Hello all, I am looking to upgrade my transmission to a CD009. My tuner referenced me to a local who was doing the same project as me, but didn't finish and is selling. My tuner knows the person and has vouched for the quality of parts being in good condition. He is offering for £3,500 (AU$ 6,815.93) CD009 gearbox with RB25DET bell housing fitted New Clutch Fork (fitted) New Release Bearing (fitted) OS Giken STR2CD twinplate clutch with brand new rebuild kit I have absolutely no idea if this is a good deal or not. I appreciate any insight from those who know these things better than I. Thank you in advance.

My r33 Skyline currently has: ---------- Front: 18 x 8.5 Offset 30 Rear 18 x 10 Offset 35 ---------- As I shop for new wheels, I am finding these exact wheel size/offset combinations to be a bit more uncommon than I expected. If I purchased wheels with a different offset, what do I need to consider? Is there a threshold of +/- X offset different that wheels can be without major modification? What about downsizing the rears from 18x 10 to 18 x 9.5? The wheels in question I am interested in buying are: ---------- Front: 18 x 8.5 Offset 35 Rear 18 x 9.5 Offset 38 ---------- Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

Hello all. One of my rear wheel bearings has gotten noisy lately, and given my car is 27 years old and likely has never had them replaced (or at least not recently), it's a good time to replace all four. However, I'm a bit confused. Is the rear a hub assembly, and the front just a wheel bearing? Any clarification would be appreciated. Thank you.

Oh they look great...they roll...less great haha, front driver-side is minorly bent. Not dangerously, but enough to be really annoying. Hence, this adventure to buying new wheels (or rather at least one new wheel). Possibly to buy four new wheels if the right ones jump out at me, but definitely keeping them white no matter what. -

You all are making me think I incorrectly measured the wheels lol. Will definitely remeasure everything once they are off the car later this week. -

It's very possible my measurements are wrong as I did measure with the wheel and tire still on the car. It's possible I didn't judge inner gap correctly and ended up adding width. I'm eager to buy new wheels, but I think I might be putting the cart before the horse. The best thing to do this right. I can take off the wheels off, I might even just have the tires taken off and do some proper measurements. It won't cost me much, if anything, and will save me a whole bunch of headache in the long run. -

Ok, maybe I'm approaching this the wrong way. I'm trying to buy new wheels, and I was having trouble finding the exact offset needed for my r33 GTST Spec 2. I figured trying to reverse engineer the wheels already on the car was a good method, but maybe I'm over complicating tings. I tried using this thread, but I was unsure how to translate what others had and their set-ups versus my own. I know the wheels I have right now are 18 x 9.5, front and rear, so it's just the offset that's really throwing me for a loop. I'm not sure if stock GTST offset would be the correct answer because again, I have GTR calipers and 370Z rotors. I've replaced the rotors recently and taken the wheels on and off enough times to know I don't have any spacers. -

I should clarify that the previous owner put the wheels on, so Im not entirely sure what he bought. I was searching the Rota page and found these two as the only matches. It did not occur to me that perhaps they sell these wheels with different offsets. I guess the best way to solve this is to take the wheels off and measure them from the inside to be sure. -
My '96 r33 Skyline has Rota GTR, 18 x 9.5 inch, ET30 on the front and Rota GTR-D, 18 x 9.5 inch, ET12 on the rear. (Put on by previous owner) The 12mm offset is throwing me for a loop. Is it due to the "deep dish" design of the wheel that the offset it so low? Or is it actually that low on the rear normally? If I were buying a set of new wheels, could I put 30mm offsets on the rear and reasonably expect them to fit? I have GTR Brembos and 370Z rotors (355mm/350mm) if it matters. Thank you.

Is there any bracket or fitting difference between the GTST and GTR? Or will an alternator advertised for an r33 fit my GTST regardless? -

I need a new alternator. From my research, the r33 GTST had either a 80A or a 90A depending on the series. I have no idea which one my car has, can I generally be safe with a 90A alternator replacement without any concerns? So long as it's still a 12V. Thank you -
'96 r33 Skyline Car didn't have a catalytic converter (when I bought it) and I failed an emissions test. Got an new one easy enough, but what is the flow direction? I.e. which side needs to face the front/back of the car? The spigot is for a temp sensor, which I will be plugging up. Is there any issue with this? Thank you

So, some exciting updates. 1.) EBC has been super helpful and is exchanging my rotors for properly sized ones 2.) On the way to work today, my brakes seized up and would not to fully unclamp from my rotors, causing them to become red hot. 3.) I took it to my mechanic and he thinks my ABS might have gone bad, among a number of other things. So I decide to nuke this problem and am having him completely rebuild my brakes with a new master cylinder, ABS block and caliper pistons. And just because I'm officially sick of dealing with these brakes, I'm going to have him put the new rotors and pads and and bleed it the damn thing for me, lol. For the price he offered and the quality of work he does, I can't complain. I really appreciate everyone's information and help, thank you. I learned a lot through this little adventure!

Hello all, Me again with more brake questions, lol. I have a r33 GTS-T. The calipers are GT-R Brembos, but the previous owner put oversized rotors on (14in/355mm front and 13.5in/343mm rear). I'm not sure where he sourced these rotors, but I have been unable to find replacements of the same size. The EBC rotors I purchased designed to fit the r33 GT-R are 12.8in/324mm front and 11.8/300mm. They also sold GTS-T rotors which are 11.6in/296mm front and 11.5in/295mm rear. I'm not really sure how to approach this. Right now. My Brembo calipers are too far away from center to use my purchased rotors. Can I remove the Brembo mounting bracket adapter and bolt the calipers directly onto OEM mount? Can I purchase new mounting bracket adapters to fit my smaller rotors? Or do I just need to source larger rotors? I appreciate any advice. Thank you.

I think this might have been it. I ended up letting the car sit for two days with the denatured alcohol (hobby shop was closed for Easter) and when I went back on Tuesday and tried again, everything bled without a problem. Best guess I have is that was some sort of blockage and the alcohol broke it down.
