  1. Yeah I might just bite the bullet and go nitto not exactly wanting to risk a fresh built 25/30. But thanks everyone for the heads up
  2. Thanks for the advice spool got back to me in regards for the clearance… turns out it’s only ment to have 0.02mm movement between inner gear and backing plate which is sounds pretty excessively tight for something doing 7000 rpm. So gonna pull it apart again to re check clearances
  3. Oh ok. Yeah the gears in the housing itself. Seems really tight just doesn’t feel right at all compared to a n1 pump I can spin freely. Both have backing plates still on. Is this norm?
  4. Is this why the Tomei oil pumps can’t turn by hand from new? I’ve had numerous other brands and it seems so tight
  5. Hey guys i have a rb Tomei oil pump I’ve purchased used. And is hard to turn… as in couldn’t turn the gears by hand. Installed spool billet gears this arvo and doesn’t turn by hand aswell. Does turn when dummy fitted on the crank with no binding just has resistance. I’ve only delt with factory pumps. Is this normal?? Inspected pump housing and it looks basically like new. Thanks in advance!!
