makes the car look much lower to the ground. Top job, well done.... P.s are they CSC brakes?
  17. Hey Matt, I'm pretty sure I don't have them, will have a look again but I don't remember seeing any caps when unpacking them. Cheers, Jack
  18. OK, here are some pics. Pics of each individual wheel... And some of the tyres... As the pics above show there are a few marks on 2 of the rims, and the tyres have a bit of life still left in them.... PM or reply if interested, price is negotiable... Cheers, Jack
  19. Hey guys, Got another set of wheels for sale, taken off one of the cars I recently purchased. They are quite rare in this size and cost a sh!tload brand new. Wheels are silver with polished lip. Will post pics up tomorrow night but from memory 2 of the rims have slight gutter rash. Tyres were quite worn will check tomorrow but I'm sure there was at least 50% tread left on them. Good for atleast a couple (if not more) track days. They are 18x10 with a +20 offset, suitable for R33 and R34 GT-R's. May fit R32 GT-R's but will need some sort of guard mods (lipping) and some decent negative camber. Located in Narre Warren North (VIC) but will ship interstate at buyer's expense. PRICE: $3200 ono Pics to come..... Cheers, Jack
  20. I had been eyeing off these a while, quality rims in the right size and rare colour combo. Well done Peter on the purchase, they suit the car very nicely. Do you get any rubbing on full lock?
  21. Subscribed, nice work Steve, very much looking forward to this build. Surprised your not going extra cc's to push that t04z.... Either way good luck with it all....
  22. Hey Sean, I'm pretty sure I have some original Rays centre caps from my first set of CE28's I bought about five years ago. Will try and dig them out tonight. Cheers
  23. Well done Sean, the car looks tuff with the wheels. I'm kinda regretting selling them now.... You running any coilovers?? Also have you contemplated colour coding the spoiler between your bumper and lower lip? It would give it a more aggressive look and seem like the car sits lower aswell.... Very nice car mate, credit to you......
  24. Still for sale, reasonable offers considered......
